When I booked the Hacienda Boutique I thought those photos were too beautiful to be true. In reality the place shines even more. Above all, Patricia and her husband Cesar made me feel like a loved member of their family. They took care of everything for me. Transport, scooter (even returned it for me, so I had zero hassle with it whatsoever), scuba diving, restaurants, you name it. They just went above and beyond! The chefs who prepared my breakfast (many choices) were equally caring people, who never missed a beat to make sure I had everything I could desire. What else is awesome there? The pool with outdoor kitchen makes no sense for a hotel with just a couple of rooms. I had it for myself most of the time, which made me feel just grateful. Even the cat made me feel good, lying down next to me purring. And of course the other guests. I met wonderful people who I got to spend time with and adventure the island. Why is this possible? Because when Patricia's children got married and moved out, she and her husband decided to turn their home into a boutique hotel. They spent two decades caring for their property and are now giving travellers a chance to benefit from the space and the relationships they so thoughtfully built over time. I had the best time with everyone they recommended to me. This place is perfect as a home base from which you can discover some of the most beautiful beaches and dive sites in the world. Enjoy ;)

The breakfast was out standing. The staff was prompt with assistance and the food was delicious. It was so peaceful to sit in the garden and eat your breakfast and drink coffee in the mornings. The garden is unbelievably beautiful. We saw and mingled with the other guests at breakfast or at times we were the only ones in the garden. The staff was very attentive. The location was excellent for us as it was near grocery, taxi stand and within walking distance to several restaurants. The hacienda exceeded our expectations. We read all reviews prior to booking and they were very accurate. The hacienda is beautiful, amazingly decorated and well appointed with everything you would need for your stay. The hosts were so gracious and appreciative of our visit. My husband had a massage while there and raved about how wonderful it was. There was ample parking for your mode of transportation. Maria, the house cat was such a cutie. We would highly recommend a stay here.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like.

what wasn’t to like?! everything was perfect and made for literally the most relaxing work-cation. everyone was so kind, the breakfast was lovely, the room was wonderful—comfy bed and nice bathroom. It’s about a 35 minute walk from the main drag, but the island is so safe to walk. cabs are easy to find too! The pool area is refreshing. Truly, one of my biggest pluses is the drinking water and ice that is included in the stay! As a frequent traveler, that’s an absolute luxury that cannot not be highlighted. Hands down, the most pleasant stay I’ve had in a long time!

It is so peaceful! Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. The room and bed were very comfortable. The pool and outdoor area is like an oasis! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here next time.

The only things that could have made it any better would be if there were a refrigerator and a water kettle in the room for coffee. Other than that everything was perfect

EVERYTHING! How could you not!? The decor, the quiet location, the safe & secure walled gardens and property…it was all perfect. Each room appears to be decorated individually and beautifully! I particularly loved my bathroom; the tiles were such a joy each morning. The orientation of the property and it’s facilities led by Jessie on arrival was 10/10. I knew EVERYTHING from her and had no questions. For a solo female traveller this was FANTASTIC. The garden/pool area is an OASIS; so relaxing and beautiful. The shower was fantastic and there was ALWAYS HOT water. And mustn’t forget Maria the friendly resident cat - what a cutie. I’m so happy I stayed there, thank you SO MUCH!

There is nothing not to like.

Everything! Especially the staff they were extremely helpful and friendly, the massage on site was impeccable and the cat Maria was the friendliest one I've ever met! Hot tub was lush and the pool area was always clean despite all the constant debris falling from the trees they kept it so beautiful and welcoming! The rooms were homely and couldnt be more comfortable! The clean included all of our clothes being folded and tidied and popped in piles on our bed which I've never know such service! It was faultless here! Close to everything, all the information you could ask on tap and translated if needs be, including a shop and taxi rank next door with great prices! I wish we stayed here one more night instead of paying 5 times the amount for a fraction of the service!!

Leaving

It was such a calm place. Very peaceful. Classical music throughout the day. A little cat (her name is Maria) roams around. Sit by the pool with a book and relax. Great breakfast, awesome and attentive staff, very clean, very accommodating. Going back, for sure.

It was a bit further than most rental spaces but I had rented a bike so it wasn't all that bad; just a tad outside the centro. It was about an 8 minute bikeride. I had a room right off the pool, which was very cool, but I shared the washroom and shower with the pool goers. Sometimes it would get very wet in there. Altogether though, this would not be a factor in me deciding to go back. I would absolutely.

Really nice and funny way of renovated old building, so colorful and full of everything. Really good library, breakfast is great if you like eggs a lot (there is a menu of 7 different dishes, all with eggs). everything is really clean, also the pool is daily cleaned with cristal clear water, the kitchen is with everything you need, fridge with freezer, purified water. Daily room keeping, balcony and big room. Really perfect!

Water pressure is disaster, you can't even wash your hair, you need to pour water from the tap below, to get enough water because thru shower head there is water dripping. Breakfast is from 8-11 so If you dive you have to make your own breakfast. There are "opening hours" for the pool for what I really don't know why. On Booking is stated private parking, but there is no parking at all, you leave your car on a shady street (by shady I mean every house there has huge walls with electric wires around including this casa, so that gives you the filling of insecure inhabitants)

The place is unique with very unusual, colourful decor. Rooms are big, swimming pool and jacuzzi enjoyable. There is common kitchen next to the swimming pool avalaible for all the guests (free water) and fridges in spacious rooms. I loved that there was hair conditioner in the bathroom. The staff are very nice, the brakfasts tasty (fruits + eggs to choose from 5 or 6 options, tea/cofee). Next to the B&B there was a taxi stop and a big supermarket. It's also easy to catch a colectivo from av. 65.

Jacuzzi on some occasions doesn't warm up properly. B&B is a bit far from the touristic area, so you need a taxi (shouldn't pay more than 50 pesos from the port) or a colectivo (10 pesos per person) to get there. The staff wasn't very well informed on the colectivos, so it's a good idea to double check information. The check-in was not very smooth. The room wasn't ready and instead of letting us wait next to the pool, they kept us at the reception desk for 20 minutes (then they let us use the swimming pool). But on the whole it was a good and pleasant stay.

The Hacienda was a little oasis set in residential Cozumel. It was beautifully designed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Patricia and the rest of the team went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We also booked a tour with Patricia's help which turned out to be our highlight during our five days on the island. Although it is out of the centre it has a supermarket next door which has a taxi rank, so getting around is still easy. We appreciated the cooking facilities in the outdoor kitchen and Maria the cat was a delight.

If we were being very picky we perhaps would have liked a fridge in the room, but the shared fridge in the communal area outside did work well. Breakfast was good but if you don't like eggs then there's not much of an alternative. Everything else was great.
