You cannot find a better location in Thamel. The service is just soooo lovely. They will help you with any needs! You really get more than what you are hoping at Madhuban GH. Will make this my hotel in Thamel for all my future visits.

Clean and good size room, the staffs are all so helpful and kind, very pleasant personality. Good hot shower even on rainy day. As I kept the window open at night so it's slightly noisy but I use the earplugs and slept like a baby.

Location : Ten out of Ten (Thamel - heart of Kathmandu), only 15/20 minutes drive from the International Airport, you can get amazing different kinds of restaurants with just walking distance which serve you food & beverage from around the world, plenty options of Pubs & Night-clubs all over the place if you are there to enjoy night-life. Other thing I loved most is size of the rooms, I would rate 11 for this if there would be an option. Roof-top terrace is extra add, you can enjoy your coffee, meals or enjoy reading while having view of the city, and it's peaceful? It will be unfair if I don't talk about the employee's "Happy to serve you" attitude all time & their politeness. The Manager - Mr Kedar has magic to make you feel that you are at "Home away from your Home" within few minutes, we become very good friends during my short stay, of course he has experience of working several years with well-known international hospitality company. I could write a long wonderful story about my short stay, but I would like to keep something for next stay😊 To summerise, all this outstanding experience with the price I paid for was above & beyond my expectation. Can’t recommend staying here enough. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Thamel and a great base for anywhere you want to visit in the city. The staff are all lovely and have made us feel so at home and very well taken care of the whole time. They also have security on the gate all the time so have felt totally safe. The room is great, very comfortable, big, warm and has a lovely view of the city. There’s reliable hot water and great water pressure. The breakfast provided is tasty and healthy. Would without a doubt stay here any time I visit Kathmandu in the future.

usually stay at this hotel when I come to Kathmandu. More than expected services and facilities are available here at low prices. There is enough hot water for shower and good internet facility on every floor. This place is also very convenient for the location. I especially like the friendly and helpful behavior of the staff here.

The manager by the name of Kedar,sets a very high customer service standard..Others told me its because previously he was a manager in customer service for Qatar airlines. The local vendors tend to double or triple the price for foreigners.I had issues buying a bicycle at the correct price.Kedar offerered to help.He rang some private sellers and before you knew it, I had a bike .I was also allowed to lock the bike inside the hotel during the night..With any other issues, Kedar was quick in offering a hand..From my own experience, whilst travelling around the world continuously during the last 7 years, a high customer service standard , is difficult to experience these days. Theres also 24 hr security and the day time security officer is quite intuitive.The property is clean. Theres also an independant restaurant at the rear of the hotel .Its quite good to hang out in.

My only suggestion is that they could put a suggestion box in the lobby.Their hotel road sign isnt so visible in the night time. During rainy season, its difficult to dry ones clothes , esp. if guests does not have a balcony room.A clothes dryer would be good to have available.Token dryer.I think guests should be reminded about the effects of noise pollution..

Very good small guest house , clean and calm, close to Thamel

Our stay at Hotel Madhuban Guest House was very good. It felt like home. The owner and the staff were very good. The owner booked a cab for our entire tour in Nepal at a very reasonable price. He was available all through our stay in Nepal.

reception staff had a really good vibe and attitude. very big and clean room, with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and a quiet resident area.

Kathmandu Madhuban is located in the perfect place: NOT in the centre of noisy, over touristed Thamel... and yet close enough (5 minutes walk) to go to any of Thamel's restaurants, etc should the desire strike. Also an easy walk to Asan and the older sections of downtown Kathmandu, to Durbar Square... and a short walk to Swayambhunath. And on the top floor (where my room was) there is a large terrace where one can work/sit/eat/whatever, and from the window of the room, on a clear day, one can see the snow-peaked Himalayas! What more could one want in a Kathmandu hotel?
