Fiesta Inn Cancun Las Americas

I'm a U.S. expat living in Playa del Carmen for 5 years. I was in Cancun for surgery and needed a hotel in close proximity to Hospital Amerimed and my doctor's office in Plaza Azuna. This was the perfect distance. As I was trying to preplan my stay, I had questions about parking, early check-in, and late check-out. I had numerous emails with the hotel floor manager, Carolina Estrada. I found her to be exceptionally helpful. Her replies were prompt and specific. I was very appreciative of her attention to detail. I kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door and hotel staff honored that request (I left a nice tip on because of that). One of the reasons I chose Fiesta Inn was because they had room service. I ordered food 3 times. Each time, it arrived very promptly, delivered by a friendly staff member, still warm (or cold in the case of the salads). The foods I ordered were the taquitos, enchiladas suiza, ceasar salad, citrus salad, and a cheeseburger. All of them were very tasty.

This is not a "hotel" issue per se, but a logistics issue. Finding the entrance to the hotel from the parking lot is very difficult. The parking lot is extremely large and maze-like. What if the Fiesta Inn had a special sign that was on the walls at the entrances and throughout the parking structure with arrows pointing in the direction of the entrances. Might help. That said, I also didn't realize that I could get dropped off outside Plaza Las Americas, at the Bonampak entrance by Liverpool, and enter the hotel there. That would also be helpful on the website. One last thing, the towels were a little bit old and not fluffy at all. Newer towels would be a nice touch.

I like it was next to a mall, i was able to check in way before check in time. I might was just lucky so dont think you can check in early. Very clean, smells nice in the elevator, check in and rooms. Loved the coffee and water bar next to the elevator on the 6th floor where my room was. Staff was nice and professional, very helpful, some spoke good english and if they only understood a little they made sure to ask their colleague. Helped with my luggage, gave me a tour of the building for the gym and pool. I asked and he was happy to show me around. I always get 2 keys and glad I did because, it controls the light in the room. They didnt mention it at check in but my concierge pointed it out when we got to the room. Hot tub was nice and warm with the Roof top view. It was beautiful. Big screen TV, bed nice and comfy. Pillows were okay, Im not a big pillow person so someone might say they were a little wore down. I didnt eat there so not sure of the quality of food. Stayed 1 night. Would i stay again, Yes but will request the top floor.

The rooms are not soundproof. I kept waking up from they guy in the next room snoring. Seems like he was waking everyone up because someone would thump the wall or hit the floor throughout out the night.

The location is unbeatable: it's right inside Plaza Las Americas, and just a 15 minute walk to the Malecon. The hotel was clean and the cleaning crew left my room shiny and spotless every day. The pool and the gym were fantastic. The water pressure was good and the temperature was perfect.

The room was old, showing some wear and tear. Also there was a day when the water was unavailable for a couple or hours. Other than that, I can't find any faults, really.

There room was huge , the Junior Suite!!! and the bed was fluffy and lush , I loved it. The TV was enormous with many channels. I was on a medical dental tourism trip and it was a three to five minute walk to my dentist so super Convenient!!!! Room service was amazing and QUICK !! the staff friendly and attentive and they took great care of me . I traveled alone so these things were very important

I couldn't really say bad things. If I could change one thing it would be the toiletries. The dispensers in the shower we're just soap not shampoo and conditioner.However it was a lovely lavander body wash. Maybe if the rooms had mini fridges to keep your waters but other then that I give Fiesta Inn an A++

I was by myself for this trip so I really enjoyed the location because the area is laid back but still popular at certain times because the hotel is in a mall. I wasn’t far from the areas that we’re popular for partying so I could catch a inexpensive to those areas and maybe the local bus back if I wanted. Easy to catch a cab but as far as busses, the local bus doesn’t take you to the hotel but close enough to either walk or catch a second van for a $1 to the hotel. it’s not as bad as it sounds, but that’s why taking a cab back would be a option if your unsure. The hotel is in the mall and that made it perfect for anything I needed when I first got there such as grocery shopping, restaurants, and shopping stores

24/7 reception was good to have. We stayed only one night and did not have a chance to try the pool but we checked it out and it looked nice. The room was clean and beds were okay.

The location was good but notice that the shops open at 11am, so if you want to go shopping, you cannot do it earlier than that. The sink was outside of the bathroom which was an interesting solution and bothered a little if one was sleeping and another wanted to wash their hands etc.

They always went above and beyond with any little random request we had. Helped us with our luggage on our last day while we did some last minute shopping. The moment you step out of the lobby, you're in the mall already. Starbucks is less than a minute walk from the lobby. Room service was delicious.

I know it's cause of covid regulations so it's not really a bad thing but didn't realize how inconvenient the ice machine being closed was going to be. Also, we had the Jr suite which was the bigger sized room but didn't come with a mini fridge or microwave. Maybe hotels in Mexico don't come standard with it?

Honestly for the price this place exceeded expectations because. it isn't one of the luxury resorts or all inclusive but it actually had pretty much everything. The pool was nice and the spa tub, the gym was well equipped (better than some posher hotels), the rooms were nice and had coffee facilities and you can just pop down to the Starbucks below as it's in a shopping centre. It's not really a resort place but it's great value and what you see is what you get + a bit more. Also had the best shower in Mexico lol most were too weak or too hot or too cold. This one was perfect.

The only bad thing is not getting a double bed and two singles but I guess that's just how it is sometimes, even though we did request.

Very comfy beds, very clean, central location in downtown, the shopping centre next door and a lot of eating options nearby

We didn't had the best view on the 2nd floor (room 210), looking at the back side of a supermarket

The staff was not helpful what so ever. We asked valet where do we park, not knowing it was in the mall garage. They did not even let us know how to get to the hotel, or that we could of unloaded the luggage right there. We had to drag our luggage all through the garage. Upon checking in the front desk gave me the wrong room. It was very late so when I spoke to the front desk the next day when checking out, all he could say was " oh the website is incorrect. " I stated then "ALL the websites are incorrect?" Speaking to the staff was just awful.
