The hotel is a beautiful gem, sitting atop the cliff the views are unobstructed & awe-inspiring. When you enter the lobby, you are greeted with floor to ceiling windows & the restaurant looking out onto the sea. The design is stunning, modern yet using Italian tile & aesthetics so it feels authentic to the area. The staff is so welcoming & accommodating. We had a balcony room located at the front of the property so views were great. The included breakfast was great, know that you can order items not included in the buffet (eggs any style, bacon, French toast, pancakes, etc), we didn't know that until the 3rd day of our stay & it was nice to have the variety. The saltwater swimming pool is large & service there is great. The private beach club down at the sea is exceptional & very luxurious. The staff is super accomodating & a pleasure to work with. And the garden grounds surrounding the property are so beautiful & expansive. Also, be sure to visit Il Ruffino for some of the best pizza we tried on our trip as well as the rooftop bar of Hotel Mediterraneo for a gorgeous sunset drink & snacks.

The location is on the outskirts of Sorrento, so a cab ride (~20 euros each way) is the most convenient way to get to the square or port. Be sure to bring euros (you can get at a cash machine however the fee is significant, we took out 400 euros & were charged a 75 euro fee) as the taxis don't take credit cards.

Stunning hotel with incredible views over the bay of Naples. Be sure to book a sea view room if you want to guarantee the view, but the hotel’s park setting is lovely too. Amazing buffet breakfast, and beach area. Within walking distance to Sorrento town centre.

Wasn’t made aware that the outdoor pool was closed for refurbishment until arrival, but in the end we didn’t need to use it anyway.

Location, architecture, beach, pool, lunch menus, personnel, cleanliness, comfort and simplicity.

Dinner menu (too complicated and disbalanced flavors and combinations - italy doesnt need fine dining as it already has the perfect simple food). Carpets need love. Staff is lovely but at times not helpful or forgets stuff. We stayed here 10 days so we had time to examine everything. Toiletries are bad quality for such a fantastic hotel so we had to buy outside.

Everything about this place was spectacular! The Gio Ponti designed hotel is an architectural and design masterpiece. The space has a wonderful sea side vibe with lots of white and blue. The gardens, the furnishings, the sea views are all amazing and we found it to be really peaceful. The staff go above and beyond with superior service and excellent food. The breakfast is expansive and has everything one could want. The cafe at the “beach” served good pizzas and other lunch options. But the restaurant, called Gio Ponti, was excellent. The chef is trying interesting things, we had dinner there twice and we loved everything they served. This is my new favorite place!

Room - really lovely, small balcony with a view that was just amazing. Breakfast - very good - no complaints about the quality of food - also the view, beautiful start to the day. Dinner - absolutely amazing, one of the best meals I have ever had. Not cheap but well worth it. Terrace - it was beautiful to sit there with the most amazing panoramic view. Housekeeping staff - so friendly and nice, and the room was spotless every day. Staff in general very nice and helpful. Decor- I loved the interior design of the hotel. Garden - beautiful garden also.

Breakfast - we didn't realise you could order hot food the first day. It would have been good for the staff to have offered it as there was no menu. We only realised when we saw other people getting their food. Taxi - we got a taxi from the train station. I thought the taxi driver was joking with the cost, but I checked with the hotel afterwards. Its a little over 1km and we were charged €18. Unless you have loads of luggage I would walk from the centre of Sorrento. Cost of the taxi is a joke. It is a nice walk also and very direct.

Breakfast included was gourmet. Staff were very accommodating. The commodore was always available and informative. The ocean view rooms are a must. The beach and pool facilities are perfect.

A little walk to city center but nice to be away from noise and crowds Drinks were expensive and very weak at the beach.

I love the location and the fact that is an original Gio Ponti project , the great architect and designer who contributed to change the history of design in Italy . Everything in this structure is designed by him and some pieces look still original . The upgrade done to preserve the identity of the structure is very well done as well .

Tub and shower are not separated and the tub is somehow uncomfortable

As it's low season, there's not much do do in the hotel unless you want to keep fit. However, it was calm and quiet, which made the experience relaxing . Breakfast was expectional. There was an array of choices that was most delightful. Sea view room was vast, which we loved. The gardens were well kept and beautiful.

If the traveller does not have a car, taxis can be rather expensive. With a young child, walking seemed quite precarious.

Amazing location, view, Ponti design, gardens and ambiance. Truly refreshing that so much original decor & detailing have been kept intact and not refurbished. The beach restaurant and blue bar delivered both first class service, food and drinks. This is a classic & classy place.

The food in the main dinner restaurant was a bit of hit or miss, leaving you with a some what uneven impression to an otherwise top level experience.

The pictures here don't do it justice really, it's a much more beautiful hotel than they show. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Food is great. Rooms are pretty spacious. It's also quite close to Tasso Square. Definitely would recommend.
