Eurostars Hotel de la Reconquista

This is a grand building in every sense of the word. It is a bit 'tired' and in need of updating in places. But the rooms are very good, huge beds and very good bathrooms. Bar snacks are very good and reasonably priced. The inner sitting area is very comfortable and is a very large space with a stunning glass panelled ceiling. Car parking on site for a charge but very secure and convenient. The price of this hotel makes it very good value and feel a bit special. it is located very close to the main shopping area of Oviedo and about a 10 min walk to the old town across the beautiful San Francisco park.

Some of the furniture is a bit worn and the American Bar, while pleasant, feels like it could do with a renovation.

Room is spacious and the service is exceptional. Parking place has ample room. Location is outstanding - right at the centre. The facilities are excellent. The central lounge is an ideal place to have a quick drink ion the evening before dinner. The hotel is renovated with modern amenities, but has retained the old palatial charm. Loved the stay.

The room temperature at night kept changing making the room a bit too warm for my liking - I fixed it by switching off AC and keeping window partially open at night

Really great, very special hotel. We enjoyed it very much and would have liked to stay longer. Like living in a palace. Very big, nicely kept room, big and comfortable beds. Big hall with lots of sofas and seats is lovely. You can sit, enjoy a drink, eat, relax. Beautiful building. Lovely staff. Situated very near to the Corte Ingles, thwme park, coffee places. Old town can be reached on foot.

Hairdryer from last century did not dry my hair. Old shower. Coffee powder. But better that than nothing.

Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel could not be better. Hygiene kit in the bathroom, slippers and water bottles provided. They also do have a parking.

Everything was good. Maybe the shower was not very well-though because the water leaks everywhere (but that is resolved by one towel). If to be capricious - then I would be happy to get a room on a higher floor, but we were there only one night so it really did not matter.

The room was exceptionally quiet and spacious, and the location was perfect. Very close to San Francisco Park (beautiful for morning walks) & exploring this charming city. Also, the concierge, Andrea recommended wonderful restaurants for us to dine in & took her time with us reviewing a city map & pointing out places of interest! Also, the grand piano in the salon was a special treat for my husband who played it during our stay.... On site parking was a plus....

For the caliber of this type of hotel, they should have a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Offering packaged instant coffee was very disappointing & should be considered by the management.

This is a prestige hotel right in the city centre. Very well appointed, excellent restaurant, nice staff, very comfortable AND 2 grand pianos. The city of Oviedo is a must see in my book.

Maybe a bit far from a big choice of evening restaurants - plenty of cafes but seemed to close around 17.00 each day. However, consider dining in - the cooking was fine.

A building imbued with history and quite extraordinary spaces The main salon and the courtyard are zones of tranquility in the heart of an exciting city. Excellent breakfast buffet and the evening restaurant, although still pulling it’s offering together after an almost two year Covid closure, served excellent tasty dishes from a limited menu.

Our room was spotless on check in but our private terrace had been overlooked and had used beverage cups and full ashtrays.

We loved the historical style of the building. We’ve been wanting to stay for a while and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Sergio in the Bar Americano who made the best cocktails! The room was a nice size with a large comfy bed. We loved the nice little touches like on the first night we came back at night to find a complimentary tray of small chocolate desserts and a large bottle of mineral water. Our last night there was an electric hot water pot with teas and mugs. The location is fantastic, just a short block from the beautiful Parque San Francisco and right in the center and near everything. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely stay again in the future.

The restaurant was just ok and didn’t live up to the quality of the rest of the place. It also would have been nice to have a shower cap in the bathroom and iron in the room.

Wonderful historic hotel in the center of this delightful old Asturias city. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms large, well equipped, clean and quiet. A short walk to a great public park and good restaurants. Reasonably priced, the best hotel in this historic old city.

Beautiful grand building which is nice to be around. Big bed and huge wardrobes with lots of drawers. Bathroom had lots of hot water and a good shower, two sinks and a bidet. Staff were really helpful with recommendations for a restaurant in the nearby mountains.

It’s not about the facilities and more about the feel. So yes there’s a kettle and no coffee maker but that’s not really what it’s about.
