Holiday Inn Melaka, an IHG Hotel

The front staff went above and beyond to follow-up on some requests that we had when we checked in. They provide excellent service! The hotel is a short walk to the shopping malls, eateries and attraction area. They do have a shuttle bus from the hotel to the attraction area, but we didn't need or use it. Price was reasonable for the stay. It's not a luxury hotel, but it was clean and staff was awesome.

Eventally the Holiday Inn will need some updates to refresh and modernize their facilities.

Good location near many places for sightseeing and food options as well. Overall comfy facilities.

Potentially could look into an easier walkway to cross from Mahkota Parada to the hotel in future like a flyover walking path or such instead of currently going around, under the flyover to cross. Would help with safety aspect for guests long term wise. Also firm pillows could be more "firm". The ones provided were still too soft, had to stack pillows on top of each other to have a decent head level when sleeping. All this just for improvement purpose, honestly everything overall was great, would definitely stay here again in future :)

Spacious room, nice view , delicious and variety buffet breakfast, friendly staff

The breakfast was great and the bed was comfortable. Not much to see for sea view rooms, city view can at least to see the night of the city.

Wanted to change stay from Thursday to Tuesday, sent the date change request for a few times in vain until called Booking customer service and paid extra S$20 per room. Looks the hotel doesn't really keen in taking orders from booking.com. The pump of the shampoo bottle got problem that couldn't pump out gel and the bottle was fixed in a metal frame that couldn't be taken out, so we called operator at least 3 times and was put through a line that was no answer at all. Lucky somebody in our group brought along shampoo.

it is really a hotel that has been well maintained even after 3 years of lockdown. Really happy by picking tis hotel as our leisure short holidays getaway after pandemic. Staffs were really helpful especially Fazly from Essence cafe, all F&B staffs from kitchen to cafe front service staffs as they really worked extremely hard as hotel guests were so many of us…. chefs made sure food is replenished and food quality was really good especially Xmas eve dinner. I stayed at level 14 n the housekeeping staffs were so helpful. Keep up the good work to all Holiday Inn Mcca staffs!

The Hotel is centrally located and easy to get food outside the Hotel and Melaka Ole-Ole which is across the road from Holiday Inn is the best place to buy souvenirs from Malacca. It has the best parking and so many parking space near the Lobby and covered parking below the lobby and it is free and you could also reserve a parking space. It has shuttle going to Mahkota Paradae and Stadhuys [Red Building] every 2 hours and return but must book in advance. They have Executive Lounge which we fully used. Their pillows are really very comfortable.

Nothing wrong BUT the interior design of Holiday Inn have been left by time and they need to redesign to be at par with many boutique hotels. Their buffet breakfast arrangement is not as nice as many other 4-Star Hotels. We feel a bit old when in Holiday Inn though in reality we are old.

1)One of the chef is very rude. I requested two Pratas for my kids and he wanted me to take which is already made with overcooked. He gave me one new on top of the black Prata and never gave me even the new Prata are ready till someone took the one that I didn’t want. 2) only one key card is not really convenience for us to go down and up if family member want to stay back cos lift need key card to tap.

The room was big and comes with bathtub.

There is nothing much around the location and getting to convenience shops are difficult. Even if you are driving, the roads are usually jammed. One wrong turn and you have to drive one big round. Not much food options in the hotel. There is a loud disco besides the hotel. I could feel the windows vibrating even when I am staying at the 12th floor.

Clean, strategic, comfortable and nice view. Been quite a regular here in Holiday Inn. It's my chosen hotel should i have business there in Melaka. Strategic in location: nearby Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade and endless restaurants, eateries, food courts and tourist's spots. Staff are friendly, check-in is always swift. Room is quite large, with comfy beds and pillows. Toilets are super clean. Quite a number on their breakfast buffet. Great view. Recommended always.

They could improve on their in-room dining, though. It was quite mediocre with quite a heavy price.

checked-in for my wife's birthday vacation. 1. check-in process is excellent! - front desk staff named Eveline & Alizza (if im not mistaken the name) were very helpful and friendly. they even planned for a slice of cake to be sent to the room for a small celebration. small things but meaningful. 2. as the matter of fact, i have stayed @ Holiday-Inn Melaka, for a couple of times, whenever i go travel there. Holiday-Inn is without doubt, the best hotel I have ever stayed in, in Melaka.
