Star Beach Village & Water Park

We really enjoyed our stay here. The front staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They answered any questions we had and also assisted us with transportation during a day before our check out. We had a great room overlooking the sea. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. We had full access to the bars and restaurants located at the resort in the all inclusive package and the selection of food was great. We were especially pleased to be able to have Cretan cuisine offered as well. There are quite a few water play areas for the kids which kept them busy. They did have entertainment nightly and a kids corner where they had an activity for the children. we also had front access to the beach with chairs an umbrellas available for those who chose the all inclusive package.

The public bathroom facilities may have needed more attention but understandably there are hundreds of people coming and going throughout the day.

Awesome location to spend time with family. Star suit with sea view is fabulous. All pool bar were neat and clean. Bar tenders are very friendly and jolly by nature.

Should arrange some own cruise activities so customers will not have to struggle to get good cruise activities.

The "village" is huge and there are lots of things to do, it was great with a small child - many different activities and shallow pools. Our room was in a quiet area at the far end of the hotel and seemed to be recently renovated, clean and very spacious. The facilities are very well maintained and regularly cleaned. The drinks at the bar were surprisingly strong :) There were good vegan options at the buffet, especially at the main restaurant for dinner, however we had to order vegan dessert in advance and there was only one option.

Vegan options for breakfast could have been better, as well as labelling foods as vegan that weren't in the vegan area of the buffet - for example, it wasn't clear if any of the bread was vegan, and the staff gave us contradicting information about it. The snack bar also had no vegan options other than fries, it seems like they used to have a vegan burger but don't anymore. In general, the buffet staff seems to not understand at all what vegan means and that was very frustrating. We also had some ants in the room and the bed wasn't very comfortable.

The food - cretan style restaurant was great the head chef and staff especially polite and warming. The beach on the right side of the resort was great, nice view and sunbeds in good position. I gave this hotel a 9 because I asked the resort to be placed somewhere away from the noise because of my daughters sake and gladly they put us away from the beachfront were some partying was taking place. Thank you so much for that The staff, especially the cleaners taking care of the rooms 5xx were complete legends and she looked after us well. This place is great and relaxing, our first time in Crete and ill definitely come back The service was 10, the only reason I didn't give a 10 because being an englishman the breakfast was okay-ish but just wasn't accustomed to certain things on display, but the lunch and dinner was exceptional

A lot of youths and noise surrounding the beach club however its an attraction so it wasnt unbearable unless your in a room closest to the party area I can imagine this being a bit dire for some families, maybe a good idea is to have these events in maybe once or twice a week? I can't really fault it for anything else apart from that but that was indirect

We liked the variety of swimming pools, water slides and food selection. The hotel staff was amazingly kind and always willing to assist. We enjoyed the entertainment nights. Excellent location within walking distance from the town center.

Absence of supervision at swimming pools. There should be some monitoring of the activities that take place inside the pool which can sometimes become very unsafe for the younger kids. The toilets were not clean and they were not accesible by wheelchair or strollers. Inconvenient to be used by little kids. The trash bins at swimming pools were not emptied regularly. WiFi was practically accessible only from hotel lobby. There is a daily party/clubbing zone where the music and action may be disturbing for families with little kids.

Definitely worth the amount spent, an all inclusive package is what you need. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. The place has 3 restaurants not including the bars that has snacks. The room is good enough for two people, and park and water activities was so much fun. The place is good for all family, friend or just a quick getaway. The hotel staff were very friendly.

The hotel was comfortable and right by the beach. The waterpark kept the kids entertained. The staff were all welcoming. The bar staff and reception were good. The gym has a personal trainer available

Because of Covid-19 there was no laundry service. One treadmill was out of order.

The staff are incredibly courteous and professional: from the waiting staff to the concierge and cleaning staff. In particular, Dimitros, Nassia and Vagellis were superb in building a lovely rapport with our 3 year old. Star Beach is a village with many different apartment style complexes. They are spread over an area covering the beachfront. To walk from one end to the other will take no more than 10 minutes and we ended up enjoying the walks to lunch or dinner. We stayed in Zone H which was well away from the party areas of the resort and we experienced little to no noise at night. The resort has three dedicated kids water park areas which will provide plenty for the family to do. This is coupled with a water park with slides for older children and adults. The beach front has several different areas that can be explored which are Sandy and the water crystal clear! Finally there is a variety of food available from the various restaurants (all inclusive) and these are mixed up each night. Generally there is something for everyone!

The all inclusive option does not work out good value for those who do not drink alcoholic drinks: the only non-alcoholic cocktail available anywhere is a ‘fruit mock tail’ which consists of a variety of syrups that are sickly and does not taste nice. The soft drinks are a cheap watered down brand and the juices are also not fresh: again tasting like chemicals.

Awesome all-inclusive package (delicious foods and cokctails) with a really kind staff. We preferred Dionysos Pool and Snack Bar, the staff there is awesome.

The village has several pools, which is good, however, in the middle of September, those were very cold for a little child. This is why it's only 9/10. Even we, as adults couldn't enjoy them, all of them were approximately 20-22 degrees. 1 or 2 heated pools for the little ones would be highly beneficial (I guess, the pool temperature is much better in July).

The hotel personnel very kind and friendly.

The football court doesn’t have lights during the night, kids was playing in the dark. The beach volley court was too hot, need more water or a hose to wet the sand. Just buckets wasn’t enough.
