There is a very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. Even though check-out was at 10:30 a.m., I was able to work in the hotel lobby all day until 6 p.m. using the free WiFi and sitting comfortably and undisturbed in a quiet and comfortable space. When the staff saw me working at the computer for several hours, they often asked if I would like a coffee.

Location, ambience, breakfast and hospitality were perfect. Birds waking you up to a good breakfast spread with a great sitting in garden area made the mornings wonderful. The staff at the reception are very cordial and helpful. The location of the place is just a five minute walk from the main bus and ferry station. The rooms are nice and recently equipped to make the stay comfortable.

As is the case with most European hotels, the rooms were small. Not enough space to open large size suitcases. Other than that, I strongly recommend this hotel.

A really nice experience when staying at the hotel. Perfect location when traveling with small children - only 400m/5min walk from the S.M.E. Vaporetto waterbus station. Moreover, close to the sea beach. Not a brand new hotel, so maybe a little bit worn-out, but this is greatly compensated with the cleanliness and friendly staff. Breakfasts of continental type with scramble and boiled eggs and hot sausages, croissants as far as hot food is concerned. Besides, a lot of fresh food - bakery, fruits, juices, vegetables, corn and many more. Coffee machine and a staff helping to make a good coffee decorated with a heart pictogram. Hotel Rigel would be defenitely my choice if I happen to go to Venice again!

First and foremost, the same room in Venice would be smaller and three times as expensive. This hotel is a great value. The rooms are a bit dated and the air conditioning struggled, but that’s Venice. Great place for families and probably the best breakfast offered anywhere in Venice. The hotel is pretty and in a safe location. Our room wasn’t spectacular but that doesn’t matter because we were 5 minutes from several spectacular beaches and the Main Street is clean, beautiful, and full of amazing restaurants and shops with friendly staff. The stereotypical Venetian aloofness is absent in Lido di Venice and we would stay here again.

I consider living in Lido Island is the best choice in Venice. Compared with the main island, there are lesser crowd & noise and more plants & gardens on Lido. And this hotel is located on a position that is only 4 minutes walking distance to the vaperatto station (the terminal of line 1 and 2), providing the hotel convenient transportation. There are also supermarket, restaurants and sand beach nearby. My families really loved the location of the hotel. The hotel receptionists were warmth and helpful; they provided us many help these days. The hotel also provides nice breakfast with enough choices. We booked the hotel in 2021, postponed to 2022 then 2023 due to pandemic control; then we booked one more day in 2023. The hotel charged us the final day according to the current price and the first 3 days according to the much lower price of 2021. I appreciate the hotel for that they didn’t require making up the price difference.

We booked 2 rooms. The space of the triple room was good, but the single room was too narrow with only 9 square meters. I checked and it seemed all single rooms were this small size. Moreover, some facilities of the hotel were a little bit old.

Everything was great, customer service was really nice. Reception is open 24/7, you can even order some drinks in reception. Breakfast was yummy. You were able to choose from fruits, cheeses, hams, croissants, coffee, hot chocolate, and juices... Location 10/10. Lido is a peaceful island with gorgeous views. Near the beach is the cinema which VENICE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is in every year. The boat station is 5 minutes walk from the hotel and boats are sailing very often, honestly, you don't have even to check the timetables.

Wifi was slow and sometimes unstable. For someone who needs a very fast connection internet(for work) in Hotel Rigel can be annoying. But for watching streaming services like Disney+, HBO, or watching youtube is completely fine. I know Lido is an island and a stable network can be tricky. If hotel management reads this comment maybe think about Starlink?

Well, I arrived at 14:00 on 4th of June 2023 and I could check in 😊. The room has enough space for 1 person, it has a minirefrigerator. The bed is comfortable, the window is big so a lot of light gets in. The shower cabin has enough room. The breakfest is very good, I was very pleased and satisfied with it. It was a problem with my invoice, but the staff took imediat action to fix it. The location is nice, around 4-7 minutes away from a water bus station. It also has a mini supermarket in its proximity. I left in the morning of 6th of June 2023. I could serve the breakfast earlier, at around 6:50-7:10. I could also keep my lugage at the hotel in order to visit Venice for a while longer.

Beautiful property a short walk away from Lido ferry stop. Quiet street close to walking street with lots of restaurants to choose from. It included a delicious breakfast spread that appealed to all palates including my children, age 5 & 8, and their grandparents! I enjoyed the reprieve after the hassle and bustle of Venice.

The beds are really firm, but we slept better here than anywhere else…which may be because we were so exhausted from walking everyday…however we couldn’t argue that we all slept great, so who knows!

We walked in and loved it. The somewhat faded glory of the hotel has nevertheless got bags of charm. The combination of really friendly staff, 24-hour reception, a huge comfortable lobby with a bar, and a breakfast room with a generous buffet as well as attentive service (fresh coffee, clean table cloths, set tables) really made us feel at home. We felt very safe and well looked after.

The bathrooms would undoubtedly benefit from renovation, and the hotel smells a little 'old'. Nevertheless, everything was clean and we did appreciate the very reasonable price we had paid. Be aware that if you stay at Lido, you will have to pay for the Vaporetto to take you over to main Venice which is 9.00 Euros per trip (24/48 hr passes are cheaper).

Location is brilliant - very central and just a short walk away from many of the prime sights, plus less than 2 minutes to the vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal from which you can go pretty much everywhere. Breakfast is a very good buffet. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The bedroom was minute with a tv that pointed into the wardrobe so useless. But I wasn't there for the tv. There was also a tiny decorative table that threatened to tip over so to be ignored - like the tv. But the single bed was comfy and the bathrom though very small was modern and immaculate.
