The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens

Everything! Stunning hotel in the most incredible location. Perfect for our last few days in the area so we could have some R&R around the amazing location. Room was perfect for us, with plenty of space Breakfast was so good, and so much choice. Dinner was ace. All staff and service were amazing.

Room was great, wonderful view, loads of space, the only issue would be that they seemed to block everyone who was staying (not many) in one section which meant being surrounded by young, loud children - as we were staying 2 nights it wasn't an issue, but any longer we may have asked to move room. People smoke on the balconies, so that was an issue. herbal teas might be a nice addition

The facilities were good. Beautiful scenery. Nice swimming pool. Horse riding is ideal for families. Staff were friendly.

Safe didn't work in the room. Towels not available in swimming pool (ladies changing room). Swimming togs dryer didn't work. Lot of confusion at breakfast. Shower door was off the hinges and water was pouring onto the floor.

Amazing location. The hotel offers various leisure time activities. Also the infrastructure of the hotel is nice and shows quality.

Especially in the restaurant the service team needs much better training/ more skilled people. When we were there in April 2022 the hotel had too many beginners in the service team and by far too few seniors to train them. Hence, the dining & breakfast experience was very chaotic. The food itself was good. Regarding the breakfast it would for sure also help to reduce the chaos as well as food faste, when everything would be available on the buffet and not so much dishes (e.g. cold meat, cheese, salmon, etc.) needs to be ordered. Not a big issue, but what would also be nice, is an improved wine list also with some more high quality wines.

Staff were fabulous, reception were lovely and very welcoming. The hot towels and juice and little booklets for the kids were a nice touch. Food was delicious and all staff were fantastic. Loved the pool which we had all to ourselves. For a luxury hotel, it was wonderful to see them cater so well to children. The family room was perfect for us, it wasn't overly spacious but the adjoining rooms, large balcony and two ensuites meant we were very comfortable and it suited us well. Will definitely be back.

We would have preferred if dinner menu started earlier (which would suit us with small children). 5pm seating in the restaurant was still lunch menu which was limited (albeit very tasty).

Housekeeping wad poor. Was not until last night of stay we found out that we should have had a bed turn down service each evening. This did not happen. Noted by hotel manager so hopefully the next guest will benefit. We certainly didn't although not a major issue. Was looking forward to the sauna but was out of order and the steam room was disappointing, more steam from a boiling kettle. Pool was fine. Also with housekeeping very noticable lack of dusting in some public areas, especially latge table in bat area

Really comfortable bed. Room a really good size. Breakfast superb.

There was limited in-room cutlery and glass ware.

This is a Wonderful hotel, the staff are friendly and courteous. The hotel is so clean and the view from our balcony was gorgeous. The breakfast was so good and the room service was quick, food was hot and fresh. Our daughter enjoyed the horseriding, the staff were so helpful and polite, such lovely people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The gardens and grounds are wonderful, also a great playground. This hotel is a rarity and we will be back !!

Amazing place. Really one of the best locations I have ever stayed in my life.

Some details is the room luxury finishing could be better and definitely to improve anything else that is not meat grilling in the restaurant (again, meats are exceptional) with the most important part to improve probably on the wine selection, which is frankly too commercial and low level in the selection and the service for such a place. They definì need a proper high end sommelier.

Amenities for children were great,swimming,horse riding. The grounds,car park and gardens very well kept. The cleanliness of the public areas very good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Value for money and expectations were not good.

Despite being told that our room was ready it wasn’t. Size of family room wasn’t good,

The staff, pool, horseriding, views, lobby, bar, bar music and grounds were all fabulous. Breakfast was lovely. Restaurant was very comfortable with great views and lovely ambience.

The menu was very expensive. Especially the starters for the portion size. Service started off great but then by the end of the meal it slowed down and we did not receive all of what we ordered. The shower was in the bath which made it difficult for the grandmothers in our group. There was also a wedding on which was quiet noisy early in the morning and could be heard in our rooms.
