Hotel Montecarlo

Everything! We wanted a day off from the long drive we were on back to the UK from Sicily and this hotel was the prefect choice. The rooftop pool with plenty of sunbeds was perfect for a relaxing afternoon in the sunshine. In the hotel, our room was big and comfortable and the fresh fruit in the bowl was a nice touch. As we have found during our numerous hotel stays, breakfast can be hit and miss, but here it was varied and plentiful and set us up for the day. Parking is always a concern for us, being in my own car and not just a hired one, and here the car park was free and safely underground, unlike some of the other places we've stayed where they've charged €20 or even €30 per night to park!! All in all, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and we hope to return when we do the journey again next year and stay a little longer. In particular, the manager was very friendly and hospitable, and I'd like to thank him for taking the time to explain about the barrel rolling festival in Montepulciano. We watched it together on TV in the lounge. Very interesting.

The staffs were really great!! They were so helpful with everything. Chianciano terme is good as a base for sightseeing the surrounding areas but the town feels really dead. I hope more people visit it so the town gets revived soon. Breakfast was ok, its the standard breakfast with cereals croisannts fruits etc There is air con in the room so you can decide how cold or warm you want the room to be

I couldnt open the shutter to the balcony so I couldnt see any view from my room. The toilet light was spoilt too but it didnt bother me, I just used the mirror light which was bright enough. Just realised i forgot to inform the staffs about this that the light needs to be changed. If any staff is seeing this, I think my room was 303?

A great place to relax while taking in the unique landscape of southern Tuscany. We particularly liked the rooftop swimming pool and solarium area. It was also great to have a balcony to soak up the evening sun. The breakfast offered sufficient choices. An evening meal is available, but we didn't try it as the Pizzas at Rosso Vivo (5 mins walk along the SP 146) were so excellent. We most definitely plan to return and stop a little longer

The WiFi never seemed to work properly. A bathroom refit with shower cubicle instead of curtain would be welcome

We have done a stopover here before and decided to stay again because it is great value for money, the owners and staff are very polite, friendly and attentive, the breakfast is very good with nice coffee, and the pool is a real bonus, particularly in the very hot summer months. The air conditioning works very well too.

Okay, the decor is a little dated, but it fits in perfectly with the whole town of Chianciano.

The location was very good with possibility of parking. The hosts had been very nice and welcoming, helping us in order to give directions, keep a big prosciutto I bought in their cantine, and even printing us the thermal bath tickets with hotel discount. Very appreciate their hospitality.

We used the hotel for a one night stay while traveling in Italy. The welcome was nice even in the late hours. With breakfast they accommodated to our early departure. Breakfast buffet. In room fridge, TV and balcony. Bathroom equipped with towels, shower gels and hairdryer. Hotel amenities older but cozy. We were given bottled water for the trip. Very helpful and accommodating. Parking at the hotel. We will definitely go back if we get the chance. One of the few hotel immediately issued a receipt for payment without us asking.

On our way to Sicily we stayed here overnight. Now on the way back. A warm welcome, we tried the pool. The view from the balcony was great. Nothing to complain about, just less room in the room for a cot. We were given fruit as a welcome. Furniture retro. Breakfast buffet, friendly staff will make coffee. Free parking at the hotel. We were given free slippers at the slipper.

Friendly reception at the hotel, the views from the room balcony were great and even better from the wonderful roof terrace where the pool is located. The room and hotel were clean, even if they are somewhat dated. The breakfast ingredients such as the cakes and croissants were excellent. Good value for money. Nice underground car park that is safe and keep the car cool.

What could have been better? The beds! They the ring-mesh base and super soft mattresses, they almost swallow you up.

A little Retro Style Hotel but evrything is very clean and working. Very friendly people and reallly good breakfast. Best is the Bacony with view over the beautiful area.

Simple room but clean and and cool! Didn’t have time to enjoy the rooftop pool but that was nice too. The owners are really nice.

Breakfast could have been a bit better but it was standard.
