The location was GREAT. Breakfast not so much. But you did get to pick from the menu for your breakfast. free refills for coffee was nice. Sometimes we got waters in our room left by house keeping. Bed was comfortable. Shutter doors we could close over the french doors to the street to lessen the street noise.

The toilet took a long time to fill. Couches in our suite had no springs to them. But, we would probably stay again just a different room.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Zocalo. If you walk the other direction, i.e., turn right instead of left when you exit the hotel, you will find busy crowded streets, 8 Oriente and 10 Oriente, with all kinds of shops and good street food. There is also a Farmacia Guadalajara a block from the hotel where you can buy snacks, drinks, pastries, and toiletries. My room was large with very high ceilings, about 18-20 feet high (5.5 - 6.1 meters). It was divided into 3 compartments: a bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom. Wifi was good, and there were outlets by the bed and elsewhere in the room to charge your electronics. Water in the shower was hot, with medium pressure. The room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well. Two small bottles of water were provided daily. There was a salon next to my room with a shared refrigerator, but I was the only one using it. There is a small cafe on the ground floor. Staff was excellent, and most speak at least a bit of English. The website says they don't accept credit cards, but they do. I paid with a credit card.

My room window opened into the interior, not the outside, so I couldn't open the curtains or people would be able to see into the room. It said my room came with a terrace, but I didn't see one. There is no closet, just a short coat rack that wasn't tall enough to hang dresses or pants without them hitting the floor. However, these are minor complaints. I liked the hotel, and think it was a good value for the money. I plan to stay there on my next trip to Puebla.

Best place I've stayed in Mexico so far. Great value and so much character in this 200+ year old house in the historic centre. All the central area restaurants, cafes, bars, and museums are within a 5 minute walk but there is very little noise at night from traffic or music. Excellent wifi for working/streaming if you care to.

No air con or fan in my room so it got a little warm and stuffy in late afternoon and evening as the building warmed up from the heat of the day.

Neato little hotel close to the city center. The room was huge, nicely furnished, and lovely, with lots of storage space and some nice touches like the automatic nightlight in the bathroom. WiFi was excellent. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and the sandwiches in the cafe were delicious. Not only would I recommend this hotel, I fully plan on staying again next year.

I spent 3 nights here. The bed was very comfortable and spacious and overall the hotel was quiet. The location is steps from the main plaza and there is an attached cafe for a quick breakfast or coffee. I also enjoyed the antique aesthetics of the hotel.

I didn’t have windows to the outside world only into the hotel, but part of the hotel is exposed to the outdoors so some fresh air came in

It was a complexion of antique houses. The owner Luiciano was friendly and enthusiastic about his family property. He shared history of this house and his tips of museums were very helpful. The rooms with balcony are the best ones!

There was no hot water for shower the first night of the stay.

The staff is wonderful, very supportive and understanding when your Spanish isn't perfect. Room was comfortable, wifi worked great, and the location is ideal, you can walk everywhere.

This place overcame our expectations, it was a home away from home for almost one week. Centrally located. It is a big old mansion turned into hotel, antique furniture preserved which adds a special charm. The room was spacious and clean and the beds comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Will return to this place again.

Excellent location , large comfortable rooms , sufficient power points.Beautiful historic building.The concierge ,Marco, needs a special mention , he was always friendly and available to assist with any problems or information.
