Great service, warm and welcoming owners, tidy and clean studio apartment style room with all the extras, eg , microwave and stove top. Great pic quality on tv and overall, heating was great and it was never cold. Very quiet in the neighborhood with no traffic noise. very handy to the main street and to having Lonestar restaurant and bar across the street was a bonus.

Parking was a bit tight and not too much room to negotiate into limited spaces. The queen bed was uncomfortable and needed to have a quality mattress with hotel style topper-pad for a better nights sleep. That'll score high points in lots of reviews I'm sure.

I often stay on George St, but never here until now. I got a great price through Booking.com and expected a good average stay, but was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the room. It was fresh and clean with beds for 5, a kitchenette and a generous sized bathroom. The shower pressure was good and it had all the Sky channels! Nice people. Convenient location. A free workout walking up the drive!

It doesn’t bother me but remember if you do stay near the city centre, there will be some night time noise. Liked that these guys provided ear plugs if it does bug you.

Nice location, pretty much outside the busy centre but still within walking distance. Robyn was super friendly and welcoming, she gave us some pretty good tips to do. The room was nice, spacious and very clean. The road in front has a lot of restaurants and stores.

Unfortunally they are renewing and maintaining the road in front of the accommodation, this is temporary a one way street. Robyn contacted us beforehand about this situation. We were close to the road with our room and it gets pretty noisy. They begin around 8 with using the heavy machinery.

This was a return visit as we were so impressed with the service, room and care last time we visited. We were not disappointed - from the moment we booked their communication was clear, kind and super helpful. The room was perfect for a family, moving their teen in to start uni and the team were very helpful with suggestions and answers to questions. They were also flexible when we needed to book another night. They checked in on arrival day in terms of arrival times and car spaces and made sure check in was smooth. We’ll be back again!

We’re a family of five with three kids, 4, 6 and 13. After a long and difficult trip with lots of driving and flying we arrived at the motel at 10:30 at night with very tired, grumpy kids. We arrived to a personal welcome note and a warm, super clean, comfortable apartment. Robyn personally welcomed us the next day to check we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She also had an array of suggestions of things we could do as a family if we needed ideas. We stayed four nights and enjoyed mixing up eating out at the great local restaurants and cafes with cooking for ourselves in the apartment. Situated in the heart of the city we enjoyed going to Otago museum with the kids more than once (a short walk) and catching the bus right outside to go to various places around the city, including ice skating in St Kilda. We highly recommend this motel for its location, warmth, comfort and cleanliness. Robyn and her team’s hospitality made for a great vacation for our family.

Great location, friendly owner, room was tiday and spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The spa was also really great as well. We appreciated the heads up that it was re o week and the students might be noisy. We couldn't hear anything though and we had a great stay. Will stay here again!

It was a bit noisy from the rooms above us e.g. people walking on the steps, but it wasn't that big of a deal compared to how much we enjoyed our stay

Excellent location near University of Otago and walking distance into Octagon and train station. Glad to have a parking space available that was level and beside our room. Staff friendly and helpful. Ther receptionist even had a list of restaurants/takeaways organised by areas in Dunedin.

There is a steep driveway but not surprising since this is Dunedin. At least we had off street parking.

The location right in the heart of the city was great, and it was a short walk to most of the things we wanted to see and do. Beds were comfy and the shower had good water pressure. They provided earplugs in case there was noise from students or the bar across the road, but we didn't need them.

The driveway was very steep, and roadworks nearby made access a bit tricky. This is likely to be resolved shortly though I'm sure.

Clean room, super soft comfy bed - best nights sleep I've had in ages. Great long complimentary ear plugs to block out students noise as this motel is in the beating heart of the city. Great spa bath with super hot water. Great location on main high street with heaps of bars and shops around the area, great hosts nice personal touch with text to see when we were arriving and well kept motel inside and out. Well done to you and all your staff!!

Blind needed on bathroom window, so bathroom door could be left open at night, to warm the bathroom up, which was a bit nippy in the midnight hours. No other concerns.

Robyn was kindness itself, she stayed on the phone, talking us in through the road works, which made the entrance to.the motel quite a challenge. Robin also gave us some useful ideas for places of interest to visit, and provided us with maps. The location of Alexis Motor Lodge is perfect for Dunedin..many places of interest are walkable from there, including the Botanical Gardens, which are well worth a visit.
