B&B Molenstreek

This is one of the nicest places I have ever been to! It's just at the edge of Groningen in an incredibly green and quiet neighborhood. Importantly, the room is big, well equipped (open kitchen with a coffee machine, an electric kettle, a cooker, plates, pots, glasses, mugs etc.; a set of towels, additional pillows, blankets etc. - all very clean and nice), a small terrace with a view into a "great green open", amazing place to relax with a glass of wine (or coffee, depending on preferences). Extremely friendly Owners. Free bikes available to guests. Parking places just in front of the building.

The closest bus stop or a bigger shop is quite a walking distance away - it is NOT a problem (especially if you are by car or take a bike) and NOT something the Owners can change ;-) Just something to bear in mind, when picking this place. This is a nice, quiet area a bit out of town.

We had a delightful time at B&B Molenstreek. The apartment is calm and comfortable with all the amenities you could wish for. Our host was friendly and solicitous. The provided bikes were a great bonus to our stay - Groningen is extremely bike-friendly and there is a lovely cycle path to Winsum near the B&B. We got the breakfast option based on other comments here and were very glad to have done so. It was an excellent start to our days. Everything was fresh and delicious.

The property was in a very quiet area with views over farmland from the patio. Everything had been carefully planned to make this a very comfortable stay. Jeroen was helpful, sharing information about the area and responding very quickly to any request. The breakfast was exceptional with eggs from the hens we saw wandering in the garden and honey from a local producer. It is possible to walk into Groningen, if you are fit, or bikes are free to use. Parking is directly in front of the property.

This is truly one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The room and small terrace were the perfect place to spend a sunny evening, with the hens making for restful company. Jeroen could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, including local honey and an egg from the hens. The small kitchen area was a lovely additional bonus. I can't recommend this B&B more highly.

The only negative was that I was only here for one night - I wish I could have stayed for a week.

Clean, large room with outdoor area. The hosts were helpful and bring you a delicious breakfast each morning. There's free bike hire to make getting to Groningen easy, or there are two bus stops nearby.

If I had to find something, it was a little difficult to get to the property via public transport. About 25 minutes bus and 10 minutes walk from Groningen station. It would not be an issue by car.

The rooms were so comfortable and had every detail we needed for our stay. The rooms were very clean. The location was perfect for going into the city and also for traveling around the area. The location is so peaceful! The hosts were so gracious and accommodating and the fresh breakfast was the highlight of our trip!

Cosy location outside the city. The host, Jeroen, was helpful, sharing information about the area and responding very quickly to any request. Parking is directly in front of the property. Bike available to go to city. Room has Nespresso capsules. We had a very nice view of a beautiful lawn with a great sunset.

Just minor issues: Luggage racks were missing and a washing machine would be helpful. Bathroom could have more hangers for towels

The host are friendly, nice and helpful! The mini studio was comfy, cozy and modern. The kitchenette was well stocked w everything you might need. Beds are comfy w pillow options. The private terrace is spacious and provided w a small lounge set. The curtains are blackout curtains, which is great. In the morning the view of the landscape is beautiful and relaxing. We sat for a few hours and saw various animals :) But in the evening the sunset is gorgeous as well. The stay here is great to unwind and relax. You get bikes to borrow and go explore they city or the village nearby. Across the bed and breakfast there is a flour mill, worth the visit, they have a free tour and a mini shop. The thing I liked most was the farm to table warm breakfast brought to you every morning in a basket. So artisan and cute and very delicious. They serve local produce and their own chicken eggs. The fresh orange juice is the best Ive had! Stay here, you will not regret :)

Incredibly comfortable and cosy room with a fantastic view. Bike hire was useful, but the Dutch bikes with only back brakes took a bit of getting used to!! Owner recommended a fabulous place to ride to in the city - The Forum - which was well worth the visit, brilliant views.

Loved the property. It was clean and well equipped. So nice being in the country but still close to town. Parking our car was easy at the property. The hosts were great and informative. Told us where to park and what to see in Groningen.
