Hotel Clodia

Best location in the historic center “Old Town” between 2 canals, 15 minutes walk from the train station and 20 minutes walk to the beach! The owner and staff speak English and make great recommendations on food and activities. They helped carry my luggage up to the 4th floor for an amazing view of the commercial ships on the canal and Sottomarina area. The room is very basic and a hard bed, but this is common in Italy. Great air conditioning, even with the humidity. I got my exercise up and down the steep stairs!

Chioggia is an amazing little town to base your Venice visit from. It felt a bit like Venice but without the crowds and over-priced restaurants. And it has a beach! Hotel Clodia is located within 2 minutes walking of a variety of restaurants and the ferry dock to Venice. Room was clean and neat and staff was very friendly and helpful. Great value for money stay.

The room was quite small for our family of four - the space was literally filled with the four beds.

Perfect location in old town, very close = really walking distance to the main promenade. Also close (15min. walking) to the beach. Parking in front of the door. Aldo at the reception super friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfest was a usefeul bonus to start our day in Chioggia - we got everything what we needed.

The location was perfect, just behind the central road of Chioggia. It was also very important to have parking for the car near the hotel. The breakfast was rich and various. The room was nice and clean, there was also a balcony. The owner was very kind both in terms of hospitality and of useful information.

It is a small Hotel in the historical center of Chioggia. Yes, the hotel is aging and if you have a room on the 4th floor, the stairs are a challenge. But the view is great. The cleaning service came every day.

As mentioned, the hotel is an old one.

The reception was great, the staff was perfect.

Regarding breakfast, maybe due to Covid, it was not a buffet but we were served at the table. This lead to each of us getting not that much food. Based on the pictures, I thought I would be able to take as much as I could. The bread served was cheap toast bread, nor normal proper bread. Also the salami were not as good as pictured. Te wifi in room 5 on floor 2 was weak - my phone could use it but my laptop and an iphone could not.

Lovely people. Large comfortable clean rooms most with balconies.Great breakfast. A parking space in the centre of the old town was really useful. They looked after our bags and car until 3.00pm on our check out day. A couple of staff spoke good English which helped. Great location in a beautiful town.

Perfect location, close to Chioggia main square and close to Sotomarina port where boat to Venice leaves from. Staff was very helpful, provided us with everything we asked for. The room was sparkling clean and spacious and the view from balcony was amazing, the port on one side and beautiful street ending with a canal on the other side. Parking on street was reserved for us and it's right in front of the entrance.

The location, the ambiance, price and breakfast! The friendliness of the staff towards guests and pets.

It would be nice to have a kettle in the room but we were able to get a hot water from the host as well with no problem. Very friendly service.

The satff at this hotel is truly excellent, efficiant and very helpfull. The breakfast is good, hotel is convenientely and romantic located in the old town directly at the canal. Free parking was near the hotel and it is a big plus!!! We will be happy to return here and stay longer.
