Hotel O'Pazo

I wanted a break from hostels while on my Camino and this place was perfect. I arrived dusty and tired and was invited to rest in the shady garden and given water until it was time to check in. A lovely quiet clean room and a chance to order dinner made me feel very relaxed. And they agreed to do some laundry also. All for such a good price including breakfast! Really - do yourself a favour peregrino and spend a night here if your camino takes you to Vigo. You won't regret it.

Nothing. It was all good. In high summer the lack of Aircon might become an issue but it wasn't when I stayed.

Excellent spot for an overnight near Vigo with a car. I was there to pick someone up from the airport the next day. There was free parking opposite the hotel in their own car park. Clean, tidy room with plenty of air and light. Welcoming receptionist (in Spanish). Good buffet breakfast. There's an Eroski supermarket about 10 mins walk away, plus beautiful Parque de Castrelos nearby.

The hotel is very much on the outskirts of Vigo, so there's not much "city life" around. I knew this and it was fine for me. I chose it because of the parking, the buffet breakfast and the price.

breakfast had a range of options: fruit, bread, cereal, fruit, tasty coffee and tea, yogurt, and more. To improve more I would add nuts. the staff were a delight, especially Ana and Noélia. super attentive and caring. My suggestion would be to up their salaries although I don't know what they are, or give them more support or holidays. They are ace! The room was comfortable, I would just add more hand soap.

Only a little sachet of liquid handsoap. I felt it was insufficient and also not eco friendly.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, although the room was boiling hot when I came back from town. So hot, I had to sleep with the windows open. The lightning scheme behind the bed was quite interesting as well, and the room was surgically cleaned. Very impressive. Plus they have a 24 hours bar service, with good prices, and a free parking lot (although expect to walk on mud depending on the weather, as there is no pavement on that area).

Being slightly overweight (1.70m / 110Kg), I had a rough time getting into the shower (and out!), as the cubical was less than 1 square meter, and the doors by the corner could not slide wide enough to let me pass through smoothly, so I had to squeeze myself in and out as if I were trying to get on a train early in the morning. Besides that, again, all good!

Staff both at the reception and breakfast doing great job. Breakfast was better than on average during our Camino stays. Freshly squeezed orange juice and tortilla de patatas are the highlights.

Sometimes it felt that other guests are using our bathroom (and room) not theirs as basically every noise could be heard through. Shabby and uncomfortable bed.

A wonderful oasis after a long hot day on Camino from Baiona. Close to the route, clean, welcoming, with a dinner available for 12 euros (two options of starter, Main, dessert with a drink and a coffee). Breakfast was a varied continental style. Staff were lovely, and the bed very comfortable. We had a terrace room. Recommend as a Camino stop.

Very nice building, very clean and well maintained. Comfortable relaxing areas on the balconies. Rooms were comfortable and good value for money. The staff are really one of the best assets and made this stay very enjoyable. They were very friendly, accommodating and really helpful. Id go back just because of the staff extra effort.

The style of the hotel, the garden and the different terraces to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings which where just lovely, the staff are so helpful, they speak good enough English if you are not spanish speaking,, they work very hard to keep everything tip top, the room we had, had its own balcony where you can comfortably sit overlooking the garden, it was very clean and comfortable, and the food was also very good, very very good value for money. We would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional host and very helpful. Great place to relax after a lot of driving. A bit out of Vigo to go site seeing. Had an attic bedroom. No AC but portable one is provided although noisy. Room very clean. Breakfast provided and wine and tapas provided in garden in the evening before dinner.

Exceptional value for money. Ensuite room including very good breakfast for 34 euros. Lovely old building in immaculate condition. Very clean. Skylight opening in direction of sun making the room very light. Good set menu dinner for only 12 euros. Large grassed garden area and terrace with tables and chairs. Quiet.

The wifi dropped out occasionally. The room had twin beds. I sleep better in a bigger bed.
