Majaro Hotel Tulum

The hotel is great! We really enjoyed hanging by the pool/bar at the end of the day with some killer drinks. The room was nice with a verrrrry comfortable bed and good air conditioning + ceiling fan. Federico and Arturo were great! They were ready, willing and able to help with any questions you may have. Arturo had a day off and we invited him to join us to go to a cenote and the Mayan Ruins, it was great having a Mexican/local join us and help with any language barrier that came up. He was a lot of fun to hangout with and just a very nice person. We had a blast! The bartender made us some killer Mezcal with passion fruit drinks...make sure you ask for it! The cleaning ladies were very friendly and always with a smile on their faces. The rooftop areas are awesome for sunrise/sunset and you will hear a symphony of birdsongs. The shower was awesome with the rainshower style with great water pressure. It was Arturo and Federico that really made our experience at Majaro so special, whatever they are being paid...it's NOT ENOUGH! They are the heartbeat of this property and I can't say enough about their service and hospitality. Thanks guys, we hope to see you again soon!

Our room could definetly use better storage for clothes etc. The construction is a bit obnoxious, but that's the price of growth. The road is crazy so be very careful if you're in a rental car and hit the big holes at an angle. Watch for the BIG rocks and don't drive over them in the middle of your tires, go around or potentially destroy the gas tank or something else. Be careful pulling out onto the main road and stay to the far right to pull out, there is quite a dropoff/ledge in the middle. DO NOT DRIVE TO PUNTA ALLEN unless you have a big jeep/SUV with some clearance. It's a nightmare and takes 2.5 hours ninimum in a car. It's like the hotel road the entire way. Leave very early if you do.

Beautiful rooms that smelled amazing and were so clean! We had the junior suite with outside plunge pool which was so nice! Sammi makes the best cocktails!

They need to get an iron. And a filtered water dispenser so you don’t have to use loads of plastic bottles. If the cocktails and food were cheaper we would have ate and drank alot more.

Absolutely stunning hotel, such tulum vibes, absolutely spotless can't thank the hotel enough for a lovely birthday! Staff are amazing! The most comfiest best ever!

Only thing was distance to the beach and having to get overpriced taxis but that wasn't the hotels fault

Quiet and serene, great staff that was always available to answer questions, breakfast was excellent and a good value, pool area was extremely nice. Deluxe 1 bedroom was very large with high end finishes in all rooms. No problems with hot water and AC.

1 bedroom deluxe which is a very large one bedroom with a beautiful kitchen, but kitchen was not equipped to have any type of food. No dishes, 2 glasses/cups, no knife to cut fruit etc. small mini fridge.

So amazing! Rooms are incredible! Comfortable beautiful and quiet!! we had wonderful restful sleep every night. the plunge pool is gorgeous and the outdoor shower is absolutely beautiful! The staff is incredibly helpful and thoughtful. Any questions or needs we had were attended to so quickly the staff are all lighthearted and kind! It was truly a treat to stay here! 1000% recommend

More like some things to note then complaints! the property is in a developing area so you have to walk 10 min to get to any restaurants or shops. They rent bikes/atvs or will happily call you a cab! secondly there was a particularly loud guest hanging out at main pool for some of our stay. The plunge pool rooms are on the ground floor so it can be a little noisy but only when hanging outside on the patio! Truly just things to be aware of 10 out of 10!!!!! so fantastic!!!

the. way part about this property is the staff member particularly Fede. Fede is incredibly hard working and dedicated member of the team, he is always on hand around the clock to help guests. He was so kind and helpful to me and very conscientious, he always made sure I had the best information. Fede is an asset to hotel Majaro, I would be very happy to have employees like him 😊

the location is terrible. it is not near the sea or the town and the roads to the hotel are actually dirt tracks. There are no places to eat or drink close

The hotel has a beautiful boho/chic feel about it & is just a 15 minute walk from Downtown. The room was spacious & ours included a plunge pool which was perfect to cool off in the hot days/nights. The concierge, Fede is always on hand to help with anything & everything, from taxis to food recommendations to helping our family in the UK organise a little anniversary surprise in our room! The hotel pool area is a great place to relax & chill out, the barman makes the best Pina colada's!

The AC system would always drip water, on one occasion the floor was covered in water & our shoes were soaked. There are no TV's in the room. The bed was very loud, the slightest movement & it would creak so loudly. It is also located about 15 minutes from the beach which is quite expensive when paying for Taxis.

Stayed at the Majaro for a few days at the start of my trip to Tulum. Was a great find as a small boutique hotel. Located in an up-coming area, it's convenient as a walk into town away from the main hub so peaceful. Room was massive, with a juliet balcony, bathroom was great with an outdoor shower and plunge pool - felt very private, not overlooked. We didn't use the pool / bar area much but the breakfast menu looked good and the drink on arrival was tasty. The main benefit to staying here was Fede, the on-site manager, for keeping in touch the trip (we had delayed travel due to flight operator). He was able to arrange, facilitate and advise what and where to go in the local area. It was a great service which I don't ususally find as much.

Amazing, clean room. Room size was wonderful. Great bang for buck. House keeping was great.

Check in process was not great, check in was at 3pm but we checked in at 4pm, room was still not ready. The water in shower was not hot and we needed to contact maintenance to fix issue. Did take a few hours to fix but once fixed water pressure and temperature was great. Plunge pool was too cold and dirty to be used but looked very pretty.

The suites, the pool and rooftop areas are gorgeous! The beds are huge and very comfortable. Our room came with a private dipping pool, and an nice outdoor shower. The whole place was very clean. The reception staff were friendly and super helpful. They helped us book tours, called us cabs and gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit. We were able to ask questions and get help from staff easily via "What'sApp" (highly recommend downloading it to use while on vacation as many cab drivers also use it). The staff arranged the pick up from and drop off to the airport for us and kept track of our flight, so they were already aware when our flight was delayed. Food was fresh and delicious. Excellent coffee too. They were very accommodating to meet all of our needs.

The location is still up and coming so there is a lot of construction and bumpy roads surrounding the hotel. It's a little further from town than I would have liked but getting cabs was easy thanks to the hotel staff. Once the development around the hotel is complete I imagine its going to be a lot easier to walk or bike around to town.
