Sheraton Mustika Yogyakarta Resort and Spa

Pool was amazing, the gardens were lovely, and the view of Mount Merapi from our room was spectacular. Breakfast was good, staff in the breakfast area were friendly and helpful. Hotel in general and our room were clean, despite being an older hotel. Comfy bed and good water pressure in the shower!

Hotel staff didn't seem to really speak or understand much English, especially the kitchen/room service. We also found it rather annoying that the hotel staff would ask us about our stay at very inconvenient times and insisted that we answer then and there, not at a later time that suited us. Happened once while waiting for a car to pick us up, then another time when they called up to our room in the evening at 8 PM. Wouldn't have expected this with a room from Sheraton. Room was also NOT soundproofed, there was a wedding in the gardens that weekend, and it was so loud, we could hear EVERYTHING from the MC making stupid jokes to people singing offkey with the band.

We had an awesome view of Mount Merapi from the balcony. I looked at Mount Merapi for hours. The breakfast was amazing - Asian and Western-style - and evening meals were very good, although not much choice for this type of hotel/resort. The staff were kind and friendly, attentive to needs, especially the restaurant staff. The pool was very well-located near main building; and beautifully designed as well as great for swimming. Great place to relax, read etc. The room was clean and comfortable. TV program choices were not that great, but then I didn't watch it that much anyway. Bathroom was clean and adequate but, like a lot of places, is showing its age. Safety grip handle for bath tub was loose. There is a lot of renovation in progress on other floors, minus the noise!

Safety First! While I am able to get around okay at 70, I noticed very few handrails in the pool area and in the restaurant area with its tiered levels of about 4-5 steps. Not disabled/wheelchair friendly for breakfast buffet. However, staff are very helpful for anyone who needs assistance; and they do with a smile! The main floor of the restaurant is spacious, good for getting around and for private conversation.

Room is renovated and has a modern feel. Unfortunately during our stay there were some hickups (e.g. it took 10min+ before we could get warm water). Breakfast has a large variety of choices, both local as international. Pool area is nice and very suitable for kids. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The kids club was a bit disappointing. A small slide inside and the airco is not really working. No activities organized for kids during our stay.

The people were so caring. Especially bu ika with a smiling face helped us every single day mornings with customized vegetarian dishes and packed apple my kid when we go for sightseeing. It’s the people that make Sheraton wonderful place to stay

The staff is good, they're fast respons to our needs. The garden and the swimming pool is very interesting.

The room light was too dark and the facilities in the room seems like too old. Yeahh although we know Sheraton isn't a new hotel but the good news is their also provide the room with modern design. I just didnt expect the room i've stayed was too darkk.. For information the room type i got is the suite room. The last thing is the aircon position maybe not good enough b'coz it directly blow to our bed and the swing cant be adjusted.

Wonderful setting. Beautifully kept grounds. Our room was very spacious and clean. Service was excellent particularly in the restaurant.

Reception process was very lengthy and there was limited English skills with reception staff. The bathroom in our room was a bit tired and needed renovation.

Only few hotels in Jogja have spacious green space, Sheraton is one of them. The view is beautiful. The pool is clean. And what I like the most, the staff members are always friendly, especially the room service. The new kids playground was good as well.

I didn’t mind with the old furniture and upholstery, however I have dust allergy and the room clearly needed intensive vacuum/cleaning. I noticed several dusty spots in the room and curtains

The restaurant manager, Bagus, took great care of us. Got my granddaughter a special little cake, invited us to a dessert tasting and overall was very attentive.

The check in process was painfully slow. I hada massage, and at triple the price I expected a trained masseuse, she wasn’t. The property needs upkeep, tiles loose, paint peeling, etc. The hotel is far from all Yogya activity, it’s 30 minutes to get anywhere by taxi.

Breakfast is excellent and almost the best in entire Yogyakarta. Pleasant with family as well, cozy room and lot of space. Unique Hotel

In total and in comparison to other hotels is the value for money far from best. I had stays in similar hotel for almost 50% of the price. Very poor WLAN connection in my room.

Wonderful property with a a very nice pool. The staff were very polite and goes out of their way to assist you. Breakfast was great with both local and international fares.

The hotel needs a makeover especially the rooms. The age shows although they are maintaining it to the best they could.
