Room was clean, we got upgraded to a larger room so good amount of space. The gym was decent for a hotel , providing only a couple of people were in there. Front of house and weekend breakfast staff were lovely, friendly and super happy to help.

Our room was located opposite an Irish bar which opened until 3am on the weekend - the music was extremely loud into the early hours and crowds of people in the street outside. I don’t think it would be a problem from the other side of the hotel. Weekday breakfast staff weren’t that accommodating - when the dining room was busy and no free tables it seemed to be an inconvenience for them to arrange space and clean the previous breakfast away.

Great breakfast with lots of options! The dining room is nicely appointed and elegant. The recent renovation of this historic property is nice, and the location is fantastic--within a few short minutes walking to everything you want to see and do in Stavanger. The front desk staff were fantastic... very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

There was a party (wedding?) or a nightclub not far from our window one night, which was somewhat annoying. The hotel obviously can't control this, so am not digging them. Thankfully, when you close the windows, they are very high quality and sound proofed, so I was able to fall asleep.

Very classy, upscale boutique hotel right at the waterfront. Close to everything and the staff was outstanding. Common area appointments and furnishings were first class. Breakfast was outstanding. It was a wonderful stay.

Only disappointment was that we didn't realize the windows opened two ways. When we arrived, they were opened hinged from the bottom and open at the top. Didn't realize until the next day as we were leaving that they also could swing open from the side. Would have made it easier to take photos of the view. A very minor issue that didn't take away from our experience. With the convenient location (and open windows) comes one downside: noise from outside. Though we were on the fourth floor, we could easily hear entire conversations of people in the open air restaurant across the street along with motorcycles and such. Nothing the hotel management can do about the neighbors, so its not a complaint, just something to consider when booking a central location.

The hotel was amazing and we loved our stay there! the rooms were so comfortably and stylished furnished - bed was so comfy. The bathroom was newly renovated and had penhaligon's toiletries, which was a very nice touch. Staff were all very friendly and warm. Location was perfect to everywhere in stavanger - we walked and didn't have to take any public transport. the breakfast selection was amazing as well. for our pulpit rock hike, we packed croissants with egg mayo, pate and ham and it was delicious. highly recommend for a stay in stavanger.

nothing, it was perfect

The staff were extremely friendly. The room was very comfortable, particularly the bed. Breakfast was varied and had a good choice of meats, fish, eggs, cereals, and breads. The homemade jams were particularly delicious.

Getting to room 214 was a little complicated with heavy bags as we needed to climb a number of stairs and there was nobody to help us with that, however, I'm sure the staff would have assisted but we had already climbed the first set of stairs before we realized there were more to climb. As the elevator does not arrive at the lobby in this part of the building, anyone with difficulty with stairs should avoid rooms 211-215.

Historical building with updated modern amenities & decor. Our room with a sitting area and view of the harbor was excellent, very comfortable bed, warm duvet covers & giant pillows! We slept so good. The breakfast included was also excellent with lots of choices of hot items, meats, cheeses, cereals, cold items, breads/jams, fruits & drinks. I particularly liked the pan of sunny side up eggs vs the scrambled egg option which is common. The location can't be beat, walking distance to all the variety of restaurants & lots and lots of bars, and high end shopping. If you're visiting Stavanger Norway as your base to hike the famous Pulpit Rock or Kjerag like we did, this is the best luxury stay & great value...book it and be done.

On Saturday morning, the day we departed, we found out that breakfast doesn't open until 8:00am vs 7:00am Monday-Friday. Luckily the chef was kind enough to let us grab a few items before they opened.

The breakfast was exemplary, the service from all staff throughout the hotel was the best we have experienced from anywhere in the world. That includes, the wait staff, the chefs, the bar staff and the front of house staff, all exceeded their customer service charter.

The location is fantastic, however be aware that it is right within the entertainment block, and so on Friday and Saturday nights you will have very loud noise until late. So your enjoyment will depend in the purpose of your trip and it’s timing.

The property is extremely conveniently located downtown, right next to the water. It's also surrounded on all sides by restaurants and bars, and is down the street from Fargegata. The amenities are great, and the overall impression you get is that they really do want you to have the best stay possible. I had some issues with my keycard, and they were immediately resolved. The breakfast is tasty and varied, and the staff at Salon du Nord are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Still my favorite cocktail bar I've ever visited.

Nothing. Everything was excellent.

This is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city with all the trimmings. The breakfast was generous, even for the price. The bed was plush. I searched for a last minute hotel room in August, and so there were not too many options. This place exceeded my budget, but it was an incredibly indulgent stay.

This is a luxury hotel, and as such, my cheapest room was still very expensive. I wish there were more low-budget options when I traveled. But as a consequence of paying more than I would have liked, I also felt very spoiled while I stayed there - which is a pretty positive experience to end my holiday with.

Lovely hotel in the cobblestoned heart of Stavanger. We stayed one night after a hiking trip around the Lysefjord. The room, while small, was very comfortable with a great shower and nice, fluffy bed. Staff were helpful at check-in helping us sort out the best way to the airport for an early morning flight. Because it was a short stay and we left early in the morning, we didn't really use any other facilities and we didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, but we were super comfortable and our room was very clean. A very nice stay.

Our room was a little small and overlooked an outside wall of the hotel but for a short stay and a reasonable price (for Norway) this was no big deal.
