Christina and her staff were beyond excellent... friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. She gave lots of information on events in the area and arranged our transport to and from Cholula. The breakfasts were 10 on 10. Very filling, tasty and made to order. Building is centuries old and the upgrades made to the rooms are great. Shower had a plentiful supply of hot water and good pressure. Lots of drinking water provided.

There is a lot of noise from 6:30AM until 10:30PM, from the street and neighbour's backyards. Could be solved by replacing the quaint original looking door which is not nearly soundproof. Usually quiet during the nighttime.

The staff was amazing. our flight was cancelled from Houston to Puebla, so we took a flight to MEX and then a taxi. Arrived at 3 am, to a welcoming smiling Cristina. All staff were helpful and pleasant at all times. When leaving for Cuernavaca, they helped us to get a driver at a very fair price. The building is very old (XVII), and the remodeling has been done respectful of the architecture, murals, and history. It is a close walk to some of Puebla's finest restaurants and the sights. Don't miss the luchadores across the street on Monday nights. Breakfast was typical Mexican fare and ample. Choices of egg preparations, chilaquiles red or green, with mole, or chicken enchiladas. Served with a nice plate of fruit, pastries, breads. Plenty of coffee. Either served in the courtyard or in the salon.

The location was great. We were able to walk everywhere. The staff was exceptional. They provided a hot cooked Mexican breakfast to order every morning. Our host Christina, was a wealth of information about were to eat, how to get where we wanted to go and just general kindness. Lovely stay.

I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with movement issues. The there are a few downstairs rooms but most rooms are upstairs. For anyone we who has not traveled in Mexico and can not tolerate a few inconvenience such as limited hot water this hotel may not be for you. But if you enjoy true Mexican hospitality and Mexican decor you will be charmed.

Great breakfast! The big room at the top is bright and airy with outside space. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. It’s noisy on the street outside but I think it’s probably noisy on all the streets in the central area. The bar is big and well stocked. The reception area is a little bit dark but it is filled with interesting old objects as it’s a historic old building. It gives it a unique character!

Showers that say which way to turn for hot or cold ! Teabags in the rooms (there is a coffee machine).

I loved everything about the place. The place is so will decorated and colorful. The staff was super nice. The breakfast was to die for. The staff were so warm and friendly that we felt comfortable right away. We reached at 1a.m. on the day of check in but they were so patient and nice with us. Our check in was smooth. Special shout out to Christina the owner of the place. She was absolutely adorable. Super accommodating to our needs, her bar was closed for the night but upon our request she opened it for us and served us drinks and some snacks (which by the way was yummy). It was quite late at night but not once did she make us feel like we should leave. Everything about the place was super nice. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Puebla. I'm confident you won't be disappointed.

I didn't like the fact that I only stayed there for 2 days, I wish I could've stayed longer.

The hotel is a refurbished 17th century mansion, that oozes character. Caterina, the proprietor/manager, and her husband have remodelled the old mansion, and added a bespoke collection of local antiques to decorate the rooms. It is sensational. All of the staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay in Puebla was enjoyable, recommending things to see and the best way of getting there. The breakfast was wonderful. Internet connections were great -- each room has a dedicated router. I would heartily recommend this hotel to any traveller looking to discover the beauty of Puebla.

No complaints, whatsoever. This is the best hotel that we have stayed in in Mexico.

Posada has beautifully retained the rustic quality of an ancient building while making the hotel’s bathrooms modern and comfortable. From the elegant chandelier’s to the antique furniture, the spaces give you a sense of luxury. The staff are welcoming and helpful. We appreciated Chris who ran up and down the stairs to serve us delicious made to order breakfasts. Hotel Boutique Posada XXVII is now our favourite hotel in Mexico!

I loved this hotel! The 17th century hotel was decorated with interesting art and collectibles and was very artsy and fun. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating- just the nicest people. We played cards with one of the staff at the bar and he was just the nicest guy. Our family stayed in the suite with the terrace and it worked for all 4 of us. The breakfasts were chosen ahead of time and served at the requested time. They were very good. The location is in easy walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and all the major sites to see. They parked our car for free in a safe parking lot and brought it to us when requested. The price was very inexpensive for the great accommodations. We would like to visit this hotel again!

This small (7-room) family-run hotel absolutely earns the "boutique" in its name. And also the XVII which I thought meant maybe it's #17 but signifies its 17th C construction. It's artful, tasteful, and sometimes quirky -- with a sense of furnishings evoking joy, fun and whimsy -- but never too far over the top. This makes it a very warm and friendly place to wake up to, return to, or just hang out while making plans for the day. Kids will be enthralled by all the "stuff". I took a break at their bar, where the host, at my gentle suggestion, happily prepared a 5-mezcal flight to cap the evening, and guided me through it. Fine, ample breakfast is included, and letting them know your choice, and that you coming down soon, means having it ready for you just around when you take your seat. The bed, which felt exceedingly firm at first turned out to be an "orthopedic" of some sort, and provides a surprisingly great night's sleep. And how many hotel rooms have a chandelier? :) Dining and "don't forget to see" recommendations were on target. Spoken english was excellent. Having laundry done same day was a snap and reasonably priced. Very near the great restaurants, weekend markets, and streets with the evening action, and just a few minutes from the main square. The area is quiet and like a neighborhood. I do a lot of traveling, much alone, and it is such a welcome surprise to find a place where the family that owns and runs it makes you feel like family yourself.
