- The Kind Staff - The Hot Water Shower - The Ability To Order Food To The Hotel From Other Restaurants - The Kettle Service Within The Room - The Tidiness Of The Room & Bed - The Shower Size

- The Iron Provided Was Not Of Good Quality - The Hot Water Was Cut Off At A Certain Time I The Shower - The Windows Cannot Be Opened Fully To Sit By The Balcony - The TV Screen Could Be Closer To The Bed And In Front Of The Bed Instead Of To The Side - TV Didn’t Have Disney Plus - Only One Socket By The TV For The TV, And Because Of This I Was Not Able To Plug My Fire Stick In - The Lamp On One Side Of The Bed Is Broken

This boutique Hotel was in a perfect location which was right on the promenade and opposite the pebble beach. The staff were extremely friendly and it was immaculately clean throughout the entire building which included the Caffee Vergnano, Wildes Bar and their Indian Restaurant. There is also a Kebab shop under the hotel too. The rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated and very modern yet kept some period features. We stayed 2 nights and on the second day our towels and bathrobes were changed and the room was cleaned. There is onsite parking available (£10 for 24hrs) which was greatly appreciated as it’s pay and display everywhere.

I am on crutches and was aware of no lift, however I wasn’t aware just how steep the stairs to the bedroom was. I managed ok as I had help. Therefore, the property is not ideal for people with limited walking abilities and it’s certainly not wheelchair friendly. There are approximately 12 steps to get into reception. There is no lift and a flight of stairs to get to the first floor bedrooms. The bathroom in our room was very much an en-suite as it was small with no heating in it but immaculately clean.

The room was lovely and comfortable and cosy, the shower was great. Lovely extra touches like comfy bathrobes. Excellent location, lovely cafe for breakfast also. Staff are very nice and cheerful.

We booked a sea view which we didn't get.

The room was very good. The staff also were excellent. Location in Bray could not be better.

I was a bit confused regarding the pub on the ground floor and its relation to the hotel. It was not of the same standard as the rest of the hotel (although the staff were excellent). We had a drink there because I didn't realise that there was a bar on the first floor. Also there was confusion in my head regarding the restaurant menu: where it was served. I thought meals were only served in the pub, which was not very inviting. Perhaps this should be made clearer on check-in. Or perhaps I misunderstood when I arrived. Otherwise very happy.

The room was quirky,spotless clean big massive towels included bathrobes and there was Netflix provided as TV had no channels the staff in bar and checkout were really pleasant and friendly.omg the food in bar was sooooo good and shower was roasting hot

The hotel could do with a fresh lick of paint outside and in the carpet down to bar was a bit worn the mirror in bedroom was rusty. Went to breakfast taught the food would have been as good but was disappointed rashers were cooked but cold as were mushrooms and pudding was cooked in deep fat fryer not good and was no offer of juice,water or cereal or more toast .

OMG! We found the Strand at the last moment after a long day of driving - so lucky to get the last room. What charm and character the hotel has! It is kind of small since it was once his home, but the individual rooms with unique names were nice. Ours was small but cozy, had a nice bathroom and window looking out to the sea and the street below. The restaurant downstairs was fab - I had Indian food that was delish! The breakfast was good the next morning as well. We were able to park right in front of hotel which was nice. The walk across the street on the beach front was exceptional - I would stay here again!

I cannot think of a negative thing about the Strand - would recomment and would stay again

Omg, the staff was amazing, I got married the day I arrived at this hotel and one of the staff was so generous and took pictures of us 😍 the staff were amazing there and they would greet us every time he saw us the food couldn't say more then it was perfect. The view of that place remained me of my childhood when I have been coming to bray since I was a child I showed my partner where I grew up it was just amazing I can't say more. Shout out to the person that took the picture of us couldn't get a chance to thank you much I wish I got your name to thank you so much 😊 the hotel made me so happy that I didn't want to leave 😀 we will definitely come back to this place thank you again for everything

The presentation of the breakfast was excellent..I opted for the full irish option. The flavour of the bacon/sausages weren't exactly to my taste, but I just can't complain as everything else about the place was fantastic! We had a meal in the bar on the previous evening which was delicious. The staff were just brilliant..very engaging and helpful. The bedroom was very clean with a very comfortable bed...Nice view of the seafront as well. Location of the hotel is first class..right in the middle of the esplanade...beautiful sea/land views.

I have no suggestions for improvements...we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will return!

Very nice twin room overlooking sea. Comfortable beds. Met all our needs. Staff very friendly and provided a good service.

Small mirror required on wall next to hair dryer. 2 full Irish breakfasts ordered and several items of food on both plates were cold. Food should have also been served on hot plates not COLD plates!! Breakfasts replaced but there were still a couple of items that were not warm enough but did not bother making any further comment as we had an appointment to go to.

Quaint accommodations with a history! The entire staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfast on-site was delicious and the views from the restaurant balcony for breakfast were perfect! Only a 10 minute walk to the train/bus station. Plenty of green space across the street for dogs and kids to play. Loved our stay, only with it was longer! Only drawback is for tall people. The bathroom ceiling height was low and my 6'5" boyfriend was not able to stand up in the bathroom. The bathroom could use some hooks, too - to hang towels, robes, etc. :)

I wouldn't say there wasn't anything we disliked so much that there wasn't a work-around! There are stairs but the staff is very helpful to carry the luggage up and down for us. The restaurant/bar isn't open late but there is one a short walk down the street that is. :)
