Greenspace Palawan

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay as we traveled from El Nido and will flying back to Manila from Puerto Prinsesa airport. The location was convenient and it is near to lot of good restaurants.

As it is a new property, some of the tricycle drivers are not yet familiar with the place.

I had booked 3 separate nights here - the first 2 were fine but on the final night the hotel asked for additional payment for breakfast. I explained that all 3 nights were charged at same price so surely it’s logical that all either include breakfast or all do not. Since first 2 nights did include, I was not expecting an additional charge on the final night. So, whilst I would definitely recommend staying here, please do check for certain whether breakfast is included on all booked nights!

Greenpeace Palawan impresses from the first moment. It is situated just off the main street by a modern gastro centre. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist. we immediately ordered breakfast from the double sided room card. you can order yourself a massage after a long journey also to your room. upon entering the room, we were greeted by the pleasant smell of exotic oils. clean, tidy, balcony, nice bathroom. the staff tries very hard to meet all the expectations of its customers. tours can be purchased from the base at the hotel where you will be picked up and dropped off. I really sincerely recommend!

Place is clean, airy,bright and welcoming. Location is pretty good. Close to city Center and airport. Bathroom had plenty of hot water. Room was big and clean, excellent wifi. The best thing about this place is the staff and the owners.very nice, friendly and accommodating. Loved the dogs , cats and even the chickens around the property and the staff showed kindness and treated the anjmals so well. Marty - front reception was exceptionally so kind and always went out of his way to help and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend and come back!

Breakfast options could use a little more variety but sufficient. Didn’t offer coffee refills since 1 cup of coffee isn’t enough for some 😊. Bathroom didn’t have hand soap but had plenty of body wash and shampoo and again, wasn’t a big deal at all.

The room was spacious and included a closet. The bed was king size and had a very comfortable foam mattress. The modern bathroom had a large shower with a curtain. There was a mirror in the room that could be used when the bathroom was occupied. Breakfast was prepared fresh and you are given many options. It is served in a lovely outside area or they will bring to your room if you prefer. The room doesn’t have a fridge but they allowed us to use one in the breakfast area. There’s a new food court opening soon just down the street.

The AC wasn’t very efficient so it had to run continuously to keep room cool. They advertise that they will provide airport transfer to/ from for stays longer than 2 nights but when we inquired about it we were told to get a taxi.

Breakfast was included in our booking and we took it at the restaurant on our first morning. As there were renovations, we had it in our room the subsequent day. It was easy to book tours and car rental through the property however we had to pay a bit extra. We liked the aircon and that we could fill our water bottles.

This is a bit of a walk from the main restaurants but it was fine because we were away from the noise. Wifi was a bit patchy and the guy on night shift at the reception was a bit passive aggressive and kept rolling his eyes at our questions but we didn’t let that ruin our evening.

+super friendly and helpful staff +responds promptly to messages and are very respectful +location is a 5-min walk away from SM, Tiki Bar, laundry shop, Pagetek (Food Court) 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 and around 10mins away from airport (via cab) +clean room and got free room upgrades +water pressure for bath/shower, toilet, and bathroom sink was strong with hot/cold working perfectly +area was quiet and perfect for resting

Free airport shuttle if you stay more than 1 night. It’s great that they serve breakfast as early as 6:30 AM so that you can catch the Underground River Tour. A comfortable place close to everything.

The transport company they work with, Zion, is not that reliable. Their El Nido van which should leave at 11 AM left the town not before 12:30 noon, the driver made unnecessarily long stops on the way and left us off way before the entrance of El Nido town, far away from the center. He should have at least brought us up to the point where vans are no more allowed. This is not the responsibility of the hotel of course, but they should be informed about this bad service.

They make their own sausages Schüblig, Bratwurst, Hungarian as well as highlighting the local marinated fish. The room was just the right size, the internet connection was good, the AC worked well. It even had a ceiling fan to provide for ventilation in the off chance that the AC was not functioning - but it did. The location was central - tucked into a quiet street, the convenience store, bank and café were accessible. It was a pleasant walk to the Cathedral for Sunday morning mass. The staff was amusing and onto to our needs - the schedule of our tours and pointed us to conveniences in the area.

Probably due to the pandemic - it needed a little spruce up.

What you see is what you get. The rooms are nice and relaxing. Has balcony and the wide windows. It's quiet as it's not on the main street but the location is great as it's walking distance to most places in the city center. The staff are nice and accommodating. Very value for money. Will stay again if we ever come back.

Nothing although just noting to other travellers that they don't have toothbrush/toothpaste, bar of soap and conditioner on the ready (not sure if it can be requested) so bring your own. Shampoo and body wash are available. We usually bring our own so it's not an issue for us.
