Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa

it was tranquil yet had a good atmosphere. very good location. the staff are lovely and seem happy which makes me happy -especially the young waiting staff in the restaurants. I remember a few names of staff who made me feel particularly welcomed (I was a solo traveller) thank you so much Pedro Lopez on my first night in the Spanish restaurant eating alone and i was truly well looked after. Nicolas at breakfast and his wonderful staff. Jose and Santiago in Asian bar and have to mention Sam the entertainment guy because he does entertain! I will definitely return next year to this lovely resort next April.

I went half board - it would be a nice touch if evening dinner included water or a glass of wine at no extra charge. My side sea room view is looking over a car park - so I do think I would pay extra again - instead go the full sea view option. on a lesser note - the potato crisps in the room- (looks complimentary) are beside the free coffee and teas however €3,50 for a small packet.

The location was incredible, along with the facilities around the hotel. Majority of the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

They really need to up the training of their bar staff, there was little to no consistency in their cocktails day to day, and that was if you got someone willing to make the cocktail you asked for even when it was clearly on the menu. We also upgraded to the preferred club but the staff kept trying to get us to pay for additional items which were included in the upgraded package, poor communication.

Room was quiet. Beds comfortable. Bathroom clean and well stocked with toiletries and towels. Pool area pleasant - no problems with sunbeds. Pools fab - especially the small heated one - my nine month old loved it! The flumes were good too. Food good quality. Breakfasts were brilliant! The Sabor restaurant was good too. All staff excellent! Brilliant location.

If being picky...we asked for contents of mini bar to be removed but reception staff said not possible. Also would have been a nice touch if the tea and coffee and milk was replenished daily. Was told we could have complementary water each day but this didn't happen at all. The food was a bit samey and I can't recommend the a la carte restaurants. The last night we went to the Bluewater Grill. We were sad to be going home and this meal made us even sadder! One of the worse meals we have ever had in a restaurant. None of us finished the meal. This definitely needs to be addressed as other guests mentioned they too were very disappointed with their experience at the Bluewater Grill!!

Great location amazing views especially from the infinity pool for preferred club members. Room is compact. it has everything you need and lots of nice little touches too.

Felt the decor was a bit bland particularly in the main bar area where the big screen TV was. However that’s my personal taste, there was ample comfortable seating. There didn’t seem to be many restaurants open in the hotel so glad we only did bed and breakfast. Loads of good restaurants on the marina.

Spotless and smells amazing. Great facilities, friendly staff and brilliant location.

That you had to pay an additional €90 to use the spa for the length of your stay and it was only open in the afternoon. Not good value. Also, the food was a bit hit and miss. We went half board.

staff were very busy and could have done with a few extra. preferred pool was very busy more than any other part of the hotel. I was half board so had to pay for my drinks which was fine as long as the quality was good. unfortunately due to hotel also offering all inclusive the quality was not very high at particularly the pool bar.

We booked an ocean view preferred club room for an amazing price and wow - we couldn't fault it! The room was immaculate, modern and spacious and had an amazing view. We had requested a double bed, however on arrival we found two twin beds - which we pushed together. We were only bed and breakfast, however due to being in a "preferred club" room we enjoyed extra perks such as a complimentary mini fridge which was filled each day with beer and soft drinks, access to the preferred club lounge which provided free soft drinks and snacks, and also to a separate breakfast area which had amazing service (and mimosas too!) Preferred club guests get access to 2 additional pools, one of which is an infinity pool with a swim up bar which was amazing. The staff were so helpful, and the animation/rep team are a credit to the hotel! Lastly, the location was perfect for us. A ten minute walk in either direction took you to the marina/town centre, and the beach directly in front of the hotel had crystal clear water.

We had nothing negative to say about our stay, however I would definitely highlight that if you are not in a "preferred club" room then you miss out on a massive part of what makes this hotel 5 star!

Lovely Hotel situated right on the promenade overlooking the sea. Three minutes walk to a beautiful sandy bay where it's an absolute dream to swim every morning before the beach gets too crowded. We stayed in a swim up room in the Preferred Club. Just a note that the Preferred Club does not mean exclusive to Adults (which was what we thought) but we only saw a couple of well behaved children during the week in the designated areas. There is an Adults Only pool but we much preferred the Sea Legs Pool with it's swim up bar. I think the Hotel must have been quiet during the week we were there as there were always plenty of sun loungers available and luckily there were only a couple of people that felt it necessary to reserve beds so didn't make it feel like it was a dash to the pool every morning. The staff are the best here! They absolutely made our time so enjoyable and were friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Daniel front of house in the Blue Grill Restaurant in Preferred Club - he was an absolute joy and a credit to the Hotel. Always a friendly smile and laugh and a hug with him and it made our holiday so much more enjoyable to have this good energy every morning. Breakfast in the Preferred Club was amazing, so much choice, just everything you could wish for. Because the Hotel was under occupied there were only a couple of Restaurants open in evening for all inclusive guests. We chose to eat mainly in The World Cafe, which there was plenty of selection and no queuing or food running short. The evening entertainment was fun too and was just a lovely atmosphere everywhere especially on Karaoke evening when we had so many different nationalities singing it felt like the Eurovision Song Contest - really enjoyed that evening. We met many returning guests in this Hotel which speaks for itself and I would definitely recommend it as it's one of the best we have stayed in! A huge thank you to the management and staff.

The lunchtime buffet was a little underwhelming after the outstanding breakfast but you did have the option of choosing from a menu which was cooked fresh to order. We stayed in a swim up room and we were expecting just that. However, I would have called it more of a plunge pool as it was very narrow and only about 3 feet deep. I could just about swim in it (I'm only 5'1) but my husband really struggled. The room itself was beautiful though and I'm glad we made that selection. We weren't sure if there were people sneaking into the Preferred Club areas as there we did discover ways they could get around the security gates. We felt this was a little unfair and needs to be challenged by the management as extra is paid by the guests staying in these areas.
