The single room is spacious enough and the deep bath is a nice luxury. Proximity to covered market streets filled with shops and restaurants is probably the best feature of the hotel. Front desk staff were super helpful recommending places to eat. And though a chain hotel, the breakfast buffet had a home cooked feel to it, with lots of healthy as well as western options, and the lady who greeted me each morning was so genki!

For a lesser cost, there are much more interesting accommodation elsewhere in the city. Unless here on business or you need easy subway connections, I recommend especially foreign tourists to check out something more traditional to the east of the Kamo river.

Everything was great!! Nothing bad to say!! If I have a chance to travel in Kyoto again, I will definitely choose this hotel!!

This is a great hotel & fantastic value for money in Kyoto. The location wasn't a far walk from the tourist areas, there is also a metro stop very close by. The area of the hotel is lovely, it's quiet & has some great local restaurants surrounding it. It felt like a very safe area. Breakfast buffet had a huge selection from Japanese & Western breakfast choices. Very clean. Comfortable beds. If you don't want your room cleaned in the day they still provide fresh towels, pyjamas & water outside the room. Coin laundry room available which includes the detergent & tumble dryers. We has a late bus onto our next destination and the hotel happily looked after our bags during the day & let us sit in the lobby until we had to go. Staff were very helpful & friendly. We will stay here again when we next visit Kyoto.

The hotel was very clean with a great choice of amenities and an amazing breakfast. The value for money was unbeatable. The staff were all friendly, there's a subway station less than a minute's walk away, and you can reach a lot of attractions by foot if you don't mind a pleasant 20-45min walk.

The bath tub only allows water to reach a certain level before it starts draining, so I couldn't have as deep a bath as I'd like, and the pillows dissolved into nothing when you put your head on them, but this place was otherwise incredible.

Perfect location, only a minute from Karasuma Oike Station, close to 'Kyoto Gear' and other activities we planned. The staff were nice and the room was super clean and modern with a touch of Japanese taste. We chose this hotel coz the check out was 11am and we want a big breakfast:)

We were told the breakfast is served until 10am. When we went to the restaurant at 9:40am, the staff told us "we close at 10am and you have only what's left." I wish they're a bit relaxed about the time, as the checkout is 11am and tourists from overseas like us are struggling with jet lag. We love the variety of food, though!

Good selection for Japanese breakfast which I love, although the quality could have been a little better. Size of the room ok, better than APA. Lots of amenities available. Great location, I think that area is really nice, you can even get to Osaka from the Karasuma station. Good washing machines available. staff helpful, you can ship your luggage to another city for a charge, just ask at the desk. Super useful.

A nice and quiet hotel, conveniently close to the metro station (just around the corner) and within a 10-15 minute walking distance to the bars and restaurants in the Kamo river area. The hotel staff is very professional and kind. They offer an excellent Japanese breakfast and provide complimentary coffee and tea 24/7.

The hotel should consider offering some international TV channels in addition to the Japanese ones.

The hotel is relatively small and quiet, very clean, new and pleasant ambiance. Bed was comfortable. Location was perfect; next to metro station, within walking distance from some tourist objectives, as well as restaurants. Has a coffee & tea station station at reception. Also provides all basic needs (slippers, PJ, tea, water, etc.) in the room. Stuff is polite & helpful. Best price for the value (I stayed in 6 hotels during 3 weeks Japan trip).

The room was very small with almost no space for the luggage; it is quite suitable for a solo or couple traveler with small luggage. I stayed in a Double room but the hotel has bigger ones.

The hotel is basically 1 minute walk from the metro station, which made it really accessible to everywhere to Kyoto. I like the hotel has a blend of western and Japanese taste. The amenities are really awesome, I used the bathroom on the ground floor after I checked out, they even have mouth wash in the bathroom for you to use, really paid many attentions to details. The staffs were really friendly and helpful, even some don't speak English, but we managed to communicate with google translate. The staff at the breakfast place really made sure you were taken care of. I dropped my butter on the floor and wanted to get it, the lady came to get it immediately. And btw, they even have cheesecake for breakfast which I enjoyed every morning. Overall, I would like to say a big thank you for the hotel, which made my second stay in Kyoto more memorable than the first one.

The desk was a bit too small, more like a coffee table. Maybe I am being a bit picky here, it would be even better to have bacon for breakfast:)

Really close to the metro station so was easy to get around. Only a couple of stops too from Kyoto stations Very helpful staff. Lovely to have lots of free amenities - tea and coffee, water, toothbrush, umbrella - even hair bands! Compact but modern and clean bedrooms.

Confusingly the hotel has a sister hotel a 15 minute walk away in Kyoto with pretty much exactly the same name! For some reason the booking.com directions took me there instead of the correct one, which was a bit frustrating when walking with lots of luggage. So make sure to check your directions and that you’re going to the right one!
