On top of a hill, the hotel commands great views of Mount Fuji and Yamanaka Lake. The hotel has 2 onsen baths, both with views of Mt Fuji, though the one on 2F is smaller and less well maintained and the one on B1 is larger, cleaner and with dry and steam saunas. We loved theJapanese buffet breakfast, which offered a big varieties of dishes. Dinner was not included in the room price and we chose to dine at its Japanese restaurant - which offers quality dishes though a bit pricy.

The room was a bit dark, and the bathroom did not have ventilation - nor was air refresher was provided. When we checked in, the bell service and reception service were friendly and helpful. But when we checked out, it was raining outside and no one helped us taking the luggage out to the car. No one cared for our departure - quite a strange feeling compared to our arrival !

The location and views were priceless. Fuji-san is absolutely stunning and the lake was lovely and quiet The staff were very polite and helpful and helped us organise a bus to Tokyo. The shuttle is a great idea too as the walk up to the hotel is quite a climb.

The room was very dated and tired with wallpaper peeling in places and in need of a refresh. It's condition is part of its charm but it would definitely benefit from an update. The bathroom was very small with yellow and even black patches in the grout and sealant. There was a child's sticker stuck to the shower head which suggested it hadn't been cleaned. There is an army base nearby and the sound of artillery fire resonates around the lake area from early in the morning and continues all day. Though this is not the hotel's fault and cannot be controlled it would be good to inform guests ahead of time.

I like the hotel as it is spacious and clean.

1. The hotel needs some renovation as the external looks like it needs a fresh coat of paint. 2. I was allocated a room on the same floor as the reception (Rm 313) in the Mt Fuji wing, but had to climb a flight of steps to get to the room which was small and squeezy. No lift to the room. I made a complaint to the reception, Mr A. Saito and told him I'm used to a spacious room with a balcony. He then told me I had to pay 3000Yen more for the room. I told him I have been staying in Hotel Mt.Fuji so many times, each time I come to Mt.Fuji to which he said we will consider the extra on check out. However allocated me the room I wanted 1212 on the Harvard Wing but did not charge me extra on check out.

1. The location is on top of the hill and for those not driving, it's a bit of a problem climbing up the hill but for drivers, it's fine. 2. Room is spacious and comfortable though the view of Mt Fuji is limited. The amenities were very good. 3. There are 2 Onsens and both have excellent views of Mt Fuji. 4. Breakfast is buffet and has good spread though it's the same every day. 5. My Credit card was not charged in advance and we could pay in cash, which is what we preferred.

1. There are no safe boxes provided in the rooms and we have to deposit our valuables with the reception. 2. No Yukata is provided that we can wear around the hotel and to the Onsen.

The onsen was amazing. We also had a view on the Mont Fuji from our bedroom. Our room was little old - which makes sense as the hotel celebrated its 60 years anniversary. The hotel staff was so kind that it compensated our stay making it very enjoyable. We highly recommend the hotel.

I personally find the room quite old fashion but at the same time impressed by the fact it has decent USB ports. My fiance was happy with everything.

Great location with fabulous views to Mt Fuji. Very good and extensive breakfast & diner buffet. Super french a-la-carte restaurant Staff are all very helpful and accommodating.

The facilities and the rather vintage rooms need a brush up to restore former grandeur. Noisy aircon in the room. Price and value for money are not in balance. Shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station is dearly missing.

Great Mount Fuji view. We woke up in the morning with stunning Fuji Mountain in front of us. Very impressive. Breakfast is marvelous. We really enjoy good breakfast together with Mount Fuji view.

The bed is a bit small. I have double bed room, which is very tight space for 2 people.

Only the onsen and the new wing faced Mt. Fuji. The old wing faced the lake and you can only see Mt. Fuji to the extreme right of your room window.

The hotel is on top of a hill. A hard hike up carrying luggage. Should be a way to call for the hotel 's minibus for pickup at the bus stop. Perhaps I should learn more Japanese 😔

The location could not be better. Amazing views from here. Amazing, helpful staff. Decent size rooms. Very clean. Beautiful grounds to admire the views

There needs to be a little updating in the rooms. Outdated decor and insufficient outlets or charging available
