Great hotel with friendly staff and top notch amenities. Right downtown, with access to the beautiful city of reykjavik, and great bars and restaurants in and around the hotel!

I found it's best to park in a parking garage which is located just a couple blocks up the road rather than trying to negotiate street parking. It's not the fault of the hotel, the staff were very friendly and informative and how to find parking and how to negotiate the city.

The bed was very comfortable (and that is from two people who are very messy sleepers). The room felt very warm, comfortable, and welcoming after a long day exploring the town and country. The lobby while yes small and relatively tucked away was easy to navigate,warm, and not cluttered. The friendly staff didn’t hurt the environment either.

The only issue we had the with the entirety of the property was the shower. I can not speak for every room but the issue we ended up having was that the drain in the shower did not drain faster than the rate of which the water was coming out of the shower head. Everything else about the bathroom was great.

Excellent location, great room, whole hotel was immaculately kept, staff (reception, dining room, cleaning) were friendly & helpful. Breakfast buffet was absolutely fabulous! We'd love to go back to Iceland, and wouldn't stay at any other hotel in Reykjavik other than the Apotek!

Only improvement we might have liked to see was our packed breakfast upon departure day (so a small grumble really)... Unfortunately our bus to the airport left unnecessarily early in the morning, and we had to leave before the excellent hotel buffet breakfast opened (07:00), which we had of course paid for as part of the bed & breakfast package. The hotel were kind enough to provide us with a packed breakfast to take with us (for which - thanks), but it was only a ham & cheese sandwich and an apple, which was not representative of the fantastic breakfast buffet. Perhaps a little more imagination from the (excellent) restaurant staff here?

Very comfy bed and spacious rooms. The room was equipped with everything we needed, including two TVs and bluetooth speakers. All staff members were super friendly and helpful. Fabulous location. We got the breakfast buffet included and it was incredible!!

While we loved the location, we found it a bit noisy at night if we wanted to keep our windows open since we were facing a park and some restaurants. Was no issue with ear plugs though.

Hotel’s policy of only cleaning your room upon request doesn’t match is high price point. I clean at my home, not on vacation. I question whether this policy is really “green”. Reuse towels, of course, but please clean my room without being asked.

Very central location -easy to walk everywhere. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Apotek restaurant was superb for dinner and the buffet breakfasts were also good.

Very noisy at night at the weekend especially Saturday night. Loud music from another venue close by until 3am! Safe did not work even though we reported it and it was looked at. Didn’t progress as could use other family member’s safe

A top hotel, definitely our favourite in Reykjavik. Great location, modern and comfortable rooms, and especially exceptional friendly service from its staff, always willing to assist when needed.

What could be improved is the closet space in the room. Our spacious room (junior suite) did not have sufficient closet space, certainly not for a longer stay of several days. But the staff immediately offered a solution and brought an additional closet 👍.

Perfect location for being walking distance to so many great sights in Rekyavik! The rooms were comfy, spacious, and clean. The breakfast was nice. I would definitely stay again.

They didn't have a dedicated parking location for hotel guests, just street parking, so we had to keep re-filling the meter. But I would still stay here again.

Location location location! Friendly staff, easy checkin and checkout, very clean property.

I expected a European small room, but this was really small! Couldn't even open the door all the way because of the luggage rack. Also the desk chair blocks what little walking space there is if you pull it out to put your feet up on the bed. It was fine for the price, but would definitely not have appreciated paying full price for so little space.

perfect central location to shops bars and restaurants. the hotel is well maintained and clean. the staff are friendly and always available at the reception. the rooms were cleaned and made up every day, and also drinks and towels replaced. the rooms have extra touches like a nespresso machine and Bluetooth speaker. quality shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathrooms. couldn’t have asked for more.
