Eco Hotel Plantage Rococo

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most friendly and welcoming staff I've ever encountered. Their warm smiles and genuine hospitality made me feel right at home, creating a fantastic first impression that lasted throughout my stay. The hotel's connection with nature is truly remarkable. Nestled amidst stunning landscapes and surrounded by lush greenery, it provides an idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Waking up to the soothing sounds of birds chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves was a refreshing change that rejuvenated my senses. The accessibility to nearby points of interest made my stay not only enjoyable but also incredibly convenient. Beautiful building and decoration was gorgeous. All natural products provided for bathroom you can buy at reception. The fact you get robe and slippers in a hostel was great. We got this is a last minute deal whilst waiting to get a ferry the next day. so £100 cheaper than it should have been. Not sure I'd pay the full asking price. We didn't eat at the hotel as I thought the menu looked pricey and we were travelling with children so went to a fab Italian in zandfort. You also have a mini bar in the room and an honesty bar in the lounge. Prices for drinks were very fair but again I never had any.

No coffee in the rooms just herbal teas.

One night in this beautiful 18th century rococo mansion on our way to Alkmaar. In original condition and not spoilt by over-renovating. Our 2 b/r family room was fantastic. A shame we couldn't stay longer as we didn't get to have dinner here. The dining room is gorgeous. We did enjoy a beautifully crafted gin & tonic later in the evening in the dimly lit ornate sitting room which was a very pleasant experience. Love to come back.

Location amongst the meadow was unexpectedly beautiful with lounges to enjoy the evening sun. We were particularly grateful for management flexibility in preparing a dish from lunch menu for our dinner (tired travellers needed some familiar comfort food). The decor is so stylish and interesting. The beds were super comfortable and the deep bath with view of the the garden was a real treat with luxury soaps on hand.

Free early access to shared facilities to enjoy the garden and get a drink to have on the lounges before checking in would extend the experience without impacting other guests or room cleaning schedules etc. Would enable guests to soak up the beautiful ambiance as much as possible. Was offered option of paying for early check-in to bedroom for 25Euro.

Nice formerAmsterdam mayor's house in woods, next extensive park.Nice waking up with bird songs. Designers pieces of furniture and brautiful art boks all over the hotel. Free parking, good wifi. Well positioned place to explore Harlem and North Holland.

Noise from the busy road, but using ear plugs it is ok. Too soft and very much used matrases in room nr.8.

Great atmosphere. Wonderful garden en seats/hide aways. Styling and retro look very nice. The suite had a nice Jacuzzi and the old record player and a Edith Piaf record really created a unique atmosphere.

I think that the suite was about 100 euro overpriced. Definitely worth 300€ but not €405. It's not important but in the description a bottle of bubbles at arrival was promised but has never come. Charging 10€ extra on the 25€ pp breakfast price for carrying the breakfast tray up one stairs seems a bit silly. So, hotel is very nice and certainly a great treat. If prices would be a bit more in sync with quality, we would come a few times each year. A great hide away.

A grand old lady of a house, wearing her age with charm and grace (no botox and fillers here, she’s creaky and squeaky, as the note in the bedroom warns.) Attic like the hold of a fine old ship. Full of interesting and quirky touches, and lots of lovely quiet corners in which to relax, indoors or outside in the glorious wooded grounds. Delightful, efficient and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Careful attention paid to environmental sustainability.

Beautiful house in lovely grounds. Very peaceful in spite of being not far from a road. Quirkily and beautifully restored 17th century,large house. Large comfortable bed, and excellent shower. The whole building has been restored and fitted with sustainability in mind, but without any loss of comfort or luxury.

It feels rural and like you are placed back in time and when the pace of life was slow. Very relaxing

There was no Airconditioning in the room and no staff to check us in when we arrived. (we arrived late) They did not leave any info about which room we had and where the key was. We were lucky the breakfast lady was there. Also no elevator, so not suitable for people who can’t bring heavy suitcases to their room.

Fabulous country estate just outside Amsterdam. The room, huge bath, old mansion, breakfast, restaurant, art books, walks were all excellent. Highly recommended.

Noise of kids banging around in the family rooms upstairs, comes with the territory of the old house. Expensive taxi rides for short distances, no train.
