Azul is a wonderful place to stay - impeccably clean and comfortable - gorgeous breakfast of cheeses, ham, eggs, fruits, creeals, juices, etc etc. Plus gorgeous banana cake when we were there. A great way to start the day. They also supply picnics if you want to hike for the day, or just laze on a beach. Staff were all a pleasure to have around - very helpful on every possible request - and invariably friendly. Plus it is 3 minutes from the main square with its fresh fish restaurants and to the steps down to the main beach. Book it if you can - it gets booked quickly!

The wi fi was often too weak to use in the rooms...but that may just mean that the network in Zambujeira itself is weak.

Azul was a great location. Walk to square/restaurants and easy access to the beach. It is set up high on a cliff so be ready to walk down stairs to get to the beach - it's worth it. The view is amazing from up high! There is also a boardwalk walkway that goes out even further right next to Azul. We stayed for two nights, one night is probably enough, especially if you are traveling around. Most people are walking the Fisherman's trail that runs right by Azul, so you meet many interesting people. The breakfast is very good!

I have just returned from a weekend stay at B&B Azul located on the Costa Vicentina at Zambujeira do Mar, and the whole experience was beyond amazing. Carla the owner, Sofia, and the rest of the team made my stay warm and welcoming. The bathroom facilities are perfect, with plenty of hot water that doesn't run out, and the buffet breakfasts are a thing of beauty! On both mornings of my stay, I enjoyed the most delicious buffet packed with freshly baked Alentejo bread, an assortment of local hams and cheeses, regional jams, a variety of breakfast cereals, hot and cold milk, yogurts, fresh fruit, juices, hot foods like scrambled eggs and sausage, and so much more! Carla the owner bakes her own produce so the buffet always includes freshly baked loaves and regional cakes, which are beyond delicious. My room had a balcony with a view of the ocean, and all the restaurants, bars, and shops are within a short walking distance, as is the bus terminal. Room service was tops, the bed was so comfortable I finally slept until 8.30 (something I cant do at home), I could see the ocean from my balcony, and the rooms are fully equipped with TV and satellite channels, air-con, heating, power shower, and daily room service. A memorable stay. Highly recommended!

There's nothing I didn't enjoy.

Everything was perfect in a very friendly atmosphere! The room on the first floor with small balcony and some sea view is practical and tastefully furnished. We loved the bright blue and white colors of the house even in the stairwell.

Absolutely nothing

The room was very bright, cheerful and very clean. We were greeted by friendly staff. They had small buiscuits and teas in our room. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was a lovely stay. We wanted to extend another night but it was fully booked. Will know better next time and book more than one night. Location excellent too and close to the fabulous Fishermans trails. Highly recommend ! Thank You to the staff at Azul for making our stay so pleasant .

The breakfast was really really good. Eggs were made on request and they were absolutely fresh. The location was perfect and the staff was stellar.

Sound isolation is a point of critique. Of the 3 nights, we could only sleep 1 in good quality. The other two nights there was a couple staying next to us who were holding marathon lovemaking sessions. To our dismay and the rest of the guests in the hotel.

A very nice spot, well appointed and very pleasant atmosphere. It did seem oddly expensive for what it was, compared with other places we stayed on our trek down the Fisherman's Trail. A small suggestion: the fragrance used in the room was a little overpowering I am not prone to allergies but it did bother me. Perhaps it was just the day, though.

AZUL has a wonderful location and lovely view from the balcony. The room was always extremely clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. There is also a nice breakfast every morning and the outside area was really good. The common areas were well maintained and had with a nice atmosphere. We have stayed for a whole week and had a great overall experience in this place!

There is room from improvement in the bathroom - towel system should be more practical by applying some rails in the bathroom walls so towels could be re-used in a more sustainable way. The top part of the shower wasn't working and there was a a bit of water leak coming from the bottom of the shower although it was protected with a screen. WiFi connection was poor.

Breakfast is included, which is very nice. Good location along the Fisherman's Trail and the staff were really friendly, although we didn't interact with them much. Room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable.

I wasn't provided a door code for the main door upon checking in and had to call so that someone could open the door.

Very comfortable and clean room with a fantastic view of the ocean, very nice staff and owner, cleaning every day. Great location and great breakfasts in the form of a buffet. We highly recommend this place and will certainly come back.
