Location: Terrific-5 minute walk to everything, including public bus. Staff: Laria, Camilla, Francesco and a young assistant were friendly and understanding. Facilities: microwave, refrigerator, tables, chairs and large tv(italian only) in reception area. Oversized bathroom(room 214) Elevator to access upper floors.

Bed way too hard. Could not sleep on my side. Also, Wifi was sporadic first night. Second night worked fine

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at the Mini Hotel. We were immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the premises, the friendliness of the staff, the spacious bedroom, bathroom, antechamber, and the location. Check-in and check-out were problem free. We were greeted each day with a friendly, “Buongiorno” from the receptionist. We appreciated the level of security provided by the four keys. Although our room was front facing, it was surprisingly quiet. We did hear the occasional dog bark or person shouting but otherwise our sleep was undisturbed. There was very little internal noise too – we did hear a child crying once, but there were no other loud voices or doors banging. The hotel is ideally located for enjoying a walking tour of Genova, within walking distance of Piazza Principe (where bus from airport stops), Piazza Ferrari, Castelletto, the Port and many wonderful restaurants. We did have to get a bus to Boccadasse. Housekeeping was superb with a daily change of bed linen, towels, and soaps/shower gels, plus the in-depth cleaning of the bedroom and bathroom. Toilet rolls are renewed when necessary but it would be a good idea to have a spare roll provided in case one roll is finished before the housekeeper arrives. Furniture was kept to a minimum. A kettle was provided (but not cups), and there is a coffee machine in the reception area. Air-conditioning is provided and the shuttered window could be opened to enhance airflow. The bed was comfortable but some people might require more than a single pillow (there are extra bedclothes in the wardrobe which could be used to elevate the pillows). We would like to thank each member of staff who made our stay in Mini Hotel so memorable, not just while we were present in Genova, but in our communications beforehand. Booking.com made an error in double charging us and it was a nightmare to deal with their (Booking.com) customer services when requesting a refund.

No spare toilet roll. No extra pillow(s).

Once you get there from the train station (a trek with a bag) you’ll find that this hotel is in an amazing location - heart of old town and really quick walk to the port esplanade with the aquarium, maritime museum and restaurants etc. the air conditioning was a life saver because it was extremely hot during my stay in Genova. Staff were lovely and helped me carry my bags up the stairs twice.

It was a hard walk in a heatwave to get there with my heavy luggage and the metro that’s closer to it was closed for construction. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfasts continue because they were overpriced and the coffee wasn’t nice (plus they used disposable cups/pods). There are plenty of cafes nearby (including downstairs) for pastries/coffee and if you look hard enough you’ll find a rare cafe/restaurant serving more substantial food that’s open before 1pm … Good luck!

It’s a great place to stay for a few days in Genoa. You’ll find here everything you need – clean room, towels, small private bathroom with a little soap bar and shampoo. Location is amazing; everything is just a few steps away. Communication with hotel is perfect; they let you know exactly what you need to get inside. Great thing is access codes – you can come in the evening or at night even if no one is at the reception.

The only thing you should prepare for is thin walls. You can hear everything that goes in the next room and on the street. If you are a light sleeper, you will probably wake up more than once during the night or early morning.

I doubt you can beat the price for location, it's close to everything, plus the street you are on has anything you might need. The sheets and towels were clean every single day and everything in the room worked. The staff was kind and caring.

The only problem: it was cold. The heating is off at night to save energy which I understand. The issue is, like most tourists, we were in the room only at night. The entire day there is heating available but there is no need for it, and at night when you need to use the bathroom you are stepping on cold tiles. This really hampered our comfort. This was the only bad thing I can say about it though. If you go during a warmer time, or are not phased by a little cold, it should be perfect. And even I would probably choose this location again.

The location was unbeatable - 5 minutes walking for Porto Antico, the Aquarium, etc. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 - one queen size bed, two singles, and bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful, it was clean and quiet. There were also several good restaurants right across the street. It is simple, no frills, but the value for the money is unbeatable - that location and convenience, I feel like it's an unbeatable deal. We were also able to leave our luggage at the front desk at no cost until we were ready to go to the train station.

We wouldn't have wanted to spend much time in the room - pretty much just showering, sleeping, etc. - there wasn't much space to lounge around, but that's not really what we were there for - we were up and out the door all day. There was a little bit of a musty smell - there isn't a ton of air circulation, but everything seemed really clean.

nice and clean mini hotel, probably the best value for money: right in the city center, and yet close to the Piazza Principe railway station, with elevator and air conditioning. there's also a possibility to store luggage free of charge

it would be nice to have a mini fridge, and also the door lock was a bit tricky for me to master (but l managed 🙂). and be prepared for little to no soundproofing, l suppose that goes for all the buildings in the city center

Perfect location, right in the centre with everything within 10-15 minute walking distance including the railway station. Room was great with separate desk area and ensuite bathroom with fresh towels and toiletries provided each day. Staff really friendly and helpful.

This is not about the hotel for which I have no complaints. There are three restaurants immediately outside but be warned, one is best avoided - Ristorante Pizzeria Mazzini has an extensive seafood menu but tried to serve me mussels that hadn't opened. When I explained this meant they shouldn't be eaten they said this wasn't really a problem, took them back into the kitchen, forced them open and tried to serve them to me! They clearly don't care about food poisoning.

Door codes worked fine, the location was marvellous, right near a beautiful church, right around the corner from a convenient bus depot, and a quick walk to shops, restaurants, and the harbour area. The hotel was clean, quiet, smoke-free, wifi worked fine, and it was an incredible value. I would recommend it to other travellers.

I didn't like that the staff were never present between 7pm and 7am, and would not personalise their correspondence by giving their names, even after I asked them twice. I always like to know the names of people I am doing business with.

The room was nice and comfortable, maybe the building needs a freshing up as the room, but being in the most central part of the city you can't expect any thing different. The bathroom was really nice and well equipped. The staff was extremely friendly and professional, they were able to accomodate our special requests and were prompt to answer any questions. They even brought our luggage, that we left in the lobby before check in, in the room. Only note is that you have to ask to use the lift or to stay on the first is you have special needs, otherwise you have to use the stair to go to the upper floors. Very close to everything.
