ECORKHOTEL Evora

This is a really beautiful place to relax. Located outside Évora, it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. Ideal to get away from the tourist filled town but also close enough to drive there for dinner, sightseeing or shopping. Architecture is minimalist, just like the Alentejo landscape. Each room is a little white bungalow (no kitchen) with all amenities one needs and good working A/C, essential in the summer months. Beds are comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. The pool is on a roof top with a stunning view. Good value for money.

Location, views, excellent breakfast and good quality of the food for dinner. Amazing spa installations, very well kept and clean. Various massage options and two very good masseuses.

Bathroom required of maintenance (loose hooks, missing tile in shower, humidity on wall paint) Exterior of villas needed painting Exterior pool area unattended, full ashtrays, bins not emptied, need of sweeping. Only one waiter serving the tables during dinner, would have made the experience more pleasant if he would have had help.

We had a nice stay at the ecorkhotel. The staff was friendly and the room/facilities were quite nice. The location is calm and during summer I'm sure it will be very relaxing. Unfortunately it was quite cold when we were there so we could only use the indoor pool. Which was perfectly fine since it was march and we weren't expecting much else. But since there is not so much to do in Evora abd the sourrounding area, next time we would book at a warmer time.

A bit dissaponting was that the restaurant (not the lobby bar - there snack menue was perfectly fine) is not really good. The menue sounds nice, but food lacks in presentation and taste. It was also a quite long wait for the dinner (allthough restaurant was empty since there were not many rooms taken at that time). Overall we just thought that the prices didn't match the taste/quality in food.

Reception staff were so helpful. One of our party had an airline issue and they took care of the whole thing, which really put my friend at ease. The restaurant waiter was great (and served great G&T)

Sunday Buffet breakfast was really good but the Monday pre-order service was not quite a smooth. The indoor pool was really too warm for me, but I'm from Scotland, so that means anything over 18C!

We really liked the property and the location. Very quiet and far out of the city centre. The pool area is gorgeous and the indoor pool very nice and warmish. It was my birthday and i was surprised with a birthday cake, thank you very much :) And a huge thumbs up for the electric cars charging station! We loved the room, large and quiet.

In general, the hotel needs some "love and care" and some maintenance, specially some paint work outside the rooms. The breakfast could be better, is average. Good coffee is a must and at least a good selection of fruits is expected.

Liked the staff, overall idea of hotel in rural setting, surrounded by wild flowers and sheep. Great pool, great SPA experience : one of the best. Location was perfect. Close enough from Évora to get an uber and go to town without having to drive.

I wished the rooms were warmer, but the a/c was enough. I think the buildings were the rooms are situated need some update: paiting is fading and needs some "uplifting".

Awesome location. Very easy to get there. The installations were beatifutul, with all the amenities, great SPA (Sauna and Turkish Bath). But the best was the staff. Very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely nothing, everything was great.

Blew me away. I arrived late and tired but the staff settled me in. The next day was lovely and even though the had a buyout of the resort which meant I couldn't extend my stay, they let me use the pool for a few hours past checkout. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Staff were very nice and welcoming.

I was there 4 day. By the third day the pool was dirty, it had loads of hairs and dead bugs. I know this happens, but it gave me the icks.
