Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive

We traveled as a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 children. ages 6, 3 and 1. We stayed in the governors 2 bedroom suite which was wonderful for family! 3 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms and 1 living room. 3 balconies. It was great! The kids club was great and is available to play and do crafts from 10 am to 1 pm and then they do pool activities in the afternoon. The breakfast was fabulous but lunch and dinner seemed lacking. We are vegetarian though so we did not have as many options as we would have wished to have but we understand not all places are as prepared. The staff did a great job going over and beyond to ensure we had things to eat though. They would even do some meals especially for us so we were grateful for their wonderful service. The beach area still is available but no services offered. When they get the area opened up again it will be a remarkable place again but we loved the resort even without the beach services. It appears as though the government is controlling who can use their beach areas and who cannot so we are not sure when it will be available again. We did bring our own snorkel equipment and the water outside the resort was splendid! Lots of fish to see and very clear water. The pool was a lot of fun and never crowded. Music was great. My wife got a massage at the spa and loved it. Service was overall very good.

We would love to see more vegetarian options on the menus and buffet. The pool does need remodel. The tiles are missing in spots and the pool needs to be cleaned more often. Not sure if there is a filter system for the water as it can develop a film on the surface in the corners when windy. Pool needed heated a little more during the winter months. The beach area will be great when it is available again. They do ask you to hear about the time share opportunities during your stay but we did not do it as we had our hands full with our children and activities we had already planned.

Beautiful property, excellent location. The presidential suite was massive. Everyone was so nice.

The beachside pool area and all facilities on that side are closed but it doesn’t say that anywhere on their website or on Booking. It seems intentionally misleading.

I will focus my review on features other than service, since service is, yes, absolutely top notch at Fiesta Americana Cozumel “FA” as everyone else raves about. Food: This, for me, was my top concern when picking the all-inclusive and after reading reviews from other properties including Iberostar, Occidental, Melia, Grand Park, etc. and considering Pandemic regulations that have lowered food quality in many all-inclusives, we finally decided on FA. I’m so glad we did! The food was really good!! We made reservations first thing in the morning. You can only make a reservation the day of the meal. Most people ate after 7pm. We were eating at 6:15pm and were the only ones in the restaurant, so superb attention. Our first meal was at the Italian restaurant with “fresh” baked bread (and at breakfast fresh bread too since they bake it “in house”). Bigger than I thought portions. Beautifully presented and SUPER tasty. The tortilla soup at the Mexican restaurant was awesome! Breakfast had a variety of delicious fruits, granola; seeds and yogurts; green drinks; eggs, bacon, etc, The cappuccino from the coffee shop “Coffee Corner” was better than the one from the restaurant so we would grab that first before heading to breakfast. Great coffee, btw. Fish tacos for lunch were great. They make them w grilled fish or fried...the fried fish taco is a little tastier but not as healthy. Mahi Mahi with garlic lemon sauce at the restaurant by the ocean (lunch) was also truly delicious. Peninsula (asian) chicken sutay appetizer was delicious! Water (regular or sparkling) with squeezed fresh lime was so refreshing and delicious! This was our favorite during the day to refresh. They provide complimentary fins rental for snorkling but you need to bring your own mask and snorkel because they have done away from lending these during the pandemic. We had brought ours. The kayaks are also only for Explorean Hotel guests unless you pay an extra fee.

I loved everything. My husband thought that there was not enough “service” by the palapa, so one or two times he went to get waters.

The staff went over and above from the moment we stepped on the property. Concierge Brenda and Pamela answered all of our questions. We were a family of the 19 they set up our free covid test at the resort, excursions reservations for meals always helpful and smiling. They offered the resort tours but were never pushy. When we checked in Gustin took great care of us and made sure all our swim out rooms were together. The servers were excellent. Rooms clean. Great food. Everyone loved it. Location for snorkeling was amazing. Big shout out for Edgar and Adrian our snorkeling tour guides. Poolside servers and bar tenders Juan, Osvaldo, Diego, Aaron, to name a few. The coffee bar was fast and good and always stocked with fresh treats. Sushi bar was amazing. The food and service was better than Cancun Beach Palace.

We rented jeeps from the stand out front instead of the resort excursion staff. They were not in good condition. Would recommend Using a driver to go around the island it's less stressful and probably pencils out to be about the same.

The staff is incredible. Samuel, George, and Henry are the best! Visit them at the bar!

Ocean front is still not open, going on 2 years, yet photos still show open, many upset people who have not been to this FA did not know this. We were aware, we still used the ocean front, but it would be nice to have restrooms and service. Also did not like babies with diapers on in the pool.

Stayed at Fiesta in 2018 and this time around equally as great. Despite the Beach Club not being available, we had an amazing time. We could still use the beach area but there was no service nor eating breakfast by the beach. We did miss that aspect BUT although it was closed from service the staff did an amazing job to make up for this. This was like a second home for us. Here is a shoutout to all the staff members that made the experience great. Arturo - so attentive! arranged fresh coconuts, special meals, preferred seating, et al Aaron - constantly on the move around the pool and quickly by your side to serve awesome beverages Manuel - flambéed bananas at the mexican restaurant one evening. amazing. he even arranged to get us some churros for dessert. Manuel - our breakfast guy. he remembered us from our last visit in 2018 and was asking about my parents. wow! Miguel, Luis, Gabriel - more awesome waiters assisting at breakfast and lunch Hector, Henry, Juan - all the bar crew. amazing drinks. and they do use top shelf alcohol. you need only ask for your favourite Miguel, Gabriel - waiters in the Asian restaurant. wonderful service Isabel(s) - our baristas in the coffee shop. try the caramel ice coffee. yum Jose Philippe - Executive chef. The carnitas were outstanding. Limber - garlic shrimps to die for The ladies working the omelette and quesadilla stands at breakfast. Freshly made tortillas and made to order omelettes or eggs. So many people to mention, I am sure I have forgotten a few. But if you want excellent food and amazing service, this is the place to be. We did stay at another hotel on Cozumel for 5 nights to check out the North side of the island. We were so happy to get back to Fiesta for the final leg of our holiday. Thanks to Jorge Duran, the GM. This is not so much a did not like but rather a clarification to those that complained in their reviews about being charged an extra environmental fee. Jorge explained that the booking system at their reception does not include the environmental fee which is included in the booking.com booking. Therefore, on checkin, you are charged the booking.com rate minus the environmental fee. They then process the environmental fee separately.

Exceptional staff: always super friendly, smiling and helpful. Great food (even for vegans), I really enjoyed super fresh and delicious fruits every morning: mangos, pineapples, melons and papayas. Wonderful snorkelling just in front of the hotel.

Ocean closed, pool feels dirty!!!!

Food was great, the staff were friendly but do not go out of their way like at other resorts. the pool is tropical and beautiful and the rooms are clean, comfortable and relaxing.

The clientele is less than mannered. the number of unaccompanied children out numbered the adults. The beach restaurant, bar and services were closed. why? Hector the bartender was very rude.
