Portixol Hotel & Restaurant

- Let’s start with the arrival… the curb appeal of this place has you feeling like you made a great choice as soon as you pull up from the airport, which is only 10 min away! Then you’re greeted by their amazingly welcoming staff and get a free welcome drink card upon arrival - They have a welcome beach tote with flip flops and towels in the room - There is poolside service and all of their food is marked for allergens… expansive and delicious menu - Well stocked gym that opens up to a terrace. My husband and I worked out on the terrace and it was magical - Everything is sooo aesthetically pleasing. Awesome art, beautifully designed all throughout - The views from the room are breathtaking - The bed is comfortable, the shower is big and water pressure is awesome - All of the minibar items are free!! And they even have fresh fruit. They freshen up and replace all of the freebies in the room when cleaning it and clean it soooo well between sleeps. It was sparkling. - You can rent bikes for free - and there are lovely rides to take all along the water. We rode into town as well and the ride back was super quick and easy - They have chess and other board games available to play in the bar - There’s a great little restaurant on the same corner that serves food all day for when you want to mix it up - When we came home from a night out and the kitchen was closed, the man working the front desk literally made my husband a ham and cheese toasty and apparently it was delicious. That’s how nice everyone here is!!!!

Food is very nice and the hotel is clean and tidy. It's in a great location and is 10/15 mins from the airport.

The housekeeping staff are very loud in the morning. Doors slamming, knocking and banging around in other rooms above and on the same level. There is no thought to the other guests who cherish a quiet morning. I did point this out to the reception. Hopefully housekeeping will be fully informed.

Fantastic location by the portixol harbour, close to a small Beach with cozy restaurants around. Free bikes to go to the city (10 minutes) and to beaches outside palma. Beautiful pool and a very relaxed atmosphere - even with a full hotel there is no crowds by the pool or breakfast. Fantastic breakfast, restaurant and bar.

This is our fourth visit to Portixol hotel. It is a small boutique hotel on the coast just a beautiful 20 minutes walk into Palma. The rooms are not generally large but very well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast is a treat served ‘afternoon tea style’ individually to each table and orders taken for cooked options, the smoothies are all delicious. There are bikes available free of charge for guests to cycle the amazing coastal path. All the staff deserve special mention for being very pleasant and helpful.

We wouldn’t return if we didn’t like it.

Beautiful, stylish and tranquil hotel. Lovely additional touches such as a complimentary mini bar and a wardrobe stocked with extras such as a basket for poolside and portixol flip flops. Bikes are provided for an excursion into town. I loved that the hotel was cool and breezy with open windows and doors rather than air conditioning. The acoustics are good despite the stone floors and it’s a very calm atmosphere. The location is great - close to town but next to a beach, and happily devoid of drunken tourists since there are no noisy clubs or sports bars nearby.

The service was friendly but a bit patchy, and I found myself ignored or having to ask repeatedly for the same thing. The pool area could do with more shade as the position of the hotel means that the umbrellas don’t do a lot. The room was nice but the hallway looked a bit tired. On the whole a very nice experience however.

Everything was perfect!!

Very nice boutique hotel, with a very spacious room, comfortable bed, mini bar with ample water free of charge (as well as soft drinks that I didn't try), big terrace overlooking the sea. Fresh fruit upon arrival, welcome drink at the bar, hamper with flip flops and towels for use during the stay, all very nice touches giving the hotel a very personal and welcoming feel. I didn't try the pool but it looked nice. Was offered to use the facilities even after checking out. Beautiful terrace for breakfast overlooking the sea. Free and excellent bike hire (with use of an app) which made it easy to get around the area (including cycling into town).

The furniture was a bit worn down, although otherwise very stylish - this is nothing major (and everything was very comfortable), but this was a bit unexpected given the price of the room. The breakfast (not a buffet but fixed selection of fruit/yoghurt/bread/toast plus eggs on order) had a somewhat limited choice, which was fine for me, but I can imagine would not suit all tastes/expectations. A minor point is that I expected the hotel to have a private beach (I probably misinterpreted this from the web site), but this wasn't there: there was a public beach very close, nice enough but no parasols..

We loved everything about the hotel. We had come down from the hills after a week of being bitten by Mosquitoes in a villa that was lovely, but tired and a freezing pool. We all had a super family lunch, the staff were amazing. We then sent the kids back to the UK and my husband and I had a perfect couple of days of rest and fantastic nights sleep. We loved it.
