Parkhotel Atlantic

The room was fine, and breakfast was great. Not a lot of choices, but what was there was great. The location is quite far from public transit, There is a bus every half an hour or so, but only during workdays and it does not operate at night. It is possible to walk from the old town, and the walk is quite nice and scenic, but it takes at least 30 minutes.

The toilet flush system in my room was not the best. It had no reservoir, only a push button directly connected to the water line. So when flushing, there is only the pressure from the water pipe. In some situations, it may take several tries to successfully flush.

Very friendly and easy check in. The hotel is an older building and feels like it even with renovations. However, the room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was very soft and comfy. There is free street parking available, but we did have to park down a couple streets to find a spot available. Walkable distance to the Heidelberg Castle, which was nice so we kept our parking spot on the street. It's a good hotel to stay at for the price.

No close restaurants unless you drive or walk a far distance. The hotel is on top of a hill so walking down isn't so bad, but walking back up is brutal. There is no close bus stop, so you must take a taxi if you aren't driving by your own car. Breakfast was very expensive and we opted out.

This is a nice traditional hotel that is surprisingly pet friendly in a quiet neighborhood in the outskirts of Heidelberg. It is a few minutes walk to the Castle overlooking Old Town. The hotel has nicely kept grounds with plenty of tables and seating with nice views outside. The accommodations are pretty good, and meet all my expectations for a hotel. The price for two nights stay with pets was not bad at all.

I did not get a good wifi signal in the room I was staying in. I do not think any of the 'downstairs' room got good wifi. The parking situation was a bit small, but not bad for a german city. If you cannot park by the building there is parking very close by on the same street.

It wasn't easy to get to the hotel, but to be honest, it was more than worth the drive uphill. The hotel is in a beautiful location set high up amongst trees. A stunning spot! The room was lovely with loads of space and double aspect windows. We were very comfortable there and also happy to simply sit in the garden under the trees, sipping a delicious, cold glass of wine. Lovely staff - nothing was too much trouble for them.

The parking was difficult, although we were lucky with a space. There are only four spaces and I could see that it wasn't really possible to expand - so get there early! Street parking outside didn't seem to be too much of a problem though.

The hotel is about 30 to 40 minutes walk to the city center. It is not expensive to take Taxi there, we spent 12 euro on the way back for taxi.

We booked two rooms. One room is ok and the other room has a big furnance like thing in the middle of the room. This is OK, but the room is way too dark, such that we cannot read or do anything except sleeping. We are also very lucky that we had a free parking at the hotel's parking lot.

It’s a charming villa with its own atmosphere situated up a hill above the city. I loved that it was quiet and situated in nature. The checkin/out staff was young, motivated, very professional and helpful! The breakfast was super fresh and had a great variety. The man who serves the breakfast was very attentive and nice. The room was comfy. The hotel is also great for people with dogs.

For being picturesque on a hill the only “drawback” is that there are not many restaurants nearby to walk to (I found one). It also gets pretty dark on the roads around it, so not too much dog walking at night :)

Great location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet in a nice dining room. Pleasant garden with tables and chairs for use of guests and nice shaded areas. Refreshments available from the small kitchen in the evening. Bus stop right at the hotel — we didn’t have to use our car for the 4 days we were there. Generously sized room with sofa, small desk and chair.

Fantastic location above Heidelberg. Really nice breakfast. A call after forgotten things were found; it was easy to just drive back and to pick it up. It was great to get the permission for parking the car at the nearby museum.

We were a big group and the alike rooms weren't really alike. Some business rooms had a rather weak WiFi. The superior rooms were great.

What a wonderfully quiet place with splendid views of the valley above Heidelberg! The garden is small but lovely. Our room was on a corner with lots of light and greenery. The staff were very helpful including good restaurant recommendations. The 3km walk to town via the castle to the town 100m below the hotel was pleasant and the taxi ride back for €11 was quick.

Walking back from the city is not so easy if you have mobility challenges!

The room was quite dusty and especially the floor and windows were moist (we stayed on the -1 floor). Renovation works seem necessary. No option to get here without a car especially when it gets dark. It's a steep climb. But the taxi is easy and affordable.
