This hotel was located in the old part of Evaro, with nice, walkable historic sites all around. Many good restaurants and shops were within walking distance. The narrow streets were interesting and the locals were all quite friendly. Our room was just great-with a large bedroom and a king-sized bed. The living area was big and well furnished, with high curved arched ceilings (which the bedroom also had). The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of shelving for our toiletries--the only occasion we experienced that in or two weeks in Portugal.

Parking was just not available, and we used a lot about a half mile distant--a bit of a pain since it was a good uphill climb from the lot to our hotel.

The place is absolutely beautiful, as was the service. I would absolutely stay again but if I was travelling alone or with a partner.

One thing I found disappointing, and would like to have been made aware of at the time of booking is that the pool is not always available. It needs to be booked in advance and is available in blocks of 1 hour time slots. This makes the days trickier to plan. As well, considering how hot Evora is in the summer, my girls (daughters - 14 year old twins) and I would have loved to drop into the pool at our leisure. While I understand the pool, is small, again this should have been advised as it would have been taken into account when looking for places to stay.

Room was very nice, I asked and they gave us the blue room, large and had a small kitchen and nice seating area, location was great, though we had a little trouble finding it with the car. We come from Washington and small roads in Europe are not easy for us. We parked were we found a space and walked with our luggage. It was closer to the hotel than we thought. Later we found other places to park just next to the hotel that we did not initially see. The bed was comfortable and bathroom huge and they left Nespresso pods and tea.

Despite being April it was a cold day. The room has only one heater in the living room area and it took long to heat the bedroom. It did not reach the bathroom and it was cold there. Perhaps a small space heater would have helped. We did find and extra blanket in the closet and that helped.

Location was excellent close to everything and room was very nice with all the extras for comfort. Wonderful kitchen with everything need and lots of space. Bonus had swimming pool in small garden

Liked everything. Loved room and 3 big windows which I kept open for air and view. If sensitive to noise choose different room because can hear noise from street below. They have several wonderful rooms

Beautiful room (we were upgraded to a gigantic suite) with ultra-comfortable king bed. Everything thoughtfully designed and outfitted. Decorated with wonderful trompe-l'oeil wall paint. Excellently equipped kitchen with just the perfect selection of things one might need for a short stay, including an espresso machine & capsules, napkins, dish detergent, plenty of cutlery (nice too, not cheap or thrown in as an after-thought), kettle. Very spacious and well-designed bathroom (vast! larger than life! ). Everything was so impeccably clean, it was stunning. And the renovation of this property, of course, truly impressive. This is a very old building with an interesting history, that was lovingly restored with a lot of care and clearly some ingenious engineering and design choices. Challenging project that was obviously well-worth it. Impressive in more ways than I can describe here. The staff was so proactive and attentive. They contacted us ahead of time to anticipate our arrival and make sure we got in & parked ok. We felt very welcome and wonderfully met. I would return if ever in Evora again and will be recommending this hotel heartily

We were met by Helder, he made our visit truly special. He gave us a tour helped us with parking. he shared history of this amazing site! We loved our room, it felt like a step back in history, very medieval. The location was fantastic close to the historic center. We had a kitchen and could make coffee. The hotel does not have breakfast or pool at this time of year.

Excellent location, very comfortable main sleeping room, the living room was larger and with higher ceiling, which made the sofa bed a bit less comfortable. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The towels smelled incredibly well, by the way! :)

Parking your car is a challenge, but that's a city problem.

Perfect location in the center of town. It was very close to all the main attractions. Malafda and Anna were very helpful. Breakfast was worth getting, and very tasty! The room was lovely, bed & pillow was very comfortable . Recommended a great restaurant that was exceptional too!

The room, the facilities and the staff were all excellent. The property is located close the center of the city so get getting anywhere was very easy. But it was also very quit at night so no issues with noise or sleeping.

Nothing. They even had a large storage area where I could keep my bicycle during my stay.

We were overall very happy with our 2 bedroom apartment but found that it lacked natural light. It felt like sleeping in a fortress. It was very convenient to get breakfast delivered to the door; the selection was good but not great. We preferred going elsewhere, to enjoy some eggs, fruits, yogurt, etc.
