great property; great services; very professional staff; stylish environment;

poor communication with reservations team (we were given wrong information; very misleading); did the enquiry before booking about the swimming pool facilities for the kids, where we were informed that “kids can use indoor pool”; however on arrival there was unpleasant surprise - kids are allowed to the indoor pool only 10am-12pm (2 hours only) and the rest of the day you are left without the possibility to use that indoor pool; if we were informed about it before booking that wouldn’t be a problem; but we asked specifically for the kids possibility to use the pool (as the outdoor pool is freezing) very disappointing as the rest of the hotel was fantastic

Its a real gem. Did not expect it when we first booked it and especially did not think it to be this pretty after we had already driven 10mins of dirt road into what seemed to be the absolut middle of nowhere. But then you are there. And its much prettier and more stunning then on their recent photos. Also: They have a very young and eager staff and just finished their soft opening and are very open for feedback and to make your stay as pleasant of possible. I really rarely had that many open and honest interactions with the staff at such a resort in my life. Very refreshing, makes you feel even more comfortable, if the views and lush nature around it arent already enough to please your soul.

As I said: They just finished their soft opening phase and still have a couple of things to figure out, but since they are open for constructive feedback anything that is not to your liking will be fixed - and you´ll get a little extra on top. P.e.: we had a couple of minor points of critic and were immediately upgraded to one of their suites with a private roof and little pool, which completely spoiled us but will get you a little idea about how commited they are. BTW - Thanks to Kristina & the crew from reception - that was a real nice treat for us!

The location was quiet and peaceful surrounded my natural beauty. Waking up listening to the Birds , lovely walks and beautiful beaches. Rooms were large and stylish. Elemis products throughout the room. Staff super friendly and attentive. Great facilities including a new spa and great quality gym. Food- the breakfast was fantastic everyday and the evening dinner was truly always to an excellent standard that really made you feel like you were staying in a world class hotel.

Location is great, lost in the middle of nowhere, perfect for a getaway and to take some time off The decor is splendid, every detail considered. The room was spacious, the bedding quite comfortable and great pillows. The food was great, but expensive, and limited offer. I enjoyed this place very much, I would suggest to up the service level. Get guests' names in advance, share hotel services (spa, activities, etc) beforehand, get to know what would suit the guests, who they are, allergies or concerns.

The access to the hotel is terrible, it is something that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The food was very much on the high price, (bread+hummus+carrots 8euros per person). The staff kept going in and out of the rooms for cleaning, and only at nighttime you would have quietness around the buildings, not that pleasant. The room was not entirely soundproofed, and we could hear the other guests above us. Also something somehow disturbing, the bathroom has a window, that at the ground level exposes whoever is in this room. Noticed it the first day and then stepped out to check if indeed one could see inside and yes, one does. I would advise to consider blurring this window somehow.

Praia do Canal Nature Resort is located in a reserved area. The location is beautiful, and the architecture is incredible. The service provided by the staff was unbelievable and always surprise me. Melisa and Johana at the front desk were absolutely amazing, the same as Jose at the restaurant. They were always very helpful, and they will go beyond their duties to help. Sofia the yoga instructor is absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable, and engaging. Her classes were one of the highlights of my stay. They also have a Spa, that you can take advantage of every day, and it's complimentary, all you have to do is reserve a time to go. The breakfast is incredible and is included with the room rtae and the restaurant is also very good.

Very relaxing location, each evening an activity idea was left in your room for a walk/nearby drive. The rooms were completed with high quality finishes and very clean. The pool area was fantastic with bar service to your sun loungers. The bar at the hotel was great and they could make any drink you wanted. The breakfast was also really good.

The location meant you either had to eat in the on-site restaurant or drive but there were limited options nearby. The menu in the restaurant was limited and often they didn’t have everything in stock - but the food was amazing. The food was also on the expensive side compared to the rest of Portugal (e.g. €6 pp for bread). The lunch service by the pool was very slow and we often had to ask for things multiple times.

Hotel is new, modern designed. Loved the design of hotel, rooms and restaurant. It’s different from other hotels so it was very different stay for us. Room and bathroom is very spacy and quiet. Restaurant’s meals are GREAT, absolutely worth the price. At the dinner I ate the best cauliflower in my life, desserts and coctails were great too. Breakfast has lot of choices, also very good.

Hotel’s location is not the best, it’s in the middle of nothing. There are two roads, Google maps took us on the worse one, which is sandy road full of stones. Our rental car was big car, with smaller car we wouldn’t be able to go on that way. By the way Google maps shows location of the hotel wrong-it shows the beach, not the hotel. Hotel’s stuff told us to use the other road, which was better but still at night it’s not the best way to go. If you want also to see other places in Algarve as Faro, Albufeira etc., this hotel won’t be the best location to stay. Pool was little bit dirty. Hotel seems to be very nature friendly, that’s why red colour by the pool (sunbeds, umbrellas,…) doesn’t match so well with the nature in my opinion, that’s what I would change in the future:)

Literally wonderful hotel. It is located in a beautiful and peaceful location within a natural park. It is clear that the architects and designers wanted to respect the place, starting from the shapes and colors of the structure on the outside and in the interior design. All the staff is extremely kind and professional, assisting the customer from arrival to departure and throughout every day spent in the hotel. The breakfast is exceptional, with a huge choice of products and a lot of variety from day to day. The Azeitona restaurant inside is perfect for gourmet dining, the chef is excellent. The swimming pool is very large and allows for a nice afternoon rest if you don't want to go to the beach. Arrifana beach is few minutes away and it is very beautiful with constant ocean winds: a surfers' paradise. We stayed in a very comfortable and spacious sea view suite, with attention to all the details.

Given the level of the hotel, it could be useful to improve the spaces and the experience in the spa.

Magnificient hotel, with superb staff. Everything about it is great. First off, the hotel looks really good. Both the interior decoration and the exterior architecture. The weather was quite bad (very windy), but still, we had an amazing time. We ate at the restaurant twice, and we really enjoyed it. The bar was great too, the barman was super nice. There was plenty of space and sunchairs by the pool.

I think there are two significant problems with the hotel. First is the access road, which is in really poor shape. Unless you have a jeep your car will suffer. The second, issue, and that is a bigger one, is that the hotel has a lot of stairs. If you have a baby in a stroller like we did, your back will suffer since you have to carry it everywhere, including two flights of stairs to the room.

The property and its design are stunning. we have stayed in many great hotels in many countries but Praia do Canal was one of the best. Our compliments to the architect and the interior designers.Superb.

Staff was amazing but in the restaurant too slow. it was hard to get a bottle of wine. The first evening we waited 25 minutes and the second evening asked, in the kindest possible way, the lady showing us to our table to not forget us once we sat down and come and for someone to take our drinks order. It made no difference. I think their ‘system’ (with some allowed to take orders and some not) does not work. It’s too complicated. When we complained (which is unusual and we did so politely) the reaction we got was unpleasant. That said the staff and waiters were on general very pleasant and friendly so this was an ‘outlier’ experience! It did not take away from our overall experience and had it not been for this we would have scored a 10 out of 10!
