Landgoed Hotel & Restaurant Carelshaven

Staff could be friendlier and more considerate. When we arrived one of us was assigned a tiny room for an "out of proportion price". We had to asked for a suitable room which we got for an extra payment of merely 10 euro/night!?! We planned to have dinner on our arrival in the restaurant on Sunday but they called us later on to tell us that the restaurant will be closed. We were looking forward to it and had to go out to find another place for dinner.

Very nice hotel. Very good personnel. Nice atmosphere inside and outside the hote. Good breakfast in nice dining room.

It will be general remarks to all hotels in Netherland I was during those week. I would prefer to eat for breakfast normal and not powder eggs and in this kind of very good hotel I was thinking it will be but it wasnt.

There was not enough staff at the desk which means that I had to wait for every request. Good idea NOT to bring guests to their room: unnecessary and saves staff time. A pity that there was no aircon. Too few and difficult to reach outlets: downside of an old building. Outlets necessary for charging the many devices one now has.

AIrcon, more outlets, more staff (yes, and I now that that is really difficult nowadays).

The staff were very pleasant and polite and spoke excellent English. The evening meal was very good and definitely haute cuisine. A group of 8 in the dining room had a mixture of meals and they also enjoyed their food.

There could have been a few more coffee pods for the coffee machine.

Excellent restaurant on site. Parking is free and the breakfast is very nice as well. The location is in the middel of the fields and there are walking trials available closeby. This was my second stay in this hotel and I enjoyed it again.

The hotel is somewhat older and some rooms could do with a little upgrade.

Everything was on the highest level, excellent breakfast, free parking spot. The mansion surrounded by green area where you can take a really nice walk or ride a bike.

The staircase is pretty steep so you need an extra skill to climb up.

The heating system was turning on and off at night - which is not 100% comfortable. The room was facing the road so one could hear the noise a bit

Excellent hotel with award winning restaurant. The room was very spacious (double for single use). Large modern bathroom with a shower. Stair case is leading to the first floor. The have a nice small bar with a large whiskey selection. The food was fantastic and the staff highly competent. They also have meeting rooms for small and somewhat larger groups.

The road in front of the hotel is a little noisy, so for a quiet night ask for a room at the backside.

I love the location and hotel itself. It still has the grandeur from long time ago, with a modern refreshed interior. Room was romantic and complete with all you need. Breakfast was almost complete (missing the "Suikerbrood"), just kidding.

The hotel was in walking distance from Landgoed Twickel which is a wonderful place for long walks through nature!

Our room was on the front, so near the highway which was very noisy! The stairs are dangerous and there is no elevator
