Clarion Hotel Grand Östersund

Quiet and comfortable. Great breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Great location.

No workout area or gym - 2 old kettlebells and some yoga mats, but no area to use them comfortably. Shower was very small (and I’m a small person!) - otherwise comfortable. Other local hotels have more generous common areas / lounges, gyms, spas … would likely choose a different location next time. If gym doesn’t matter, this is a nice choice.

The positive things were a friendly staff , a very varied and tasty breakfast and the fact that the hotel is close to everything: the train station, Jamtli, the cosy shopping streets, the compact city center, and all the restaurants in the area where the food is simply delicious.

The exercise area/gym at the pool could benefit from a little TLC.

Right in the center of everything. Very clean rooms with a nice bar and the service from Jesper was exceptional! He really made us feel welcome. Everything went smoothly from registration to check out. The breakfast was excellent with a wide array of everything.

The staff was absolutely amazing. The girls behind the counter very helpful and the guy at the bar funny and providing service with a smile on his face. Very pleasantly surprised. Oh, and the breakfast was great too!

That we had to leave without having tested the sauna. Otherwise, there's nothing not to like.

Breakfast & location were great! Providing the two sets of towels of different colors was a great idea!

The hallways were dark. Our luggage was stored in the locked luggage room when we checked out. When our driver returned to retrieve the luggage, he was told it wasn't at the hotel.

Like "Rituals" amenities in room. Location was perfect.

Only one bath towel per person. Price is not cheap per night and only one towel? We arrived after long trip, checked in and immediately had shower, in the evening we wanted to have shower as well, towels were still wet, like in the camp, not 4 stars hotel. At the bar tables were always dirty.

Centrally located at the beginning of the main shopping street. Easy acces from E45. Breakfast buffet with many choices included. Typical comfortable city hotel

No climatisation, but one window could be opened. Breakfast time needs to be booked ahead as Corona measure, but in fact booking is not controlled at the entry. 15 minutes waiting time at the reception due to an arriving bus at the same time with manual check in of each bus passenger. No service or even drink during this time.

Close to the city center. Just 30 min walking distance from the Östersund biathlon arena if you are winter sport fan :) The lake surrounding Östesund is just 3-5 min walking distance. QR code based breakfast booking system, great in the COVID times. Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff.

I was on a business trip. Unfortunately the hotel's booking system was unable to produce an invoice which met the requirements of my country's tax authotity.

Very good hotel. Receptionist was great - very welcoming, very helpful and very professional. I would be very pleased if I were her Manager. Food was lovely and a good hotel with good location.

Nothing really. Perhaps a slightly larger pool but that's just nit picking

Dirty tables everywhere, only one, not big bath towel per person, so if you stay only for one night and you have shower after long journey just after ckeck in, then in the evening you bath towel till wet, brrrr, nots for such price for night. Breakfast average
