Hotel Dali Plaza Ejecutivo

The hotel is very close to the city center but in a quiet location. It is clean and tidy, and I always had a sense of peace and tranquility in the hotel. Although breakfast is not included (there is a restaurant in the hotel where you can have breakfast and meals) there are various options nearby. Prices in the restaurant were really reasonable, but we are the kind of people that likes to explore and experience the local life. If you want my recommendation, I would go to the Chai restaurant, 2 mins from the hotel. Excellent meals at a very decent price. There is also a supermarket 1 minute away for whatever you want to buy and a few food shops nearby. The staff in the Hotel was very helpful and pleasant, everyone without exception, from the staff in reception, the doorman to the cleaning staff. The room was ample, comfortable and most importantly for us, very clean. We chose a room with views, and indeed it was worth. The sunrise and sunsets from there were amazing, with a great overview of Guadalajara. Guadalajara is a very nice city, with lots to visit within the city and surroundings. We stayed there only 5 days, and already regretting not having more days to see a coupe of things we missed. To wrap up, after a few days also in Cancun, a trip to Mexico, that we will never forget.

I liked the Dali Plaza Hotel staff very much. The room was comfortable, with a great view of the Guadalajara Cathedral. The location reminded me of Times Square in the 1980s. There is a lovely neighborhood 15 minutes away called Colonia Americana. I never saw anyone who looked like me staying at the hotel, which was great because it meant I had lots of opportunity to practice my Spanish, and avoid English, as I hoped to do.

I'd like to point out that I would stay at this hotel again before I mention the issues I had there. First, the water was often a yellow color in the mornings. I don't know if this was an issue with the hotel, or an issue with Guadalajara's water system. I was never able to raise the temperature of the air conditioner above 21ºC, which meant that I needed to ask the hotel for an extra blanket, wear my sweatshirt to bed each night and cover the AC unit with a towel to keep it from freezing me at night. The internet was spotty most of the time. I often had a lot of trouble staying connected to the internet.

The location is superb; it's in the heart of Centro Historico. I did not hear any noises from outside: no traffic noise nor loud blaring music throughout the night. The guest neighbors were fairly quiet as well. The room was clean and kept that way daily with fresh towels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I'm not very fond of cold so I would turn off the A/C at night before I go to bed. There is more than adequate hot showers, I simply have to wait a few seconds before it arrived. I reached Guadalajara by bus from Mexico City. Then took the Metro from the bus terminal to Centro Historico. On previous visits I would catch a bus.

I like everything about the hotel.

I believe the staff worry more about the hotel than the guest. I did not like if I invited someone over that I had to pay a 200 peso deposit for them. I stay in a different hotel every couple of weeks in different countries but fly out 9f Guadalajara a lot. This hotel always made me feel as if the staff were watching me for some odd reason.It was not a very friendly feeling with the exception of the bell hop Armando management should use him to teach the day manager and checking staff on how to treat guest.

First of all, I stayed for 6 days. Maintenance/sanitation staff were awsome, and the facilities and location are great for the price.

Front desk staff need better customer service. I brought my own iron, but when I asked the front desk for an ironing board, staff at the front desk were not really helpful. They just replied by saying they are all check out. When asked how could I get ahold of one, they just said, you need to keep checking. To make matters worse, once I got ahold of one, 2 days/one night later, the iron board was warned out, it had no cushion which made it practically useless.

I like the room, it was very clean. The location is perfect!

When we arrived, we were helped by Gisela. She tried to let us pay double (not the price on booking.com) and when i paid (i was looking for the pincode) she said mean things. Everything has to be in a hurry and we didnt felt welcome on our special night in Guadalajara. So our start was not nice.

Excellent location to see Centro. Convenient to have a restaurant.

Not being able to control the air conditioning to more acceptable levels was annoying. Couldn’t raise the temperature enough for comfort. We had to turn it off and wake up warm to turn it back on and freeze. Also need to mention our taxi driver to the airport crushed one of our bags in the trunk of the taxi. One corner was damaged that was NOT damaged prior to our ride. We didn’t notice the damage until we were wheeling it inside and, of course he was gone.

The first time that I wanted to stay here, it was booked. Came back another time, and wound up having a great stay.. very nice place. The facilities are quite top quality. I had no problems and it's very comfortable.

A few random things were a bit odd. I had to switch rooms, which they let me do, because one of them had no windows, but a fake window instead. Then in the other room, there were blinds but they let the light in. Other than that, it was a great stay at a nice place right in the center.

The location is very good near central within walking distance to everything. The hotel was very accommodating to our request for a fridge, since we were staying for 4 nights. Initially we book a executive room with no fridge, but they gave us a Jr. suite with fridge on the lower floor. The restaurant on site has good food and very reasonable price, even the locals eat there. They take their safety seriously, there is always someone sitting in the front entrance, the back entrance is locked no access. The stuffs speak a bit of english. Everything is very clean. The tour price is same as the hostels, which means no rip off. Good wifi & lots of Hot water for shower.

The location, we had an appointment at the US Consulate and it was the perfect location & not far from the historic center to also be able to enjoy it. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The first night the water started running brown with small particles of something so we had to let the water run for a bit for it to stop. Also the water heater took some time for it to work, we had to let the water run for about 5 mins before showering so we could use warm water.
