Hotel Hornsgatan

Absolutely amazing staff - nothing’s too much trouble, great location, good value for money. I liked the kitchenette/breakfast area with selection of snacks and milk/yoghurts (my favourite Oatly milk was always there in a little fridge, that makes all the difference if you can’t have dairy) - it was great to have a cup of coffee and a slice of cake on late arrival. I also enjoyed bread from the bakery and two types of herring. Good size room. I had everything I needed. It was clean, modern bathroom fittings, comfortable bed, hairdryer.

There is not much to complain about. it’s located in the flats of two buildings, that is great, because you feel like a local living there, but you need to memorise the way to your room if it’s in the other building. On the first night there was some vibration coming from outside - from some sort of a generator or something like this, but with ear plugs I slept really well, so it wasn’t an issue. Otherwise it’s very quiet and if you are not a very light sleeper like me, you probably wouldn’t even notice it. There is a dispenser with shampoo in the shower cubicle if you need one, but the shower gel is in the dispenser by the sink, out of reach. It’s all very minor details really and the pros of the hotel outweigh any cons.

The Location is fantastic, the hotel being on Södermalm and within walking distance of the old town. Plenty of public transport located near the hotel too. The rooms are very comfy with the necessary amenities, the shared bathrooms are also kept spotlessly clean. The snacks and drinks available all day are a great touch too. The staff at the hotel really make your stay perfect too, they are an invaluable asset to this hotel with how kind and helpful they are.

The walls are poorly soundproofed, so you can hear the noises in the hallways easily. Not as much of an issue in the night time but I'd recommend having earplugs if you are a light sleeper or somebody who needs to nap during the daytime.

Great staff, amazing location and buffet. You will have access to drinks and snacks as long as the kitchen/dining space are open. Beautiful interior.

Careful with rooms facing Hornsgatan. There is a night club downstairs and even with ear plugs you will not be able to sleep due to VERY loud music played until 3am.

The rooms and facilities were very good. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just right for us as we don't like hot breakfast and prefer cereals, breads and fruit. All day access is also great.

We had one room at the front of the hotel and one at the rear. The hotel is located above a bar with a terrace on the street. This was busy until 11 pm most evenings and until 1 am on sat night. The street is also a busy street for traffic. So we needed to put on the desk fan to try and drown out the noise. The room at the rear suffered from noise from a local night club or very noisy neighbours. Bass beats were noisy until the early morning at the weekend.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations! As a solo female traveler, I was worried about safety and when I got there my worries went away I felt so secure and safe there and it gave me a great impression of Stockholm. I felt very safe in Sweden in general. The breakfast is so generous and delicious, I looked forward to it every morning. The all-day coffee and snacks were a nice and generous touch, and the staff was happy to help me navigate to my must-see locations. The room and showers were very clean and cozy. I will definitely stay again whenever I am in Stockholm!

There wasn't anything I didn't like about this hotel. The only thing I was disappointed in was the social aspect, I expected to be able to meet other travelers and that didn't really happen. A hostel will be better if you're looking for a social place.

Very good value for the money. Easily exceeded my expectations. Showers and toilets are shared, but there are enough for everyone, and they are all kept in excellent condition. The hotel provides towels and cleaning supplies. Liked my room - nice and cozy. Had everything for work and comfortable sleep. A nice breakfast is included. The dining room is open all day - drinks, fruit and cake are available at all times of the day. Nice area, interesting in its own right, and has good transport connections to the rest of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. They let me borrow their phone charger because I had forgotten mine. Very thankful for the breakfast bag I got for my early departure.

It was a great experience to stay in this hotel. The owners are very kind and supportive. Upon check-in, everything was kindly explained, including additional advice on what to do in Stockholm. The room was excellent; nice and very comfy king-size bed, place to work, internet, nice view of the street... Well everything :) All you need (supermarkets, restaurants, public transport connections, etc.) is nearby the hotel. Breakfast was excellent! But, what was even more surprising to me is that the owners made their canteen available for the entire day (!), providing guests with some delicious pastries, cookies, fruits, and hot and cold drinks. They even left some umbrellas next to the entrance door, so that guests can borrow one if it's a rainy day. I mean, the level of kindness is just amazing! I've stayed in many places, but this one was the best, both in terms of comfort and the approach of the owners to business! Highly recommended!

I was a little confused about the address but the young lady at the front desk was great, she came and met me out front and helped me carry my bags up the stairs (the elevator had just broken). She even helped me get checked in early and showed me some nice places on the map. The hotel is just a block and a half from the metro station and is very centrally located. The room was clean and so were the facilities.

The room was a little hot and opening the window didn’t help because there was no cross breeze. To be fair, I never asked for a fan so I’m not sure if they have them available if you ask. The bed and bathroom were small but I knew that when I made the reservation, I had just forgotten how small a single bed is.

I liked everything about this hotel. Let me start by telling you that Clara, the receptionist, was brilliant! I missed my flight from Denmark, and she was more than happy to help with a really late check in, and I did not lose my reservation. Also, she provided me with a map and directions for the city. The location was amazing, as it is a 5-minute walk from the metro station, and Gamla Stan is only a breath away! The breakfast was nice, and you can have treats during the day; after a long night at the airport, you may need a well deserved tea (or coffee). Thank you Clara for everything! I’m sure that I’m going to make another reservation in the future ☺️

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! First all, staff was so nice, polite and helpful with everything, especially the lady with with the blond, short hair!! Rooms were so clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and moreover there was coffee/tea, drinks, fruits and cakes -biscuits 24h, which was amazing! Lastly, the hotel is located in a central area, where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars etc and the metro is just 3min walk . We would like to thank you for everything, we had a blast!
