Hotel Palazzo Guardati

Location was perfect. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice decor. Close to shops and restaurants.

The beds were the worst ever. Hard as the floor. Couldn’t sleep.

Location and roof terrace. Definitely saved us a lot of money instead of going to the beach and paying for the sun lounges. Beautiful view from the roof terrace Staff in the dinning area were great and so friendly

The hotel is perfectly located no more than 5 minutes walk from the train/bus station. it was really handy with a multitude of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops on the doorstep, within 10 minutes you could be down by the sea. We really liked the traditional decor, marble floors and lots of chandeliers. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was a good selection for breakfast (even for someone on a low carb diet). The real gem is the rooftop terrace with great views, some people have complained about the pool being small but it was perfectly adequate to cool off. The drink/food prices on the terrace were good for a hotel and we think they should make more of this and provide a menu in the rooms with the opening times of the bar. Happy to recommend and will definitely visit again.

The only negative was not knowing when the rooftop bar was open

Amazing location, clean hotel, spacious rooms.

There were no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms which seemed odd for a 4* hotel. We had to ask for a kettle in order to make up formula for our baby and for a new hairdryer as the one attached to the wall was broken. The breakfast hall is very small so you have to book a time slot which was a bit inconvenient and again not what you’d expect from a 4* hotel. But overall it’s a lovely hotel and mainly a great location.

Great location and nice amenities! We loved the rooftop pool and bar. The rooms were very clean and had a lot of charm with beautiful floors, furniture and moldings.

The only thing that we didn’t like was that the beds were only made with sheets. There was no mattress topper under the bottom sheet, which seemed lacking as far as hygiene is concerned. No comforter or duvet either. There were blankets in the armoire which we used, which were pretty basic, but worked for warmth. Also the box springs/foundations were not covered with any bed skirt or other covering. For as nice as this hotel is, it was a bit lacking.

The staff did things with a smile, no matter the inconvenience. They got us a car service to Naples at a discount because we were telling them the horrible experience we had at Naples station. The staff answered all our questions and made great suggestions. The hotel itself is in an amazing location, 10 min max in either direction to sights. It’s roof top is off the charts and their breakfast is delicious and all fresh. I really have no negative observations.

Very Italian looking and great location. Although it next to the main square you couldn’t hear anything once in the hotel, this is due to how it was made and the walls are thick. The room was very spacious for a standard and had everything we wanted. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we asked for a iron and ironing board and it was sent up free of charge plus we borrowed a European plug. The bath was very deep and was very relaxing. All in all I would return as the location is perfect.

Our only negative was the aircon didn’t work but being in April it wasn’t that hot but if we called the staff they would have sorted it immediately for us.

The hotel is in the heart of Sorrento, close to everything. Our room was very big compared to regular hotel rooms. AC worked well. The pool on the rooftop terrace was a nice extra. In my opinion, this is a nice basic hotel and a good base for exploring Sorrento and surroundings. But if you're looking for something special, this might not be the best option.

It feels like the hotel has seen its best days and everything is a bit outdated and worn out (e.g. in our room the bin was broken, buttons to flush the toilet got stuck, drain was nearly blocked, hair dryer was so powerless it was useless, key to the safe was missing and so forth...). Also the walls are quite thin, so earplugs recommended!

Location of this hotel is amazing, whether you arrive by ferry or train. It is central and right by Piazza Tasso which links the main roads, restaurants and shops. Hotel itself is beautiful and authentically Italian, we had lovely views from our balcony (we paid for a sea view and the sea was to the side however, not front facing). Staff are very friendly and always there to offer any help.

Breakfast was good, but we could have done with a lot more variety of hot food, especially for someone who is vegetarian. Not ideal not having a gym in the hotel but that’s being picky.

The location is in the centre. Room was okey. Receptionist was very friendly. We can leave our luggage in the loby. A lot of restaurant just on the corner.

Difficult way to reach hotel. From the port there is a lof of stairs to walk. Later we discovered - from the port you can go straigt to the beach and in the end there is an elevator to go up ( you can avoid stairs and be easies eay to go with luggages). Cost 1€. Breakfast its ok, variety poor. Bad door isolation, during the night we can here everybody who was crossing the coridor.
