Albufeira Sol Hotel & Spa

We stayed in Albufeira sol hotel during our honeymoon trip to Algarve. Overall I would say that the hotel is good, you have everything you need near you. The all inclusive iz on avredge. There is a lot to choose from and the kitchen staff is really trying to help you whenever and however they can. Since we don't eat surten things, we somdays ate the same from the day or meal before. But overall I would say that the all inclusive is worth the money. The rooms are big and clean. The hotel overall is VERY clean and fresh.

The distance to the beach was a bit disappoiting. The nearest beach is 15-25min walk from the hotel. So we sometimes took an uber to go back to the hotel to eat lunch or dinner.

Great atmosphere around the hotel. The pool entertainment was brilliant for children! The team went out of their way to interact with kids who didn’t do their activities, played in the pools with them etc. the evening entertainment was very good with loads of variety throughout the few days of our stay. The hotel is immaculately clean. Housekeepers are present all over the hotel throughout the day and evening, thoroughly cleaning every area. Loads of variety of foods including Portuguese night and Mexican night themes.

The bed was very comfortable, we liked the balcony, the hotel facilities in general such as the pools, the restaurants and the bars, the snacks, etc.

We didn't like the WC. It was designed for disabled people and we are not disabled: the toilet was very high and the shower a little tight and on top of that there was a folding chair against the wall which took up even more space in the shower. Another thing we didn't like was the fact that the room wasn't cleaned in the Saturday until 4pm. And then we decided to stop waiting for the room's cleaning and the room was not cleaned at all that day. We also didn't like the spa, because if we wanted to use it we should pay an extra 75€ per massage and an extra money to use the sauna and the same for other spa facilities like gym, etc.

We've liked the Spa, sauna and indoor pool, even though to use the Spa there is a daily charge. The food was good, even though it was not a wide selection of products. Wi-Fi was ok for browsing. Bed was comfy. Cleaning was done everyday, but the sheets weren't changed for the whole 5 days, 4 nights stay.

The kitchen in our room was smelly and outdated. Kept the door closed at all times. The furniture as well, outdated. We had the stay in one of the rooms that has not been updated yet. TV was mounted way to high on the wall. Too uncomfortable to watch it at night. No enough choice at breakfast, apart of English Breakfast. Coffee was bad and juices were from concentrate.

Place is absolutely spotless for a start. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Food is fresh and of excellent quality and is refreshed constantly. Location is fine, would prefer a little closer to beach but there is a bus to the old town and beach every hour. Staff work hard and are very friendly when treated with respect. Not all guests appear to treat them this way however. Very nice pool area, including indoor pool and jacuzzi. Very much a family oriented hotel.

Some mildly negative comment just to consider, they wouldn't put me off giving hotel a big thumbs up though. Cocktails were so horrendous! Avoid! 200ml beer only...no bigger size available. Plastic plastic plastic.....my biggest gripe. Everything is supplied in disposable plastic rather than resuable, there are also no recycling bins anywhere. This is disappointing in this day and age. Between meals, snack bar is a buffet and is really not great. As mentioned above, this is a family hotel which is fantastic for families but would avoid if coming as couples. Is a British package holiday destination it seems....

Very much enjoyed the food, so much choice and it was all very tasty. The bedrooms were very spacious and very clean as was the hotel.

Would have liked omelette for breakfast and tea also made available lunch time and evening, not just breakfast. The entertainment team worked very hard to keep everyone entertained, however, on our first night they put on a show - The Greatest Showman, which was fantastic!! Would have been nice to have more evenings like that, unfortunately there wasn't. Good entertainment for children.

The apartment was big, comfortable and very clean. The position of the property was ideal for us and it was a central base to explore the area. The free shuttle into the old town and beach was useful. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and little repetition over the week. A good selection of all inclusive drinks, very nice pool and spa. Friendly and helpful staff

Alergens like gluten were not identified on the food labels which meant having to ask about the ingredients each time to find out what was gluten-free.

All inclusive was amazing! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and absolutely spotless. Entertainment was great for all ages, overall and really great hotel.

The one downfall was the room cleaning. It was quite poor. Towels were not changed, even when they had been left in a bundle in the bath by myself/my boyfriend. the only thing that was done daily was the bed being made. The cleaners took our hand towels and didn’t replace them for several days and our shower gel/shampoo dispenser in the bathroom was never refilled.

AMAZING room! basically an entire apartment! nice bathroom. 1 large outdoor pool with 2 miniature pools + sauna & gym. almost every night has a performance on downstairs and drinks are pretty great! i recommend all-inclusive because their food is actually great. not just your basic meals, loads of variety! although it wasn’t adults only, i went during school season so it wasn’t so busy! there’s a shuttle bus that takes you in and out of Albufeira City with the big beach too! 10/10 deffo recommend

A place to go if you don't want to worry about anything and just relax. Definitely for families. Wouldn't have gone with just my husband (we're in 30s). Food was a great selection daily. Easy vacation option to go here.

Had an issue with towel rentals. They do not provide pool towels, you have to bring your own! If you do not, you can rent them for a 20 euro deposit for each towel from the hotel spa. I rented towels, then at check out I returned. They said because I was checking out when the spa was not opened, they could not give me my deposit back! I had to check out at 8am to go to the airport, and they said the only way I could get my deposit back was if I waited till the spa opened at 11am. Funny enough, they wouldn't give my deposit back from the spa but had no issues for charging me for my spa services when checking out. After back and forth with the hotel, they finally paid me via paypal weeks later. It was a bad note to leave on as the vacation besides that was going well.
