Holiday Inn Cebu City, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is in a great location right in the heart of Cebu City, with easy access to any kind of transportation you may need, shopping, and restaurants. It's easy to get to from the airport via taxi as well. The property itself is impeccably clean, well maintained, and the rooms are very spacious. The breakfast is phenomenal and I highly recommend it if you can make use of it! The beds were very comfortable, the wi-fi was very good, and the staff were extremely friendly as well.

The TV was out for the entirety of our stay here due to "changing providers" so that was unfortunate, but otherwise I don't really have any complaints about the hotel at all.

Great location being right at the Cebu Business Park and within 5min walking distance to Ayala Mall and 2min walking distance to Anytime Fitness gym with a great park opposite the hotel. The hotel was pretty clean and had a welcoming atmosphere at the reception with both staff and overall ambiance and decor. Room was reasonably sized with comgy bed and pillow.

Wifi was a start-and-stop affair and was quite disappointing. The hotel was also having some contractual issues with the service provider for cable TV, so the TV wasn't working for the duration of our stay. Otherwise, everything else about the hotel was pretty good.

this is my second stay at this hotel and it was awesome. As I stated in my previous review, the shower and bathtub were amazing! Even though the hotel water pump was under maintenance, the water pressure was unbelievable. I have been to many hotels and this is the only hotel where I have been able to take a completely awesome, hot, hot shower. The shower nozzle had a massage function that was invigorating! I'll say it again, I would come back here just for the shower and water pressure. The buffet was good and had an excellent variety...the caveat is (just like most buffets in the Philippines), the food wasn't hot! I don't really understand this. In the US in a buffet the food is always hot. But the quality at the Holiday in is excellent, so I can't say too much. As per my last stay, the room was immaculate! Clean, clean, clean. The bathroom was shiny, shiny. I appreciate this as most 2-5 star hotels I've stay in have water faucets that are loose and have horrible water spots all over them, like they haven't been cleaned. In addition, the hotel staff were truly impeccable. Always cordial and smiling and eager to help. Thank you Holiday Inn for the service you provide. One more thing, Holiday Inn is just a short walk to Ayala mall, so no taxi is needed. I will be back!

Like I stated in my previous review...the pool is just a wading pool and it's right next to the restaurant. You can't really swim in it because it's tool small. That being stated, it doesn't really affect my rating of this place. One last thing, the hotel rates are a bit steep as I booked the standard king room which has a bathtub but with a shower as amazing as Holiday Inn provides...you don't really need a bathtub! Next time I stay I will book a standard suite.

It is very clean and our stay was very comfortable- feels like home. The location was perfect- walking distance to Ayala mall and other establishments; and all staffs were excellent!

I have 2 king suites- 1 for us (couple) and 1 for our kids. The king suite rooms are located on different floors (ours was 16th and 18th floors) and not near each other. I have to go to the other floors to check on my kids. Though it’s very safe, I have to make sure I have to bring 2 keys to go the different floors due to the elevators safety features. Anyways, I recommend if you have to book 2 rooms just book the standard rooms or 1 suite and 1 standard to be closed to your family members. Other than that, I’ll come back and stay here.

The breakfast, which was included in the booking, was awesome. So good I ate way too much, he he he! The place was extremely clean. The A/C was amazing. I had to turn it off a couple of times...the room is like vacuum sealed. The most amazing thing about the room, was the water pressure in the shower and the bathtub! I would come back for those amenities just! In addition, the room service was fabulous!

Ok, the pool is extremely small and shallow. It is located right by the restaurant, so the restaurant patrons can watch people swim..don't like that! Logistics are everything. Other than that,, it was an amazing stay

LOCATION: Located 30-40mins from Mactan International airport (depending on traffic) Php500. It is also a 5min walk to the Ayala Shopping Centre where there's a lot of restaurants, cafes & shops. HOTEL: So happy with this hotel! Room is BIG! Bathroom is BIG! Pillows are labeled soft/hard whichever you need. Love that it smells so good in the room, the hallway and lobby everyday. Everything is so clean. Powerpoints are universal so you won't need an adaptor to charge your devices. Breakfast included in our stay is awesome so many to choose from and coffee was great! STAFF: Always on smile and ready to help. Front desk are sooo helpful, check in and check out is flawless. Ladies at the restaurant spoiled us. The housekeeping lady Janhel made sure our bed is perfect. Our towels are perfect and she made sure everything is spotless. Thanks Janhel! I hope you got my 'thank you tip' I left for you! :)

NOTHING. This is my official hotel when in Cebu, Philippines. I can't wait to go back.

Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety. The carbonara in particular is excellent! (although the pasta has a different flavor every day, so you can't eat it every day) We had no problems at all with the facilities, equipment, cleanliness of the building and the staff.

The dinner menu was text-only, so I think it would be easier for foreigners to choose if it included pictures. I felt that the air conditioner was noisy when it was running, and I felt that some people would not be able to sleep. It cooled very well, but the temperature setting did not seem to work, and the off switch seemed to mean low, not off. The noise subsided when I pressed the leftmost button.

Breakfast was great. Good selections, nice, clean dining area, view of the area etc. The rooms were clean and generally a good size, the wall unit had space to lay out your stuff.

Too few hangers and ameneties like toothbrush, shower cap etc. were missing. When I stayed at Seda Ayala last November , I noticed that the guards would go out of their way to flag a taxi for you, give you a ticket with the taxi plates etc., open doors for you. Here they stayed at their corner podium and would only help flag a cab if you asked them. I think the pool location was too open and offered no privacy. It seemed as though you were an entertainment of sorts.

The location was ideal for us as we need to visit Ayala and other places nearby. They were within walking distance. Breakfast was very good with a great selection.

We found out about the loyalty scheme through the advertising at the hotel. It would have been nice to receive some bonus points for the current stay. However we learned that we would only acquire points at a future stay at a Holiday Inn. I think it was maybe a missed marketing opportunity, as already having points would steer us to book another Holiday Inn, without, there is less of an incentive. Thank you.

The location is really great. In the midst of Ayala Center in Cebu. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Great array of selection. The food tastes very good. The staffs are very kind and helpful. The place is clean and in excellent condition. Amenities are great.

At the time of our stay, there was a problem with the television/ cable connection. It was a challenge to get tv programs. The hotel informed us though upon arrival. Luckily we had set things to do while we were there.
