Quirky room that was quiet and with a very comfortable bed.

I rang the doorbell and nobody came. After trying to find another entrance I ended up at the same door and eventually someone came. The receptionist was very patronising, saying she'd write my parking place number down for me (6) because it was complicated! I received 17 emails about my booking in 4 days, many trying to up-sell stuff I didn't want. There was a mini bar and coffee maker in the room (no cups) but no price list. This is unsettling. Finally, there was some dusty food beside the bed that had been there a long time.

I liked the interesting building and the very tasteful and cool interior decoration.

Half of the parking does apparently belong to the neighbour, with no possibility for the guests parking…I had to remove my car, but the young man at the reception has very helpful to walk me (under the rain !) to the outside parking - which is indeed not far… The breakfast is ok, but very boring: I would however have liked non industrial bread…and maybe some local speciality?

Hotel design as it used to be a prison. It's located in the centre of Almelo, so the location was great.

Having a toilet in the same room without having doors to separate it. There was not much choice at breakfast (especially vegetables and hot meals), and the buffet was only on certain days. On some days, you were asked to choose sandwiches from the list, which then happened to be not available or not prepared on time.

The room was very large. The shower was very interesting, with two types of jets. There was a washroom separate from the shower, which was convenient. Close to restaurants on Grotestrate.

The Wi-Fi wasn't working in the room, so I had to use the Internet on my cellphone. The staff were friendly, but somewhat distant. Some noise from passersby outside.

Superb staff and a wonderfully interesting property with many original features and character retained. I stayed in a building next door which had a boutique feel and was nicely finished.

The hotel had only one iron and that broke the day before we arrived. The kitchen had no facility to toast the fresh bread provided which was a little odd, but accepted.

Jordy was fantastic!!! he was so helpfull and his customer service was amazing!! he also made one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted in the morning for breakfast, thanks Jordy 👍🏻 Esmee was also great and her customer service was also fantastic!!! thank-you Esmee.

Guy on reception was very friendly Good prices

Room was very dark, we didn’t have cold water in the tap,no proper light in bathroom as well,was impossible to see anything there. Room is very hot, couldn’t open windows properly,but at least we had fan in the room.

Jordy was great again (second time we stayed) very helpful and is a very nice chap, the lady who works there was also very nice and very helpfull we will definitely be staying with you again next time we visit Almelo. thanks again.

The room was nice and the location of the hotel was perfect for the visit. The bed was very comfortable. The history of the hotel is amazing

The room was located next to the reception. Unfortunately, the light from the reception was shining into the room. There was a small curtain to help, this was not sufficient enough to block the light.

The Hotel is located in a beautiful, historical monument in the style of the Amsterdamse School from around 1920. Very helpful and kind personnel. A silent surrounding in the historical heart of Almelo with it's 17th century protestant church and Het Kolkje, the 5 km long Gravenallee with Huize Van Rechteren Limpurch Stierum, etc. Very good breakfast.
