Courtyard by Marriott Reykjavik Keflavik Airport

Very lovely and comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful. Close to the airport.

Given that it is a hotel nearby the airport it is surprising that there is no airport shuttle. Breakfast was as of 6am while other hotels offer as of 4am (given that there is a lot of flights at 7am).

The Hotel is well located closed to some of the car rental laydowns. There is a pharmacy on walking distance and a petrol station right next it. Provided Wifi speed was good enough and mobile reception was also good. There is plenty of carpark space around the place. Staff was very kind to help us organise a taxi to the airport, which is charged flat rate at 3000 Kr. The breakfast was generous and had a good variety, however coffee could have been a better quality.

The room was unexpectedly too warm, to the point that was too hot to sleep, since the hotel doesn’t have AC, we had to open the window and the staff was kind enough to lend us a fan.

My stay at the hotel can be described as satisfactory. The hotel itself met my expectations, offering a decent experience. Adjacent to the hotel, I noticed the presence of both a gas station and an electric car charging station, which is worth mentioning. Interestingly, I had arrived in town with my Tesla only having about 20% battery left. Fearing that the hotel might not have a charging facility, I took the initiative to locate a supercharger in the town. However, upon my arrival, I pleasantly discovered that the hotel did indeed offer a charging station, and it was a fast one. The only catch was that there was a fee associated with using it. hotel's location is its proximity to the airport, taking just around 8 minutes to reach by car.

Pros: super clean facilities, super friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly delicious, MUCH better than the laundromat restaurant in Reykjavik. Dinner, amazing food, we had the fish soup, arctic char and fish and chips. Delicious and lovely ambiance. The sleep was quiet and comfortable. Nice big washroom and a little tea and coffee maker with fridge in the room. Love the little snack bar and lounge. We will come here again, the quietness and proximity to the airport for early morning flights was the best benefit as driving into and out of all the excursion areas was easy from here.

Cons: sheets are a bit rough and the views aren't great. But these are nothing compared to the pros.

We stayed in the hotel overnight. The room was quite big, but sparsely furnished - 2-person bed, 1 small desk, 1 chair and a stool, 1 very small table, small fridge, 1 small wardrobe and a small place for your bags. The bathroom was large with 2 sinks and very well equipped for people with disabilities. The place felt quite clean.

The hotel also had a gym, which didn't have a lot of equipment (a treadmill, a bike, a stepper, some not very heavy weights, a few kettlebells and several medical balls). This felt insufficient for the scale of the hotel of 150+ rooms. The curtains in our rooms couldn't be completely closed on one side as it was behind the wardrobe. This let some light in during the night, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping. When we were there the internet wasn't working in the rooms. They said they were trying to fix it, but we didn't have it during our stay.

Excellent hotel with very beautiful and well sized modern rooms. Excellent restaurant too with great breakfast. Easy parking as there are more than 50 places available on site. A gas station and charging stations for electric cars are also available.

Although the hotel is in close distance to the airport (dont believe distance in Booking as this is in a straight line), there is no bus route servicing the hotel, nor any shuttle ran by the hotel itself. So you end up paying around 2800-3200 Icelandic Krona for a 2min trip to the airport. This is by far the most ridiculous taxi fair I have ever paid. If you are also renting a car for your trip, get the car before going to the hotel.

This was a top-class hotel that is a credit to the Marriott brand. The room and bathroom interior design was beautiful, which made them look and feel even more luxurious. The room was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Definitely worth mentioning that they are strongly orientated towards sustainability as they had a lot of subtle touches, such as not using plastic bags in the bins, segregated bins in reception,, recyclable forks and spoons in the rooms, avoiding the use of disposable cups etc. The staff were very professional and helpful.

Our stay was too short, wish we could stay longer.

The room in the hotel is pretty much just a room like any other hotel. But the restaurant and bar... oh wow! Sper delicious cocktails, we ended up drinking 3 each instead of just 1. and the dinner was fantastic! One of the best we had in 2 weeks of iceland!

the beds could be better, and the location "near airport" is still not really "airport" and you need taxi if you have luggage. The Aurora hotel which is on the actual airport is much more convenient for connecting flights, but since that one is full often, this hotel serves as a decent second choice. also much better food!

Great location - near to the airport.

We especially booked the hotel to be close to the airport - but they have an issue in organizing taxi's to the airport. On the day we left, but also the day before, people had to wait for 'reserved' taxi's for close to 30 minutes. This is a BIG disadvantage, considering you select the hotel for its location close to the airport. It caused a lot of stress on our side. The people at the reception are cooperative but do not seem to understand the impact this might have on your travel scheme. So do not select the hotel for its location close to the airport.

The hotel is wonderful. Breakfast is great with options galore! Nice bar for an afternoon drink and they even gave us drink coupons which was a nice touch. Rooms are a nice size with a lovely walk in shower. No nasty tub to climb over. Our flight was cancelled so they gave us a late checkout which was wonderful!

My only complaint was, as it is advertised as an airport hotel it is about 10 minutes away, there is no shuttle so we had to pay for a cab which was annoying and about $25. A shuttle would be much better!
