We loved our stay here, the hotel feels little a little oasis as soon as you step in - the gardens and pool areas were lovely and it was so nice to be right on the lagoon. We appreciated the daily coffee and water. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated with a nice view over the lagoon. The staff were so kind and really went above and beyond to help us. We look forward to staying here again when we manage to return to Bacalar.

The only thing we would have liked was for the hotel to provide kayaks and maybe snorkeling gear. Anyway this wasn't a big problem, we rented kayaks nearby, but this would be a great addition to the hotel in future.

The staff exhibited a genuinely kind attitude, and the rooms were kept in a pristine condition. Notably, we had the opportunity to indulge in a private chef's dinner at the pier, a choice we eagerly made ( there was no extra charge). This dining experience was a highlight, featuring an exquisite meal crafted by a private chef.

On a less positive note, the pool was marred by an abundance of insects, which deterred us from taking a refreshing dip. Additionally, as the hotel is relatively new, some staff members were not fully versed in the menu and other services offered by the establishment. However, it's important to emphasize that these minor inconveniences did not significantly impact our overall enjoyment of the stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, both the rooms and the shared areas. It has a great terrace with a view of the lagoon which you can use for sunbathing during the day and dinner in the evening, there's a great bar as well and two small swimming pools. And of course the pontoon, which gives direct access to the lagoon and on which you can also have dinner in the evening if you book. The rooms are big enough with lots of storage and everything is new and clean. Location wise, it's a bit outside of the city but still close enough. Taxis are easy to get and they cost around 50MXN for one way. Special mention to the staff as well which is super friendly and helpful, they made this an amazing stay.

This is a brand new hotel so some things are still being figured out. It would be great to have a mini fridge in the room as it's hot outside and we would have loved to be able to keep our water cold. Also it would be great to have some more activities easy to book, like kayaking for sunrise, paddle etc. We ended up renting kayaks from the hotel next by. And as mentioned in some other reviews, the beds are quite small, but this wasn't a huge problem for us as they're very comfy.

We stayed in this hotel for my birthday and had a beautiful time. Especially the staff made our stay great as they helped my boyfriend to organize a surprise for me that was truly amazing. We had the best boat trip followed by an excellent meal on the private deck on the laguna - simply magical. All the staff were super kind and helpful. The room was spacious and also very nice, the shower as well. It was also real clean.

Like everything on the laguna, it feels slightly overpriced- although the nice staff makes it up for the hotel setup which is built to make the best of a very small space. We were ok with our partial laguna view room, but really would not have enjoyed paying so much money for a room at ground level. We were also Lucky that we were aloud to chill on the nice deck directly on the water during the day- the other space with sunbed feels a little bit less romantic and a bit more crowded.

We stayed in both the garden rooms and then the ocean view suite #12 (worth it). I loved everything about this place and felt it also provided good value, cabs into town were cheap and fast, less than 5 bucks each way and always the same price, amazing.... perfect for swimming with the waterfront location... blazing fast internet 70-200 mbps with a nice mesh network covering the entire property... I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend to anyone visiting Bacalar.. The chef Luis is a star, my girlfriend is vegetarian and he made special dishes for her on demand... The place is new so they are still getting their bearings but these are folks that really care and are lead by a really nice GM whom knows how to run a team, we absolutely loved our stay here will never forget it and hope to return sooner rather than later.

Nothing really, they have a policy not to bring your own food or alcohol which I understand, but they might want to revisit that in the future, my

We have stayed in many hotels around the world and this has become one of our favourites. It was unexpected, as we had decided to visit Bacalar on a whim, having heard from other travellers that Bacalar lagoon was not to be missed. The hotel has been open for less than a month, but the price point was right, the location was right and despite the lack of reviews, the photos looked lovely. Well, the photos were wrong, it was better than lovely, the views over the lagoon are incredible and the design and layout of the hotel, enhances those views. We were so mesmerised by the views that we spent a whole day on the beautiful deck, dipping in and out of the lagoon or the pool and ordering drinks and delicious food from the restaurant. So much more pleasant than a beach club. The hotel is a few kilometres out of town, which was not a problem for us as we had a car. Having a car, we found the spacious, free and secure car park just off the main highway to be a real asset. Many other waterfront properties in the Bacalar area are difficult to access with a normal car. The staff are new and as with any new establishment the staff need time to learn, but their enthusiasm and eagerness to please are genuine. They even accommodated our request to have dinner in the palapa over the water, by carrying all the furniture and food up and down many, many sets of stairs! Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with an amazing location and kind, welcoming staff.

The food was amazing. We did not expect this quality for a small hotel! The room beautiful and the bathtub amazing. The view is stunning and facilities also. The service at the hotel was brilliant also, very helpful and nice.

The noise made everytime someone takes a shower or a bath.. And the bed was a bit small for a hotel (140cm). The bathtub is really nice but not so private depending on where you are, I recommend to have a room on the second floor for a little bit of privacy.

We loved the terrace view over the lagoon, it is great for spending the day enjoying the delicious food and the relaxing atmosphere, and it becomes an intimate restaurant during the night. The spotless design of the property and the gardens are the cherry on top, because the hotel's most important feature is the people that attends you, they are willing to provide the best service ever. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD, the best in Bacalar. We cannot wait to be back!

Location on the Lagoon is incredible. Wonderful room both design and cleanliness. Very friendly helpful staff. High end food was delicious.

For us the food didn't give enough options. We ate one night at the hotel and the food and service were wonderful but high end and quite formal. On a holiday for most nights you need something less formal, more relaxed and with more everyday options.

Presentation and taste for the Fruit and Juices was really good, the hot food was delivered cold but the flavor was good, in general their service was good.

We travelled in low season and the hotel was almost empty, I think will be hard to really enjoy the facility during high season, seems to have limited seats at the pool and in front of the lagoon for a full occupancy.
