Bella Vista Motel Greymouth

We never had breakfast, as we both had early appointments. Everything we wanted were in the vicinity of the area where we stayed. I recommend to anyone. Even if the stay is only for one night, it was well worth it.

The kitchen never had a kitchen sink to wash the dishes, you had to use the handbasin in the toilet. To me this is unhygenic, other people would totally agree with me. The toilet area is for customers to use, wash hands after using the toilet plus the shower.

The Motel is a good place for one or two nights. Everything was clean, we had all the things we needed in the room (plates, water kettle, toaster, etc.) and the Motel was located on a street where a grocery store, a restaurant and a fuel station can be found. Parking was included and the Check-In and Check-Out was quiet easy and fast.

The bed was a little too soft but I guess this just depends on the person ;-)

This motel is comfortable with friendly staff. Our room was a one bedroom apartment, with twin beds in the separate room and the queen double in the main room, the kitchenette was well appointed. Good sized bathroom with bath-shower. It’s on the state highway just south of the town centre. Handy to the cycle way and town. An excellent fish and chips shop/dairy is easily walkable, as is the Monteith‘s brewery. Shantytown is a short drive. Very nice BBQ facilities and outdoor seating allow enjoyment of the fine, warm evenings. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were there over New Years, and there was some noise from a party at a neighbouring property (which didn’t seem unexpected to us), and the owner was very apologetic the next day, giving us a box of chocolates - so kind!!!

Totally exceeded my expectation! Not only it was good value for money, the unit was clean, cosy, spacious and modern! The staff at the reception is very friendly. Checking in and out were a breeze. I would recommend it to anyone who plan to stay in Greymouth. Oh, did i mention it comes with a 10% discount for dining at the Monteith Brewery, and discount for gas at Mobil?

The reception was extremely friendly. The room was super clean and warm. The shower pressure was amazing. I feel like we got a bigger room from the one we had booked. Bathroom was big. It is very close to town about a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn't realise that the fridge was turned off so our milk and yoghurt was spoiled by morning. Easy fix though as I just got another milk from reception and turned the fridge on. The beds were a bit too soft for my liking but my partner enjoyed the soft bed so that's just person preference everyone is different!

Perfect stop over when arriving (or departing ) on the TranzAlpine train but you will need a taxi to the station. Upstairs room backed onto gardens-lovely birds. Very comfy and a good night's rest before travelling onwards. Delicious meal-at Monteith's Brewery in town with a 10% off voucher, from the Motel.

A little bit outside main town if you don't have a car.

Really friendly clean place. Good crockery and cutlery available for our use. Great shower!

Small TV. Room was next to the stairs and not particularly appealing, but we were a late booking and can understand that was what was available to us.

Wifi wasn't great in my room, i needed to hook into my hotspot to get access. Otherwise all was perfect. Would also prefer ground floor unit for ease of access

great location. the room was a decent size. and came with a voucher for the Monteith's bar.

the bed was not comfortable, and the shower had great pressure, but the fittings were all loose and kept moving around and made the whole bathroom wet.

Very clean and spacious room, with great water pressure in the shower and very friendly staff. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

Maybe allocating car parks to rooms would be an idea as we had one occasion there was no park available for us.
