Hotel Londres Estoril / Cascais

Great value for money. Room was very fresh and tastefully decorated. Spacious too, plus it had a balcony facing a garden. Pool area was nice. Had it been hotter I might have tried it. But still a nice area to lounge and read. Excellent common area with bar and a large screen TV where they had a live broadcast of Champions League football. And as guests we were given our first glass of wine for free. Tasty breakfast.

It's not super close to the sea. Also I discovered that, in my opinion, Estoril as a town doesn't have the same charm as Cascais. About the hotel's bar area - while it was a great to have it, at one time i took an amazingly long time for the guy working there to actually get our drinks done.

Bar/lounge staff were super nice, I can't say enough about them! The bar area itself is great if you're looking to relax. Lots of couches, and they even had live music one of the nights. Food and drinks are really cheap! Pool area is great, but water is freezing! Nice location close to train station and busses. Shortish walk into Cascais. Breakfast was great! Hotel itself is clean and I enjoyed my stay.

Front desk staff are not personable at all. Looked like they would prefer to be anywhere else than there. Check-in wasn't great, and my room wasn't ready on time. They gave me some excuse but after a long flight from Canada it was really frustrating. If you are any way fussy about the bed you sleep on, then this won't be for you. They make noise and you can feel the springs. The bed frames are stained and old horrible cushions and throw that is not needed at all. Rooms are dated, but ok if you're just using it as a place to sleep.

We loved the helpful staff and the excellent breakfast......we used Uber to get where we wanted to go. Overall a pleasant stay😊

The fridge in our room was tiny and not very cold. Our room was on the street side and if the balcony door was left open it was very noisy from the passing traffic.

Hotel is located in nice neighborhood, in close proximity to the beach. Room had a balcony which was a plus. Special thanks to the bartender that made our stay very fun!

When reserving rooms we were not informed that we are getting rooms that are below ground level. In hotel i asked receptionist and she assured me that they are normal rooms which was not the case. After complaining we did got other rooms on higher floors. We also had cleaning lady coming into one of the rooms even though there was “still sleeping” sign on the door - that was a bit uncomfortable - her explanation was that we are leaving that day, but she did not really changed the sheets or towels (to prepare for next guests).

The rooms were pleasant with all the expected amenities. We were on the 4th floor but the lifts were handy and operated well. The ground floor was well appointed and comfortable with lounge area, large TV, friendly bar for drinks and snacks, terrace overlooking the pool area and an efficient front office area. The garden and pool were well kept and comfortable. The hotel is well situated for Monte Estoril village with several bars and restaurants and we used this area for meals including breakfasts. There is a walk of around 500 meters to the lovely Tamariz beach and access to the beautiful promenade walk which stretches to Cascais and passes the gorgeous coves and beaches during the approximately 20 minutes walk. This walk passes many beachside bars and restaurants. The hotel does have a restaurant, which is popular for breakfast and dinner.

We requested adjoining rooms but these were not available and room service was not completed on one day.

The location is excellent, so quiet with just the sound of the birds chirping and yet only 10 minute's walk to the beach. Exceptionally clean throughout, fabulous staff, poolside service, with really comfortable sunbeds, which were always available. A massive thank you to Raquel Moreira who made our holiday one of the best. The walk to Cascais is beautiful, about half an hour but we took an Uber, only 3.50/4 Euro! Bus stop around the corner to Cascais too.

Really fantastic place to stay - highly recommend! Super location - literally 5 min walk from the sea front. Clean and tidy. Lovely, friendly staff. We asked if it would be possible to upgrade us and they very kindly said yes! All in all, a great stay.

This is very minor but on the bed, the duvet covers and duvet weren't connected/done up, so they kept coming apart and getting twisted around us in our sleep. Seriously minor prob, and also we thought €9 per person was a bit steep for breaky, but then again it was all you can eat, so. It was great though - nothing really bad to say about the place. Highly recommend!

The hotel is nice and quite comfortable. The rooms are decent sized with a nice bed and fairly big bathroom. Location is perfect, close to the beach and the train. There’s a nice bar/lounge area where you can relax after a day by the pool/beach or out and about. Before booking, I had read reviews staying that the staff might not be the friendliest, but I found them to very nice and helpful.

The breakfast was a bit basic, and the towels are quite worn - they could use an upgrade.

We styed for 3 weeks and were very impressed by the staff's sincere responsiveness, by how often everything was cleaned, how small and intimate the hotel felt. Rooms are small but cute and comfortable, breakfast is filling and dependable, location is amazing. 5-7 minutes walking from a beach, across the street from a bank, a few minutes from a grocery if needed. Right in the hotel there is a hair and nail salon and a clothing boutique. There are not part of the hotel, the are independent and wonderful. Also a car rental office right in the same building. Wifi is strong, pool is clean, bar is simple but serves everything. Twice a week there is live music in the lobby - local Portugese oldies - just lovely. The hotel feels very safe and kids walk around freely. Located 15 minute walk to Cascais, 20 if you walk slow along the broadwalk and stop for ice cream ( of a 3-4 Euro uber ride). Estoril itself is a beautiful location. The central Casino and its park with fountains, nearby restaurants, a local night market with music food and cute stalls is maybe 10 min away and is open 5pm to 11pm. There is just so much to do and see and everything is close. Would love to come back

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff on arrival, in particular Goncalo who outlined potential room options, his commitment to customer service is excellent. The hotel is very clean with the standard of housekeeping very good and although full, rarely felt like you were hemmed in by other people. The complimentary drink on arrival is also very welcome!

The experience at breakfast is chaotic. Essential items such as milk and bread are only replaced once finished, so queues start forming at various places...meanwhile the table clearers are removing items from your table if you are absent for longer than 30 seconds. I noticed someone left their key card with their food on their table as a sign they were still there, I did the same only for the food and key card to be cleared away, which meant then having to go to reception for a new one.
