Parador de Cordoba

The balcony and the view is the best thing about this property. The staff were also very good. The room is spacious and comfortable. The linens were super fresh and starched. I loved the kettle with the delicious teas.

The whole place seems to need a good cleaning. It's not that the room wasn't clean but many other areas could use a good scrub e.g., the main patio needs sweeping, the fountains need to be emptied of garbage or cleaned of grime and there was a huge pile of dead bugs off to the side of our balcony. That's just a few examples. It's also a shame that it was 28 degrees and the pool isn't open. It was hot and stuffy in the room and the AC didn't work well. We kept the balcony door open all night and so we managed.

Nice quiet location an easy bus ride from the centre , beds very comfortable and big airy room , didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food.

The pool was not open with no explanation why or no prior notice which was disappointing

The parador is set above Cordoba and so the views were lovely. The hotel is beautifully kept and very clean. The balcony was large with very comfortable chairs. Reception staff were excellent. The outside bar and seating area was very relaxing.

The staff at breakfast were not especially attentive, hot breakfast was requested but never arrived. Not a big problem but not the best breakfast experience.

Nice bedroom and lounge. Views. Terrace setting nice .

Lacking in atmosphere. Small dated bathroom. City noise..dogs..building works. Staff disinterested. No info on hotel area or anything else offered . Restaurant staff poorly trained..main course brought to table before starter finished. Same issue at breakfast. 10e taxi to town centre.

The staff at the Paradore were outstanding. Friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was large and comfortable, with a balcony (which we did not use), and a seating area. Also had a large walk in wardrobe and an in-room safe. The towels were superb. Extensive selection of food for breakfast. Food was very good and reasonably priced for this type of establishment. Lovely to have the use of a swimming pool on hot days. Lovely terrace for dinner and drinks. A really great stay, and our group felt it was good value for money.

The Paradore is a decent step from the centre of Cordoba, so we had to taxi in and out. Cost about 8-12 Euro each time. The Paradore is very grand, but has seen better days; it is quite dated, but very charming anyway. A number of outside groups use the Paradore for functions eg Bridge Club, wedding (ended at 5am), and the tennis and paddle court. This did not inconvenience our group, but it might be a negative for others. We would definitely stay at this Paradore again.

Love, love this property! It is situated on a hill overlooking Cordoba. The lobby was very impressive, it is an impressive property. We had a 6th floor spacious room with views over the city, the pool and the magnificent gardens. we had a deck to entertain our friends on for drinks. The lovely, large pool had a bar and there were plenty of seating options. The breakfast was great and the staff were always helpful and present.

The view of Cordoba while enjoying a late night desert on the terrace was ... spectactular! After dinner at Casa Pepe in the old Jewish quarter, and a taxi tour back to the Parador, the terrace and view were perfect. I am a long time "amigo" (14553747) and this was our first visit to this Cordoba after so many other wonderful visits to other Paradors since 1981.

It was hard to find. We had a map, but no GPS and many of the streets seem to have no street name sigh. So, we missed a couple of turns and had to stop and ask for directions. Luckily my wife and I understand Spanish. After guidance, we arrived safe and sound and were welcomed by the great staff.

The hotel is modern but still reasonably elegant. There are views over the city to the hills beyond. The city centre is easily accessible - about 30 minutes on foot mostly downhill and a 6.50 euro taxi back. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Pool access was restricted - it is not open until midday and on our visit was closed because the weather forecast for the region included possible electrical storms and though there were blue skies and no obvious risk we were told that the staff lock up and go home as soon as the warning is issued.

The location is excellent … just out of town far enough to be somewhat quiet … but not to far to walk to surrounding attractions ….. The fact that they offer verandas with a view of the city is best …. and food was great

Like most hotels in Spain … they let you pay extra when you book for breakfast and dinner all inclusive … but then they charge you for drinking water … 1 glass of water in the room when you arrive .. then you are on your own … very strange to me

The room was verycomfortable and clean. The staff were exceptionally good and helped me with my Spanish when it let me down! I was disappointed that the pool was closed espe ially as it was 32°!

Consider keeping the pool open a little longer or put information about it being closed on the website for visitors who do not know about the seasonal opening dates.
