Alpine Lake Motel

It was very cosy and warm, the bed was super comfortable the facilities ammenities were accessible there were extra towels and blankets The spa bath was a highlight the shower had amazing pressure it was a nice space to spend our weekend close to town etc

The spa was small could only fit one person The housekeeping staff always came early when the guest book said they would be there at 10 they were early every day which was invasive The no smoking really let it down for us in our own private courtyard that we paid for that was apart of the room was a real NEGATIVE didnt like that at all

Room was exactly what the pictures looked like. Great layout and super comfy bed. I'm on crutches at the moment after knee surgery and it was easy to get around the room. Could comfortably fit my shower chair in the shower too which was a bonus! Quiet, good heating option (heat pump) and would definitely stay again.

Probably only the TV channels (it's all online which is a bit fiddly and quite slow) but we had access to TV, and honestly wasn't there much to watch it, so it was all good :)

A friendly welcome and shown to our room, number 1. A bright, clean room including a small kitchen, lounge, bathroom with shower and sofa bath and bedroom. There was also an enclosed very private patio with table and chairs and a BBQ. The apartment was furnished well and was very comfortable. A handy location to the lake front and town which has a lot of charm and plenty of amenities and restaurants Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the accommodation.

What an awesome motel!!! Beautiful room, with new carpets, hi-tech tv with Sky and Netflix, underfloor heating and beautiful decor!!! We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

The location is great, under 1KM from town, the room was very clean and tidy, really warm and cosy with heat pump and underfloor heating. Kitchen was well stocked and you can easily prepare a meal if you wanted. Friendly, helpful hosts. I think this will be our go to accommodation when visiting Taupo, we loved our stay.

The property is in a great central location with only a short stroll to the centre and lake. The rooms are quiet and our room had a fantastic view of the lake and the Mt Ruapehu in the background. Everything was clean and the room had all we needed.

The Airconditioning above the bed was making a low ticking sound which was noticeable in the evenings.

Unit was clean and tidy, good size for our needs. Staff on check in and key return were courteous and friendly. There was good parking as we had 2 vehicles

When I booked on Booking.com it was indicated that it would be a downstairs unit which would have been better as we had an elderly family member with us. Luckily he is still pretty agile. Definitely could have done with more sugar sachets in the room, only 4 for 3 people.

We liked the kids having beds each with a tv in their room, the spa bath was great for everyone, plenty of space for luggage and to hang clothes and space to charge, put make up on, write in journal area. We absolutely loved the heated floors.

We were upstairs so it was abit of a hassle to take all our luggage up for a family of 6. We have 4 kids so it was definitely stay in the room for them as there wasn't much else for kids to do but that was fine as we were close to ac baths and had lots of places to go for dinner and breakfast.

loved it, perfect for us revelling with a one year old. A large space with well equipped kitchen. the bedroom was large and there was space for the porta cot in the bedroom, the lounge had two singles which was great because we could close the door on the bedroom with the baby in there. great courtyard off the lounge. parking right outside the front door! all in all is was super easy and a relaxing space

Good clean large room and good to have separate tv in main bedroom if sharing Decent wifi No road noise due to good location , walking distance to the town or lake front Closing windows really lessens outside noise Aircon / heating in main room great addition for heating or cooling the main area lots of parking good facilities for cooking etc

Would be nice to have a space to empty your own bin if not servicing the room everyday as with little one they fill up Parking can be tight just in some spots and must be early to get near the stairs

We stayed overnight in an upstairs Studio with Private Spa Bath. It was superb. The room furnishings were very modern, well thought out, the large bed was extremely comfortable, there was a small table and a well equipped kitchenette. The bathroom had a good size shower and vanity and a fabulous spa bath. Free parking on site and free WiFi. Excellent location, only a few streets from the center of town and very close to various restaurants. Would highly recommend.
