NH Córdoba Califa

The location of the hotel is excellent. We arrived by train and it was about a 10 minute easy walk from the station to the hotel, mainly walking through a park. The hotel is on the edge of the very interesting Jewish Quarter and less than a 15 minute walk to the Mezquita and historic centre of Cordoba. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is very nice. The room was not large but very comfortable with a good bathroom and shower. There is a nice breakfast room and you can have breakfast outside in a lovely courtyard. The Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location was great. The room and facility was clean. Short walk to the mosque cathedral and Roman bridge and 15 minutes walk to the train station. Breakfast was tasty and we love the patio in the back during breakfast!

The hotel room AC was not strong enough. It was 37 degrees outside in June, but in our room it was also very hot like 28. The room didn’t cool down until late at night, and heats up again during daytime. They should get new AC units.

Hotel ideally located on edge of old town and also not far from the main commercial/shopping centre. Also within easy walk of main train station. So can walk to all the main sights, restaurants, bars, shops, trains & buses. Very reasonably price and comfortable hotel, very nice staff and excellent breakfasts.

Door stops! There are 2 door stops for the room entrance door and bathroom (1 would have done both jobs) screwed to the floor immediately in front of the clothes cupboard and safe. The number of times we stood on these or banged our toes into these when using cupboard was numerous and painful when no shoes worn. Very annoying and poor design feature of room. Very small point and annoying but all the positives far outweigh this and should not put you off!

The location was excellent. It was just outside of the old city which was crowed with tourists, but still very close to the major attractions. We walked to the Roman bridge from here twice. It was just off the major road so very quiet. We walked every where (include from and to the train station) from here. The room was clean and we did not request a cleanup on the second day. We did not have the breakfast at the hotel as there were so many places to eat throughout the city and they were very good priced!

The wifi was a little slow, but it was not a big deal to us as we just need a good place to sleep.

Good location between the train station and the old town, comfortable beds, windows that open, and terrific breakfast buffet. The staff had posted modified hours for all the sites for Holy Week and they had information about the festivities. We were lucky to have a street view room to watch a Wednesday procession from our bedroom windows. Luggage storage was great and the staff even made us a picnic breakfast when we needed to leave quite early to catch our train.

This wasn't an issue for us, but it might bother some. Our queen bed was actually two twins pushed together.

I took the train to Córdoba a bit early around noon, the receptionist is quite nice and already have room ready for me. The room is spacious. The location of the hotel is wonderful, I walked randomly and discovered the Jewish quarters nearby and then also close to the Mezquita. In the afternoon I saw some visitors sitting in the lobby watching the final of the world cup. That is quite nice. I took the coach to another city the 2nd day, it is within walking distance to go the the train station or bus station from the hotel.

The location of the hotel was ideal! Just a stone's throw from everything; the main bus and train terminal, the tourist sites, etc. The breakfast was beyond what I had expected. It was plentiful with a multitude of options for all dietary needs. My room was spacious and very comfortable, with a balcony!

My only issue is the structure of the hotel. The rooms' ventilation systems run along one system, so you can hear everything occurring in the neighboring hotel room's bathroom. This is fine when your neighbor is using a nice-smelling cologne, but conversations carry as well as any other sounds one might make in a bathroom...

Great Hotel, with friendly, helpful, professional staff. Good location central to main attractions within easy walking distance. Good breakfast, comfortable, clean, safe, well equipped rooms with air conditioning well capable of keeping you cool, which is very important as Cordoba can ge into the 30's even in late April and 40's in July. Great shower too, lovely and clean and just good overall. We had a great stay here and would gladly return.

Difficult to fault.

The NH Califa has a great location in the city, right at the edge of the Judería. This means you can get to the hotel easily with a taxi, and then walk into the older part of town through beautiful streets!

Breakfast was good, but it seemed to be a bit limited in options. I also noticed on my last day that I didn't have to eat scrambled eggs every day…apparently you can order eggs as you want them, but I didn't see any signs that said so.

The hotel is good located for exploring Córdoba. The breakfast was very good. The stuff was friendly.

The first room we were in had a broken ACC and as it was very hot outside we had a couple of warm hours. It seemed that cool air was coming out, therefore we waited. It was not a problem to switch the room though and the staff was understanding. We were there for the open patios so the price was quite high for the room we had, but it was high season.
