Richmonde Hotel Iloilo

I’m a bit hesitant at first to book our stay for 9 days at Richmonde Hotel because of some negative reviews posted. However, we still believe that it’s the best place for us to stay as it is accessible to a lot of amenities. Well I can say, that they offered the best service for us during our stay. From assisting us with our luggages, cleaning the room and making sure we always have someone to help us- it made our stay as a family comfortable. Shoutout to Daniela who would always assists us whenever we dine for breakfast. Our daughter and infant found a friend in her. We’re definitely satisfied and we’ll continue to book with them in the future.

This was a curious stay as we went for a 2 night break and I ended up spending night 2 in hospital awaiting a hernia operation, having to extend our stay while I recuperated. The hotel staff were so helpful in organising take outs from breakfast for me in hospital and my wife said looked genuinely concerned. I was greeted like a war hero on my return. The buffet breakfast is superb, lots of choice (also for westerners which is not always the case here in the Philippines), the bedroom was huge and a nice pool area with a bar. All the staff were fabulous, helpful and friendly.. really helped in every way possible on my return. Great location near the mall/restaurants over the road.

The only thing we can mention is something I also read in other reviews - that there is a slight damp like smell in the corridors. This is odd as the hotel is clearly superbly maintained and don't let it put you off.. it's not an issue in the bedrooms or other communal areas.

The staff was courteous and always friendly. the early check-in was also a great experience. Unfortunately, the pool could not be used due to bad weather, which of course was not the hotel's fault. The daily cleaning was always quick and reliable. The breakfast was also good and there were various offers such as tocino or Spanish chorizo. The check out was very quick and the friendly lady said goodbye to us and thank you for stay here, i hope you come back. We will definitely come back and we recommend it to others. The room service which we used once, we had to call 2-3 times

Excellent location near mall,Restaurants and museums. The restaurant was good, front desk staff was very nice and accommodating.

Although the rooms were very nice and the housekeeping staff is excellent. The beds were on the hard side and pillows very thin. The pool area needs a supervisor present. The staff did not clean the chairs or removed empty glasses after guests were done. They need customer service training as we felt ignored when ordering our drinks, might have been a language barrier. Also need to keep track of towels, we were told there were no pool towels available. When asked when the towels were going to be available we were told when the laundry staff bring it to them. So no pool towels.

This is a very nice hotel which locals say competes with the Courtyard Marriot as the best in the city. It is conveniently located next to the well-stocked Festive Walk shopping mall. The innovative, excellent modern art museum just across from the mall, ILOMOCA is highly recommended. Richmonde staff are accomodating and the rooms are large - ours also had a nice view of the Megaworld developments in this new part of Iloilo. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby as well. It is a quiet and safe area. The hotel is also just a bit more expensive in some of its nearby competitors but clearly a star better.

Although the hotel seemed relatively new, the closests and other some fixtures in the room already showed signs of age. A bit of paint and freshening up of the rooms would go far in helping in maintain the hotel's reputation as one of the best in the city. The breakfast room is very nice and the staff accomodating but the choices could be improved a bit (and please replace the plastic fruit decoration with real apples and oranges - I don't think I was the only one who has inadvertenly tried to pick out a piece of plastic fruit!).

The location was pretty central to everything we needed - about a 100m walk to the shopping centre and super close to SM city as well. Richmonde staff were friendly and accommodating, we were highly impressed. The rooftop with the pool was so nice, especially during sunset. Our room was stunning! Very spacious and the bathroom was excellent. Probably the best hotel we have been to in the Philippines (I am Filipino and my husband and I frequent in the Philippines to visit family). Great work Richmonde!

I loved staying at this hotel! They provided everything you may need including sleepers & robes. The amenities were very clean and their pool’s beautiful. It’s on the rooftop and has a nice view from there. The staff were all amazingly hospitable, and they give you a wide variety of selection for breakfast. The two ladies at the spa also pampered my niece (who was staying at Zuri Hotel at that time).

Nothing really, except maybe for the blower in our room (501) was barely blowing my hair, but I completely forgot to tell their staff. The customer before me must have forgotten as well lol

I like how friendly and accomodating their staffs. Actually, their customer service is excellent.

Not that I didn't like it, but something to improve is the pool. Because there are some chipped tiles that are worrisome if kids are swimming and may wound them. My son had been hanging out in the pool, and I felt so scared every time he went dip his feet in some chipped tiles.

The staff are all so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. I loved the view of the room and the breakfast.

A tiny mix up that I booked a room with two beds assuming they knew it was double occupancy and had my mother stay with me, then be told days in that her breakfast wasn't included because I booked for one. I would have appreciated that this point would have been addressed as I was checking in. The blow dryer can be stronger

Everything! The really beautiful big comfortable bed, the cold aircon, the hot showers, the breakfast buffet was so delicious and yummy, their dinner restaurant paella and food was also so good, the wifi was very fast, and really nice location! Beside the Festive Mall. And really outstanding staff and service. Nice rooftop pool too! Will highly recommend!

That my stay was too short; I wish I stayed longer!
